Abstract

Not many Kiai have thoughts about multiculturalism. Kiai M. Sholeh Bahruddin and Kiai Abdullah Syam are considered unique because they have multicultural Islamic thoughts and actualize them in building community harmony. This paper aimed to explore the basis, approach, and channel of Islamic actualization in responding to various challenges. The research method used was the qualitative method with a symbolic interaction approach. The data collection procedures were conducted through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The data were analyzed by following the steps suggested by Saldana, Miles, and Huberman (2013). This study found that the basis for the actualization of multicultural Islamic thoughts of Kiai M. Sholeh Bahruddin and Kiai Abdullah Syam was social, humanistic, cultural, religious, and psychological. The approach used was a synergy between religious, moral, psychological, theological, cultural, social, and educational approaches. Meanwhile, the actualization channels used are through social channels, cultural arts, propaganda, social media, silaturrahim (hospitality in Islam), education levels, and scientific meetings.

Abstract

Paket kebijakan Kampus Merdeka menjadi langkah awal dari rangkaian kebijakan untuk perguruan tinggi. Hal ini sebagai bagian untuk melepaskan belenggu agar lebih mudah bergerak. Tujuan penelitian ini, mendeskripsikan tentang implementasi kebijakan Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) di Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam (PTKI). Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan analisis deskriptif dan studi literatur (library research). Sumber utama dalam penelitian ini adalah buku, artikel, jurnal maupun sumber bacaan lain yang berhubungan dengan kebijakan Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) di Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam (PTKI). Hasil penelitian: 1) Landasan kebijakan Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) di Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam (PTKI) adalah Peraturan Menteri Pendidikan Nasional No. 3 Th 2020 tentang Standar Nasional Pendidikan Tinggi dan Keputusan Direktur Jenderal Pendidikan Islam No 1591 Th 2022 tentang Petunjuk Teknis Implementasi Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka pada Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam. 2) Program MBKM di PTKI ada 9 (sembilan) yaitu pertukaran mahasiswa, magang/kerja praktik, asisten mengajar di satuan pendidikan, penelitian/riset, proyek kemahasiswaan, kegiatan wirausaha, studi/proyek independent, membangun desa/kuliah kerja nyata serta moderasi beragama. 3) Manfaat dari pelaksanaan MBKM bagi mahasiswa adalah untuk meningkatkan perluasan jaringan, soft skills mahasiswa, pengembangan kompetensi mahasiswa sejak dini untuk mempersiapkan ketika masuk di dunia kerja dan menambahkan kompetensi tambahan selain pembelajaran di dalam kelas perkuliahan serta mahasiswa menjadi agen/duta (influencer) moderasi beragama. Sehingga dengan adanya Kebijakan MBKM di PTKI maka diharapkan dapat mencetak lulusan yang memiliki kepribadian unggul, kompeten, memiliki jiwa religious calling (panggilan keagamaan) serta mengasah kemampuan sesuai bakat dan minat sebagai persiapan karir masa depan.

Abstract

This article aims to explore the meaning of Islamization of Contemporary Science and Scientization of Islam (Pengilmuan Islam), as well as a paradigm comparison of the two. Both have a role in integrating Islam and science, which has the aim of eliminating the dichotomy between science and Islam. So, both of these come forward to play a role in this goal. The study of the integration of Islam and science is very thick and has many styles in Indonesia in particular, such as: Pohon Ilmu, Integrasi Interkoneksi Sarang laba-laba, Twins Tower, Roda Pedati, Model Intan Berlian Ilmu, islamization of contemporary science, scientization of Islam and so on. However, the author only examines the two styles, namely Islamization and scientization of Islam. This research uses library research with the method of comparative analysis. So that it produces several points, including that the islamization of science and the scientification of Islam have the same goal, namely to integrate religion and science, so that there is no dichotomy between the two.  However, there are differences in the paradigm of the two, Islamization of science is said to be mentioned from context to text, but the author does not agree with that opinion, rather agreeing that Islamization of science is a way of Islamizing or returning the meaning of science to the original, so that there is no mixture with secular science. While the Islamization of science is reading an object from text to context, in the author's opinion this is more to answer the wonders of the text in the Qur'an. From the conclusion, if all styles or types of integration in Indonesia agree and join, then the scientific tradition in Islam will be more advanced and developed.
