Abstract

Lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.) is one of the selected seasonal crops which is cultivated with a hydroponic system. In general, hydroponics uses water with chemical nutrition, AB Mix 800 ppm. One way to reduce the negative impact of chemicals on health is the use of Liquid Organic Fertilizers (LOF). The purpose of this research is to search for the combination of Liquid Organic Fertilizer (LOF) as hydroponic nutrition which can produce the best lettuce plant growth, thereby minimizing the use of chemicals. The research method used is CRD (completely randomized design) with two stages of research. The first stage of the research consisted of six treatments that are Liquid Organic Fertilizer (LOF) of rabbit urine, Azolla extract, goat urine, cow urine, vegetable waste, each treatment contains 10% concentration and AB Mix 800 ppm as control with 5 repetitions. The results of the first stage of research are taken from the top two as the basis for the second stage of research that is rabbit urine and Azolla extract. The second stage of the research consisted of ten treatments that are 100% LOF of Azolla extract, 100% LOF of rabbit urine, 100% AB Mix 800 ppm, 50% Azolla extract + 50% rabbit urine, 50% Azolla extract + 50% AB Mix 800 ppm, 50% rabbit urine + 50% AB Mix 800 ppm, 75% Azolla extract + 25% rabbit urine, 75% rabbit urine + 25% Azolla extract, 75% Azolla extract + 25% AB Mix 800 ppm ,75% rabbit urine + 25% AB Mix 800 ppm with 3 repetition. The data obtained are analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) at the test level of 5%, then further tested using Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT) with the level of 5%. The best results of the first research are Liquid Organic Fertilizer (LOF)of Azolla extract and rabbit urine. The best results of the second research obtained from the treatment of 50% Azolla extract + 50% AB Mix 800 ppm and 75% Azolla extract and 25% AB Mix 800 ppm. It proofed with the high result in treatment of fresh weight of the plant.

Abstract

The demand for cayenne pepper always increases every year along with the increase in population. To increase the yield of cayenne pepper, among others, through fertilization by giving doses of NPK and monosodium glutamate (MSG) fertilizers. The purpose of the study was to determine the best dose of NPK and MSG fertilizer on the growth and yield of cayenne pepper plants. The research was carried out at the Practical Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta in August - December 2021. The study used a factorial completely randomized design with 4 replications. The first factor is the dose of NPK fertilizer with levels: NPK fertilizer dose of 1.5 g/plant, and 3.0 g/plant. The second factor with the level: monosodium glutamate dose includes no MSG 0 g/plant; 2.5 g/plant; 5.0 g/plant; and 7.5 g/plant. The results showed that there was no interaction between the dose of NPK fertilizer and monosodium glutamate (MSG) on the growth and yield of cayenne pepper. The dose of NPK fertilizer 3 g/plant and MSG 5 g/plant can provide the best growth and yield of cayenne pepper including number of leaves, number of fruit per plant, total number of fruit per plant and total fruit weight per plant.

Abstract

Budidaya kacang tanah (Arachis hypogaea L.) di lahan sawah memiliki permasalahan penurunan produktivitas pada usaha peningkatan hasil. Tujuan penelitian untuk menentukan dosis yang tepat pada pemberian inokulan rhizobium dan kapur dolomit. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada April sampai Juli 2021 di lahan sawah Desa Selomartani, Kalasan, Sleman. Metode penelitian menggunakan rancangan percobaan faktorial dua faktor (3 x 4) diulang sebanyak tiga kali, menggunakan percobaan lingkungan dengan rancangan acak kelompok lengkap (RAKL). Faktor I adalah dosis inokulan rhizobium tiga level, yaitu R0=0 g/kg benih; R1=10 g/kg benih; dan R2=20 g/kg benih. Faktor II adalah dosis kapur dolomit empat level, yaitu D0=0 t/ha; D1=2 t/ha; D2=4 t/ha; dan D3=6 t/ha. Hasil pengamatan dianalisis menggunakan analisis varian (ANOVA) dan apabila perlakuan ada pengaruh nyata, dilanjutkan dengan menggunakan analisis uji beda DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test) dengan taraf signifikansi α 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat interaksi pada tinggi tanaman 28 HST, jumlah daun 28 HST, hari berbunga, dan bobot 100 biji. Hasil terbaik penelitian adalah pemberian rhizobium 10 g/benih dengan dolomit 2 t/ha (R1D1) dan rhizobium 10 g/benih dengan dolomit 4 t/ha (R1D2), dibuktikan dengan hasil tertinggi dan berpengaruh nyata pada jumlah daun 28 HST, hari berbunga, bobot kering brangkasan, dan bobot kering polong.
