AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan yang signifikan kompetensi pengetahuan IPA antara kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran learning cycle berbasis kearifan lokal dengan siswa yang dibelajarkan melalui pembelajaran konvensional pada siswa kelas IV SD Gugus VIII Sukawati tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu dengan rancangan non-equivalen control group desain. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV SD Gugus VIII Sukawati yang terdiri dari 92 siswa. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 42 siswa, yang terdiri dari SDN 5 Singapadu Kaler sebanyak 21 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen dan SDN 1 Singapadu Kaler sebanyak 21 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol. Penentuan kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol menggunakan teknik random sampling. Pengumpulan data kompetensi pengetahuan IPA dilakukan dengan metode tes dan instrument yang digunakan adalah tes objektif pilihan ganda biasa. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji-t. Rata-rata hasil kompetensi pengetahuan IPA siswa yang dibelajarkan menggunakan model pembelajaran learning cycle berbasis kearifan lokal lebih tinggi dengan rata-rata 80,00 dibandingkan siswa yang dibelajarkan menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional dengan rata-rata 72,14. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan penguasaan kompetensi pengetahuan IPA antara kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan menggunakan model pembelajaran learning cycle berbasis kearifan lokal dengan siswa yang dibelajarkan menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional dengan thitung = 2,147; dengan taraf signifikansi 5% dan memiliki dk =n1+n2-2 = 40 diperoleh ttabel = 2,021. Hal ini berarti h0 ditolak dan ha diterima. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran learning cycle berbasis kearifan lokal berpengaruh terhadap kompetensi pengetahuan IPA pada siswa kelas IV SD di Gugus VIII Sukawati tahun ajaran 2017/2018.Kata-kata kunci : learning cycle, kearifan lokal, kompetensi pengetahuan IPAAbstractThe purpose of this research was to know the significant difference of science knowledge competence between groups of students who were taught with learning models of the learning cycle based on local wisdom with students who were taught through conventional learning in fourth grade students of SD Gugus VIII Sukawati in academic year 2017/2018. This research used a quasi-experimental research with non-equivalent design group design. The population of this study was all students of class IV SD Gugus VIII Sukawati consisting of 92 students. The sample of this research were 42 students which were divided into two groups. The first group were 21 students as experiment class from SDN 5 Singapadu Kaler and the second group were 21 students as control class from SDN 1 Singapadu Kaler. The arrangement of experimental group and control group was done byusing random sampling technique. The data were obtained by test method and the instrument used for collecting the data was a regular multiple choices test. The data were analyzed by using t-test. The Result was that the student who were taught by using learning cycle based on local wisdom got 80.00 which was higher than the students who were taught through conventional learning with score only around 72.14.The results showed that there was a significant difference in the understanding of science knowledge competence between groups of students who were taught throughlearning model based on local wisdom and students who were taught through conventional learning with thitung = 2.147; with a significance level of 5% and had dk = n1 + n2-2 = 40 and obtained ttable = 2,021. This means h0 was rejected and hawas accepted. Thus it can be concluded that the learning model of learning cycle based on local wisdom has a effect on science knowledge competence in fourth graders of SD Gugus VIII Sukawati in academic year 2017/2018.Keywords: learning cycle, local wisdom, knowledge competence of science.
