Suneth RF, Wahid W, Room MV, Hidayah I. 2020. Effect of manure on off season shallot (Allium ascalonicum L.) cultivation in MBD regency. In: Herlinda S et al  (Eds). Prosiding Seminar Nasional Lahan Suboptimal ke-8 Tahun 2020, Palembang 20 oktober 2020. pp. xx. Palembang: Penerbit & Percetakan Universitas Sriwijaya (UNSRI).Organic off-season cultivation of shallots is one way to maintain the availability of shallots. Off-season shallots are a concern to be applied in Southwest Maluku Regency (MBD) in developing shallot centers in dry wet climates. This activity aims to explain the effect of onion cultivation outside the season (off season) using goat manure in the coastal area of Lakor Island, Southwest Maluku Regency. The study was carried out in April - June 2019 Lakor Island, MBD Regency, using a randomized block design consisting of 4 treatments (P) and repeated 4 times. Treatments using manure in the form of fermented livestock manure include P0; Without Manure, P1; pukan 10 ton/ha+ organic supplementary fertilizer, P2; pukan 20 ton/ha+ organic supplementary fertilizer, P3; pukan 30 ton/ha+ organic supplementary fertilizer. The results of the study showed that the treatment of 30 tonnes of fertilizers + organic supplementary fertilizer (P3) gave the best results on growth variables with plant height 34.95 cm, number of tillers 6.07 with the number of tubers 6.84 planting / holes. The harvest variables showed that P3 treatment was better, namely the wet tuber weight of harvested tubers 5.71 tonnes / ha, dry tuber weight 4.42 tonnes/ha. The application of the off season system can help farmers continue to cultivate shallots even in the rainy season.

Abstract

The objective of the study was to analyze the ability of the Karya Tani group to utilize peanut and mung bean straw as green concentrate ingredients. The study was conducted at Mekarsari Village, Anyar District, Serang Regency. The qualitative study method used pilot techniques for peanut and mung bean cultivation. The findings revealed that (1) Peanuts planted with a spacing of 40x20 cm had the highest performance, but peanut plants planted with a spacing of 40x40 cm produced the majority of leaves, and the average height of peanut plants aged 50-55 days after planting was 58.3 cm with 360 leaves/plant; (2) The average size of mung bean plants 70 days after planting was 49 cm with 25 leaves/plant; (3) Peanut productivity of 1.9 tons/ha produces a stover of 0.7 tons/ha. Green bean productivity is 1 ton/ha with a stover weight of 1 ton/ha; (4) the Karya Tani group can utilize peanut and mung bean waste as green concentrate material. The nature of the utilization of peanut stover is complementary to Indigovera plants. With a total of 2.6 tons of stover, it can meet the needs of 139 sheep for two months. The Karya Tani Group should be sustainable in cultivating legume-sourced food crops and indigo vera development to maintain the availability of quality sheep feed.

Abstract

Herbs are plants with moist stems that grow wild along roadsides or on the unmaintained ground. Herbs are more commonly associated with plants that are harmful to civilization, even though they have numerous uses in life, including traditional medicine, ornamental plants, and contextual instructional resources. People are unaware of herbs and plants categorized as herbs, which is one of the reasons why they are considered hazardous plants. A mangrove forest is a type of forest with a tidal environment; plants that may grow in mangrove forests are characteristic vegetation, notably salt-tolerant plants. The goal of this research was to describe the plant variety in the Muara Aluh-Aluh Mangrove Area. The data was gathered in the 500-meter-long Muara Aluh-Aluh Mangrove Area, which was divided into ten locations separated by 50 meters. A plot of 1 m x 1 m with as many as 4 pieces was made at each place using the line transect method and oriented diagonally. The quantity and varieties of herbaceous plants found in the plot were counted as samples. According to the findings of the study on herbaceous plant diversity in the Muara Aluh-Aluh Mangrove area, there are 21 different varieties of herbaceous plants with a diversity index of 2.66, putting them in the medium diversity category. Keywords - Diversity, Herbs, Mangroves, Muara Aluh-Aluh
