Abstract

Mother has significant roles on child development. Absence of mother potentially causes children maladap tive behavior like aggression. The objectives of this research: (1) to compare emotional intelligence of children who have migrant worker mother with children who live with their mother; (2) to compare aggression behavior of children who have migrant worker mother with children who live with their mother; (3) to analyze determination of mother’s status to aggression behavior with emotional intelligence as intervening variable. This research uses quantitative method. It uses 80 first primary school students in Gabus Sub regency, Pati Regency who are obtained by class random. Quantitative data are obtained from two psychological scales. Scale of Student Aggression Behavior contains 14 items (α = 0,785) and Scale of emotional intelligence contains 23 item (α = 0,865). This research has three findings: (1) children who have migrant worker mother have lower emotional intelligence than children who live with their mother; (2) children who have migrant worker mother more are aggressive than children who live with their mother; (3) Mother’s status determines children’s aggression behavior with emotional intelligence as intervening variable.

Abstract

ENGLISHCultural ceremony is one representative of culture possessed by particular community. This research aimed to describe cultural ceremonies held by Jrahi and Pakem Village in Pati Regency. It used qualitatitive approach and primary data that were obtained by observation and in-dept interview. Informants were cultural figures from Jrahi and Pakem Village. Data were analyzed descriptively. The results of research are: (1) Cultural ceremonies held by Jrahi and Pakem communities source from Javanese Culture; (2) Cultural ceremony held during pregnancy is mitoni or tingkeban, while those held during after birt care are krayanan, sepasar bayi, and selapan bayi; (3) There are some differences on appliance of cultural ceremony. Community of Pakem Village makes changes, so that they form new habits, although those do not deviate from its basic culture. INDONESIAUpacara adat merupakan salah satu representasi budaya yang dimiliki oleh suatu masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan menggambarkan upacara adat yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat Desa Jrahi dan Desa Pakem selama masa kehamilan hingga pascapersalinan. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif menggunakan data primer yang didapatkan melalui observasi dan wawancara mendalam. Informan penelitian adalah tokoh adat di Desa Jrahi dan Desa Pakem. Pengolahan data menggunakan analisis kualitatif. Hasil penelitian adalah: (1) Upacara adat di Desa Jrahi dan Desa Pakem yang dilakukan pada masa perawatan maternal bersumber dari Budaya Jawa; (2) Upacara adat yang dilakukan selama kehamilan adalah mitoni, sedangkan pada masa nifas, upacara adat yang dilakukan adalah krayanan, sepasar bayi, dan selapan bayi; (3) Terdapat perbedaan dalam pelaksanaan upacara adat di Desa Jrahi dan Desa Pakem, dimana Masyarakat Desa Pakem melakukan perubahan sehingga terbentuk kebiasaan baru, walaupun tidak menyimpang dari budaya asal.

Abstract

ENGLISHAccuracy on selecting maternal services influences adequate delivery and postnatal care (PNC). This research aimed to (1) to describe delivery and postnatal service utilization in Puskesmas Margoyoso II and Puskesmas Gunungwungkal; (2) to analyze factors related to delivery service selection; (3) to analyze factors related to postnatal service selection. This research used quantitative approach as well as qualitative approach. The number of respondent was 61 mothers whose 3-6 month baby. Data was analyzed using descriptive analysis and chi-square. This research resulted: (1) awareness to experience complete and adequate PNC was lower than awareness to experience delivery on skilled birth attendant; (2) majority respondent preferred private midwife to village midwafe (BPS) to village midwife; (3) factors related to birth attendant selection was residence. Respondents domiciled in Puskesmas Gunungwungkal tended to choose village midwife, while Respondents domiciled in Puskesmas Margoyoso II inclined to choose private midwife; (4) factors related to postnatal care selection is work status and residence. Respondent had strong need to experience traditional postnatal cares. Those cares were applied to behaviors which potentially harmed recovery process. INDONESIAKetepatan dalam menentukan pelayanan maternal yang lengkap dan memadai mempengaruhi keberhasilan persalinan dan perawatan pascapersalinan (PNC). Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) menggambarkan pemanfaatan pelayanan persalinan dan perawatan pascapersalinan di Puskesmas Margoyoso II dan Puskesmas Gunungwungkal; (2) menganalisis faktor yang berhubungan dengan pemilihan pelayanan persalinan; (3) menganalisis faktor yang berhubungan dengan pemilihan pelayanan pascapersalinan (PNC). Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif bersama dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Responden penelitian berjumlah 61 ibu yang memiliki bayi berusia 3-6 bulan. Pengolahan data menggunakan analisis dekriptif dan chi-square. Hasil penelitian adalah: (1) kesadaran melakukan perawatan pascapersalinan secara lengkap dan memadai lebih rendah dibandingkan kesadaran melakukan persalinan di tenaga kesehatan; (2) sebagian besar responden cenderung lebih memilih Bidan Praktek Swasta (BPS) dibandingkan bidan desa; (3) faktor yang berhubungan dengan pemilihan tenaga persalinan adalah wilayah tempat tinggal. Responden di wilayah Puskesmas Gunungwungkal cenderung memilih bidan desa, sementara responden di wilayah Puskesmas Margoyoso II cenderung memilih BPS; (4) faktor yang berhubungan dengan pemilihan pelayanan perawatan pascapersalinan adalah status pekerjaan dan wilayah tempat tinggal. Responden memiliki kebutuhan yang kuat untuk melaksanakan perawatan pascapersalinan secara tradisional yang diwujudkan dalam beberapa perilaku yang dapat mengganggu proses pemulihan kesehatan.
