Abstract

Pelayanan publik kebanyakan masih dianggap kurang memuaskan, sedangkan pada Badan Pelayanan Perizinan Terpadu berhasil menjadi pembeda dari organisasi publik kebanyakan. Beberapa penghargaan yang diterima menunjukkan hasil dari kerjasama yang baik antara pimpinan dan bawahan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis gaya komunikasi kepemimpinan dan menganalisis peran komunikasi pimpinan kepada bawahan dalam meningkatkan pelayanan prima pada Badan Pelayanan Perizinan Terpadu Kota Banjarbaru. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Data diperoleh dari wawancara mendalam dengan informan. Hasil wawancara dianalisis secara deskriptif dan secara kualitatif melalui tahapan reduksi data, sajian data, dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Gaya komunikasi kepemimpinan menunjukkan tipe yang partisipatif. Peran komunikasi kepemimpinan mendukung bawahan dalam melaksanakan tugasnya. Proposisi yang dihasilkan dari hasil pembahasan adalah 1.Interaksi yang dilakukan pimpinan kepada bawahan dengan menggunakan gaya komunikasi pimpinan partisipatif dalam menyampaikan informasi maupun pesan mampu meningkatkan motivasi bawahan dalam pelayanan publik. 2.Gaya komunikasi pimpinan yang diterapkan kepada bawahan mendapat dukungan penuh didalam organisasi pelayanan publik sehingga tujuan organisasi dapat dicapai. 3.Kemampuan pimpinan dalam mengemban tugas memimpin dan menjalankan organisasi berpengaruh terhadap keberhasilan pelayanan publik.

Abstract

Marketing communication and promotion is the most essential thing in brand development. As a brand, Malang should apply it in order to compete with other cities, more particularly in terms of economic, social, cultural and tourism sector. Malang has potentials that will attract both visitors and investors. City branding should become one of the government’s focus to build its brand. It is the manifestation of city marketing in which objective is to highlight its strength. Based on the researchers’ observation, Malang has yet had attracting city branding composition. The objectives of the research were to collect and analyze all potential assets Malang had to strengthen its identity as a tool to form  city branding. It provided a suggestion to Malang City government in a form of tagline positioning and promotion strategy. The researchers developed a city branding concept for the city and came up with a tagline associated with Malang. The study used qualitative approach and in-depth interview. Based on the analysis, the researcher suggests a tagline “Your Home Sweet Home” as a part of Malang city branding. In addition, the researchers also proposed minor and major proposition. The minor proposition was education sector was the biggest asset Malang had. Therefore, there should be integration between the sector and other activities more particularly ones related to the culture, history and local wisdom of Malang. Furthermore, the major proposition was every city should explore its differentiation that will attract visitors and investors.

Abstract

In the world of shadow puppet performances, there is a central figure known as puppet master or dalang. Dr. Djoko Santoso who lives in the town of Batu East Java, is a doctor and also a dalang. His uniqueness is to synchronize two different professions by making wayang kulit as health education media. This research was conducted to find out how the process of message design done by dr. Djoko Santoso as the main informant in using wayang kulit as health education media. This research uses interpretive approach with phenomenology type of varization. This study used a key informant, dr. Djoko Santoso selected by purposive sampling. Methods of data collection is done by in-depth interview, direct observation, and documentation. The type of this research is qualitative with descriptive analysis level. The results of this study indicate that the informant performs the message design process before performing a wayang kulit show. The treatment done by the informant in designing the message was then referred to as a pre-show observation. This pre-event observation contains several stages: (1) the location identification phase, (2) the construction phase of the issue, and (3) the cultural understanding phase. Informant tend to use verbal messages that are easy to understand the audience in delivering health education. In non-verbal message design, the speaker creates a wayang with a doctor-style clothing design and a nurse to replace the appereance of traditional costume in the purpose to reinforce the medical impression. Â
