Abstract

This study aims to determine the local wisdom of the people of Desa Adat Kuta, Badung Regency, Bali Province, in building harmony between Muslims and Hindus. This study uses social integration theory as a basis for seeing the assimilation and unification of Muslims and Hindus. This study used a qualitative method with the research subjects of village officials, Muslim and Hindu religious leaders, and community leaders. The results showed that the community's wisdom in the Desa Adat Kuta is a hereditary tradition, in the form of mutual agreement in regulating the relationship between Muslims and Hindus, based on the teachings and principles of their respective religions. The sense of kinship in the Desa Adat Kuta is woven through the Nyama Selam and Nyama Hindu traditions. The harmony of Muslims and Hindus is manifested in the freedom to practice worship, Muslims based on the teachings and principles of Ukhuwah Insaniyah and Hindus based on the teachings and principles of Tri Hita Karana. The existence of equality and tolerance does not lead to conflict, including in establishing places of worship because they are regulated by the government and there is intense communication in the Forum for Religious Harmony.

Abstract

Organizational culture is a system of values, beliefs, assumptions, or a norm that has been applied, agreed upon and followed by human resources in an organization as a principle or guideline and solving problems that arise in an organization. In building an organizational culture, of course, each organization, regardless of the type and level of the organization, has different experiences in some circumstances and has a similarity in certain circumstances. This indicates that there is dynamism in an organization in building organizational culture as a guideline and principle for each individual in an organization in carrying out their respective duties and obligations to succeed in building organizational goals. Organizational culture is born from a long process starting from the beginning of the establishment of the organization to the formation phase and to the success phase. A long journey, both in the form of failure and success is a journey that is then used as a foothold in building organizational culture.

Abstract

This research aims to determine how Riau Pos is utilized as a medium of political communication by Riau Governor candidate Abdul Wahid in the 2024 Riau gubernatorial election. The study employs a qualitative descriptive approach using Harold D. Lasswell's Communication Model, which consists of five components: Who, Says What, In Which Channel, To Whom, and With What Effect. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with three groups of informants: Abdul Wahid’s campaign team (political communicator), Riau Pos journalists (media), and Riau Pos readers (audience). The results indicate that Riau Pos plays a significant and beneficial role as a political communication medium for Abdul Wahid. His campaign team used Riau Pos as the main channel to deliver political messages. Riau Pos was chosen due to its high credibility, wide readership, and strong influence in shaping public opinion in Riau Province. The effectiveness of political communication through Riau Pos is reflected in three aspects: (1) increased public knowledge of Abdul Wahid’s programs (cognitive effect), (2) the emergence of sympathy and trust toward the candidate (affective effect), and (3) influence on voter behavior (conative effect). Thus, it can be concluded that Riau Pos is highly beneficial and plays a strategic role as Abdul Wahid’s political communication medium in the 2024 Riau gubernatorial election.
