Abstract

Abstract

This study at PT RRC aims to address the high volume of defective opaque cereal products using the Six Sigma (DMAIC) approach, combined with RCA and FMEA. Pareto analysis revealed that tough texture was the most dominant defect, contributing 70% of total defects. The initial process capability was 3.21 Sigma (DPMO 43,400). RCA and FMEA identified the root cause as manual water volume measurement based on the operator's visual estimation (RPN 448). As a solution, a semi-automatic digital flow meter system was installed. Consequently, the defect dropped to 2,575 kg/month, the RPN decreased to 128, and the process capability significantly improved to 4.28 Sigma (DPMO 2,720). This IDR 15,736,000 investment successfully saved the company IDR 329,460,000 per month

Abstract

Inventory is an important asset that supports the continuity of production processes in manufacturing companies. One of the common problems is the discrepancy between physical inventory and system records during stock opname activities, which may cause financial losses and reduce inventory accuracy. This study aims to identify the causes of stock opname discrepancies and improve inventory accuracy of Local Parts materials at PT Inoi Mobile Indonesia (IMI). The methods applied in this research include Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), Cycle Counting Method Method (CCM) with ABC classification, and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) based on the 5W+1H approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and company stock opname records. The results indicate that the main causes of inventory discrepancies are recording errors, operator negligence, and weak implementation of standard procedures. FMEA analysis shows that non-real-time material issuing has the highest Risk Priority Number (RPN), making it the primary improvement priority. ABC analysis reveals that category A materials contribute the highest cost impact on the company. Furthermore, FTA systematically identifies the root causes of stock discrepancies. The integration of these methods is proven to improve inventory accuracy and effectively reduce stock opname discrepancies.

Abstract

The manufacturing industry is an industry that processes raw materials into semi-finished products and finished products. This study aims to identify and analyze occupational safety risks during the cleaning process of the coffee evaporating machine at PT X. The method used is aquantitative descriptive analysis with a risk assessment approach, using the SNI ISO 33001:2018. Data were collected through interviews, direct observation, and literature studies. The results of the research carried out include eye contact with chemical liquids, skin contact with chemicalliquids, inhalation of chemical vapors or aerosols, spills of chemical liquids in the work area, leaks in the pipeline or mantel system, incorrect use of chemicals, and inadequate ventilation in the work area

Abstract

This research aims to reduce repair costs that arise on the production line so that the company can get maximum profits. Based on the data above, it is found that Powder Production has a very significant increase in repair costs, namely 214% from the previous year. With this very significant increase, the company needs to carry out analyzes and improvements, so that next year the company can get maximum profits. This research uses the QCC method as a tool to process data and look at the factors that cause problems to then find solutions to each root of the problem that occurs (khamaludin). The QCC method was chosen because the QCC method has structured and measurable steps in solving problems. Based on the 8 steps for implementing QCC, it is found that to reduce repair costs in powder production is to reduce downtime on the cyclone blower machine where damage often occurs to the impeller part. What is done is to modify several parts of the impeller. Then, standardization of impeller part orders is carried out. The standard is to attach images that have been approved by the maintenance team and vendor, after that ask for proof of a certificate of product authenticity, after that do a visual update in the form of photos during the work
