Abstract

This study aims to describe (1) learning plans, (2) implementation of learning, (3) assessment of learning, and (4) improvement of learning to write anecdotal texts by utilizing comic media. This study uses classroom action research design which has four stages, namely planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. This class action research was carried out in two cycles, and each cycle consisted of three meetings. The results showed: (1) the learning plan, in the first cycle, the results of the RPP assessment were 80.38 in the good category, and in the second cycle by 94.21 in the very good category. (2) The implementation of learning, in the first cycle the assessment results of the implementation of learning amounted to 80.66 and in the second cycle amounted to 94 in the very good category. (3) The results of the assessment of writing ability in the first cycle obtained a value of 67.37 and in the second cycle obtained a value of 81.20. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan (1) rencana pembelajaran, (2) pelaksanaan pembelajaran, (3) penilaian pembelajaran, dan (4) peningkatan pembelajaran menulis teks anekdot dengan memanfaatkan media komik. Penelitian ini meggunakan desain penelitian tindak kelas (classroom action research) yang memiliki empat tahapan, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Penelitian tindak kelas ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, dan tiap siklus tediri dari tiga kali pertemuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan :(1) rencana pembelajaran, pada siklus I, hasil penilaian RPP sebesar 80,38 dalam kategori baik, dan pada siklus II sebesar 94,21 dalam kategori sangat baik. (2) Pelaksanaan pembelajaran, pada siklus I hasil penilaian pelaksanaan pembelajaran sebesar 80,66 dan pada siklus II sebesar 94 dalam kategori sangat baik. Abstract

The younger generation plays an important role in increasing the quantity and quality of entrepreneurs in Indonesia. However, the majority of young generation do not have a formidable entrepreneurial spirit to be able to face business challenges in the future. As a result, many young entrepreneurs in Indonesia experience failure in entrepreneurship. They are unable to sustain their businesses in the long term. Therefore, socialization activities about the importance of fostering an entrepreneurial spirit in the younger generation are very much needed. Community Service Activities (PkM) in the form of socialization are carried out in Pringrejo Village, Pekalongan District. This activity was attended by Karang Taruna of Pringrejo village. The activity phase includes identification, socialization, and evaluation. The identification results at the initial stage showed that the majority of participants did not own a business. While the majority of participants who already have a business to pursue business in the culinary field. At the evaluation stage, there was an increase in the number of participants who understood the importance of an entrepreneurial spirit from 24% of the total participants at the time before the socialization was carried out to 84% after the socialization was carried out.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a Civics Education teaching module for Elementary School Teacher Education students at the South Tapanuli Institute of Education that integrates Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) and fosters a growth mindset, and to determine the feasibility and effectiveness of the module in improving students' pedagogical competence and positive attitudes. This study uses Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model, including the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research sample consisted of 250 Elementary School Teacher Education students in the 5th semester, divided into 5 classes, with a trial limited to 50 students. Data collection techniques include expert validation, module trials, and student questionnaires to assess pedagogical competence and growth mindset. The results of the study indicate that the developed Civics Education teaching module is feasible to use, with an average expert validation score in the category of Feasible to Very Feasible. The module trial showed an increase in students' pedagogical competence (average score of 79.6, Good category), while the questionnaire results showed the module was effective in fostering a growth mindset (average score of 4.34, Good category). This teaching module was proven to be effective and applicable in Civics learning, and supported the development of students' pedagogical competence and positive attitudes towards learning. This study provides practical implications that the module can be used as an innovative learning medium that improves the teaching quality of Elementary School Teacher Education students.
