Abstract

Carbon dioxide (CO2) is an essential element of the atmosphere that is the basis of photosynthesis process and the vital component of body organism processes. However, if it rises above the normal level, it becomes the most serious cause of global warming. However, the growth of CO2 in the atmosphere has been slowed by the increase in the ability of plants to absorb the gas. This study is aimed to analyze CO2 emissions and plant absorption ability to discover carbon stock and carbon balance in the atmosphere. This study used a sample of human activities that contribute to CO2 emissions along the Soekarno-Hatta Street and the number of trees that soak the emissions. Remote sensing is applied to predict the levels of carbon dioxide emissions and absorption and carbon stocks. The absorption and stock of the carbon are calculated using a specific formula for biomass. The results showed a significant amount of carbon dioxide was emitted by motor vehicles passing through Soekarno-Hatta Street. However, only a small portion was generated by human activities carried out in stores, offices, restaurants, hotels, and hospitals. In line with that, the trees in the Soekarno-Hatta area were able to absorb carbon dioxide about 6 times higher than emitted. It also proved that the Palm tree (Roystonea regia) was capable of storing more carbon dioxide in significant amounts than the other two species, the Ashoka tree (Polyalthia longifolia), and the Rain tree (Samanea saman). Therefore, increasing the number of trees such as Palm tree in the area was recommended.Keywords: Coaching strategy, Regency Adiwiyata, School management, Sintang Regency

Abstract

Indonesia categorized as a mega-biodiversity country, with 25% of the species in the world. One of the uses of natural resources is in the tourism sector. Lately, in Indonesia, research about Social Media and Ecotourism is still not much done. Some studies in Indonesia mostly still view social media as marketing advice. In fact, social media also plays an important role in regulating the perceptions of the people who come to the ecotourism site both from the content or the ease of access. Practically this research can be used as a strategic reference by stakeholders, to be able to use Social Media as media for promotion and education. Then academically, this research can be a reference for further research on the strategy of managing ecotourism with social media. This research is a descriptive type with quantitative and qualitative approaches, with research locations in Malang. Research using an online questionnaire with Google Form. The results are, Instagram is the most used social media by students in Malang. And for the management strategy with Instagram, it can be done with an aggressive strategy that is utilizing Strength and Opportunities from Instagram such as fast, cheap, environmentally friendly and widely used by students and can be more optimized with the AISAS strategy.Keywords: ecotourism, facebook, Instagram, Malang, social media, strategy, student.

Abstract

In aquaculture of an irrigation, the use of cypermethrin-based pesticide can harm nile tilapia which cultured within and its impact on humans who consume the fish. Thus it is necessary to study to determine the threshold of this cypermethrin-based pesticide. Determining the thresholds was using the test of LC50 - 96 hours (Lethal Concentration 50-96 hour) which tested tilapia that dead by 50%, which can be used as a benchmark threshold for cypermethrin-based pesticide. Test of LC50 - 96 hours consist of preliminary test and advanced test. Lethal Concentration 50 (LC50 - 96 hours) of cypermethrin-based pesticide towards nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) is 0.082 ppm. At these doses, tilapia death reached 50%. This concentration is expressed as a threshold usage of cypermethrin-based pesticide on the environment around the aquaculture of tilapia.
