Abstract

This study combined normative study and sociological study. Normative study was conducted by studying legislations which supports the participation of communities in forest resources management. Sociological studies focused on empowerment model for adat communities around forests performed in Bali Province by using community empowerment by West Bali National Park Office/TNBB. Literature data and field discoveries were analyzed qualitatively. The study discovered that the adat communities of TNBB buffer villages already had local wisdom when they interacted with forest resources around them, in the forms of awig-awig, supported by strong traditional institution. People were skillful in making harmonious synthesis between efforts to preserve forests and improving economic welfare by breeding Bali starlings. TNBB helped the communities of TNBB buffer villages to empower their economy by providing livestock breeds, plant seeds, and honeybees. Forest management in TNBB went well and effectively because the management involved the adat communities of TNBB buffer villages, was rooted on local wisdom, and had the full support of local community organizations (traditional villages). Community empowerment model which was rooted on local wisdom, supported by local community organizations, which built harmonious partnership should be developed to prosper communities and preserve forests.

Abstract

A forest is a place where various living things depend. The interests of one creature sometimes clash with the interests of other creatures, causing conflict. The women of Beji Village, Ngawen District, have wisdom in managing forest use conflicts wisely. This study aims to identify, inventory, and criticize the Wonosadi forest utilization conflict resolution model that can provide welfare for all parties. This research seeks to combine legal research with philosophical research. Empirical legal research is carried out by uncovering forest management phenomena so that they can be sustainable and provide welfare for various parties. Philosophical research aims to reveal perspectives, mindsets, and philosophical foundations developed by the people of Beji village, especially their women, in resolving conflicts wisely. The results of the study found that the Beji village community developed a mindset based on an ontological basis that views the forest as not just a collection of trees in the form of mere physical objects, but rather spiritual values. The epistemological basis for understanding the forest is not just using ratios, but at the same time using feelings. Understanding does not aim to master or exploit but to love and admire. The values that form the basis of axiology encourage the perspective of Beji village women in resolving conflicts wisely in the form of values of respect for fellow beings, compassion, caring, cosmic solidarity, and justice. This philosophical foundation is used as a source of material and a source of value for constructing and resolving conflicts based on living law in society (living law).

Abstract

Abstract

The spread of radicalism took place massively in the community, but unfortunately education model of gender-sensitive deradicalisation does not exist yet. The aim of the study is to find an education model of deradicalisation by utilizing femininity values to erode, brake, counteract, and prevent the development of radicalism. The research model is conducted by combining field research with library research. The collected data are analyzed qualitatively by using elements of philosophical methods in the form of: interpretation, internal coherence, holistics, historical continuity and heuristics. The results of the study found: 1) Deradicalization is essentially an attempt to revive maternal values towards those parties who are influenced by radicalism. Femininity values in the form of love, respect for life, inclusive, tolerance, cooperation, interconnection and interdependence with one another, empathy, care, and equality need to be promoted to prevent the development of radicalism. 2) Women need to be involved in the process of delivering deradicalisation messages because they are more persuasive, more patient, and smarter in touching the feelings of those who have been influenced by radicalism. Women also have an important role to arouse the femininity of women's radicalism groups to revive femininity values. 3) Women-friendly public spaces are needed for convicts who have undergone the process of deradicalization, so that they do not rejoin their groups as well as prevent the development of religious radicalism.
