Abstract

Salah satu hal yang membedakan antara laptop dengan komputer desktop adalah, pada laptop telah disediakannya media touchpad sebagai pengganti dari fungsi mouse. Touchpad mempunyai beberapa perbedaan dibanding dengan mouse. Salah satunya yaitu kemampuan touchpad yang dapat digunakan pada media yang tegak/vertical. Berbeda dengan mouse yang harus menggunakan alas yang horizontal. Perbedaan inilah yang membuat touchpad dapat dipasangkan sekalipun pada objek tegak seperti tembok, pintu, dashboard mobil, bahkan layar monitor pun dapat dipasang touchpad sehingga dapat menghemat tempat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat touchpad yang dapat digunakan pada computer desktop melalui jalur ps2 mouse port untuk menggantikan fungsi mouse biasa. System ini menggunakan metode infrared sensing yang dipasang pada dua buah sumbu yang akan mendeteksi koordinat dari pergerakan jari si pemakai. Perancangan perangkat keras touchpad menggunakan mikrokontroler AT89C51 sebagai pusat pengendali, LED infrared dan fotodioda sebagai sensor gerak, serta push button sebagai tombol yang berfungsi sama seperti tombol pada mouse biasa.

Abstract

Elemen termoelektrik atau elemen peltier merupakan suatu bahan yang dapat mengubah perbedaan temperatur tertentu menjadi energi listrik dengan menggunakan prinsip efek seebeck.Pada penelitian ini dirancang suatu modul termoelektrik generator menggunakan 10 elemen peltier tipe TEC1-12706. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik daya yang dihasilkan oleh modul termoelektrik generator dengan rangkaian 10elemen peltier yang bervariasi. Dengan mensimulasikan perbedaan temperatur ΔT = 64 K dan ΔT = 79 K pada modul, masing-masing elemen peltier menghasilkan daya rata-rata sebesar 0,2004 W dan 0,301 W. Rata-rata kenaikan tegangan setiap penambahan 2 peltier rangkai seri adalah sebesar 3,4675 V pada ΔT = 64 K dan 4,9 V pada ΔT = 79 K, sedangkan rata-rata kenaikan arus setiap penambahan 2 peltier rangkai paralel adalah sebesar 0,01 A pada ΔT = 64 K dan 0,03 A pada ΔT = 79 K. Hasil pengujian variasi rangkaian  menunjukkan bahwa rangkaian 10 elemen peltier pada modul yang dirangkai kombinasi paralel-seri menghasilkan daya yang lebih besar dibandingkan rangkaian lainnya. Daya yang dihasilkan adalah sebesar 1,9 W pada ΔT = 64 K dan 2,7 W pada ΔT = 79 K.

Abstract

Inhabitants of the Kendeng mountain region depend on the biodiversity of the forest resources for their livelihood. Mushrooms are important resource that provide benefits to mankind. The aim on this research was to document traditional knowledge in bracket fungi utilization to treat health problems in Baduy tribe community. The results described in this paper were obtained through the exploration and identification of bracket fungi as well as the interview to determine their cultural significance for Baduy people. Quantitative approaches were used to determine the Use Values (UV), Informant Consensus Factor (ICF) and Fidelity level (FL) values. A total of 6 species that were identified as bracket fungi were included to Basidiomycota. The Baduy community considers the main use of bracket fungi as a medicine for several ailments. The highest UV, ICF and FL value were obtained by Ganoderma lucidum. This study provides the information regarding bracket fungi species with the high use values that could be employed in pharmacological research and further biotechnological approaches in order to achieve an adequate revenue.

Abstract

Solar panels are a renewable energy generator widely used by the wider community. However, solar panels have a disadvantage in operation, namely very low efficiency. One way to improve the performance of solar panels is to find the MPP (Maximum Power Point) on the V-P curve of the solar panel. This study aims to find the maximum point of the solar panel so that the output power is maximized. This research has succeeded in making a model of a solar panel-based MPPT system using the Artificial Bee Colony method using a DC-DC converter of the choke type. The model is made using Solarland 200 WP solar panels. The difference in output power based on the test results obtained the results of the power efficiency generated by solar panels using MPPT on changes in irradiation with an average fixed temperature of 99.06%. At temperature changes with constant irradiation, the average is 99.12%.

Abstract

Identifying different types of meat is crucial for preventing fraudulent activities and improving food safety. This research aims to create a classification system for various meat types (beef, goat, and pork) using the Gray Level Co-occurrence Matrix (GLCM) for extracting texture features, followed by classification through a Backpropagation Neural Network (BPNN). The methodology utilizes 60 images of beef, goat, and pork, achieving a remarkable accuracy of 100% in the training phase, which highlights the model's capability to effectively recognize patterns. However, when tested with new data, the system exhibits a sensitivity of 90% and a specificity of 95%, with some misclassifications occurring between goat and beef due to their similar textures. The findings of this study suggest that GLCM is an effective tool for deriving relevant statistical parameters necessary for classification. This research makes a significant contribution to developing a meat identification system that safeguards consumers and promotes awareness of food safety issues. The results are anticipated to provide a solid foundation for advancing meat type recognition and practical applications in the marketplace, ultimately boosting public trust in the meat products they purchase.
