Abstract

The objective of this research was find optimum composision of polymer blend of High Styrene Rubber (HSR) and Natural Rubber (SIR 3L) for preparation sponge middle sole that save the best fisical properties, strong, flexible, light, stable and thermoplastic properties. The formulation of rubber compound has to be researched as much as 3 formalition MS 1, MS II  and MS III with variation of SIR 3L, HSR and HAF black as follows, MS I 70-30-20 phr ; MS II 80-20-30 PHR and MS III 90-10-40 phr . From the fisical test analysis, optimum formulation to be reached at the compound formualtion  MS III with result of fisical test as follows : Tensile strength : 0.572 kg/mm2 ; Elongation at break : 204% ; Hardness share A : 55,8 : Density 0,728 gr/cm3 : Tear Resistance : 0,296 kg/mm2 and Compression Set 22,042%.  INTISARI  Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menentukan komposisi optimum “Polymer blend” dari  “High Styrene Rubber” (HSR) dengan karet alam SIR. 3L untuk pembuatan “spnge middle sole” yang memberikan  sifat-sifat fisika yang baik, kuat, lentur, ringan, stabil dan bersifat termoplastik. Formulasi kompon karet yang telah diteliti sebanyak 3 formulasi dengan variasi jumlah SIR 3l, HSR dan “HAF black” sebagai berikut :  MSI : 70-30-20 PHR : MS II = 80-20-30 phr dan MS III: 90-10-40 phr. Dari analisa uji fisika diperoleh hasil bahwa formulasi optimum dicapai pada MS III  dengan hasil uji sebagai berikut. Tegangan putus = 0,572 kg/mm2; perpanjangan putus ; 204% ; Kekerasan Share A = 5,8 ; Bobot jenis = 0,728 gr/cm2, Ketahanan Sobek = 0,296 kg/mm dan Pampat  tetap 22,042%.

Abstract

Zeolities are natural rock found in a large – scale in Indonesia and it can be used as rubber and plastic filler. In this research, mordenite zeolite was used as a rubber compound filler at 50 – 100 phr (per hunddreed rubber) variation and with High Abrasion Furnace (HAF) black and minarex oil combination by 10/6 and 20/8 ratio. The aim of the research was to study the influence of zeolite in rubber compound, concerning to physical properties of the vulanicase. The effect of zeolit addition on rubber compound was a decrease in the tension break 13.85-15.33%, the elongation break 9.5-12 %, the tear resistance 9.1-23.1 % and the abrasion resistance 15.75-23.95% of the volcanicase, while the hardness was increase 10 %. Decreasing of such physical properties can be prevent by mixing it with HAF black and minarex oil combination. The best result was reached at application of zeolite 50 phr with HAF black and minarex oil combination.                           . Key words : Zeolit, rubber, filter.

Abstract

The objective of the research was to study the effect of the used reclaim rubber from scrab rubber roll as a rubber substitution at rubber compounding for shoe sole production. The reclaime rubber was made by mixing between 100 part scrab rubber roll, 30 part reclaiming oil and 2 part reclaiming agent. The mixture was aged to swelling process for 24 hours and devulcanization was conducted at 1500C for 1.5 hours. Properties of the reclaim rubber were identified such as tension at break 46.55 kg/cm2, elongation at break 136.22%, hardness Shore A 52.8, acetone extract 30.4% and polymer contain 36.41%. The rubber compound was made by using special natural rubber of RSS I (Ribbed Smoke Sheet I) mixed with reclaim rubber at ratio of 100/0, 90/10, 80/20, 70/30, 60/40 and 50/50 phr (part hundred rubber) respectively and was also added additives. The mixing was conducted by using mixing mill at 400-600C for 50 minutes. The compound was concluded that the composition between new rubber RSS I and reclaim at the ratio 70/30 has obtained the most favorable physical properties, with respected testing result of tention at break 85.5 kg/cm2, elongation at break 195.3%, hardness 72.2 shore A, tear resistance 42 kg/cm2, permanent set at 50% elongation 0.27%, density 1.39 g/cm3, Grazelli abration resistance 4.05 mm3/kgm and flexing resistance at 150 kcs did not break. However, the physical properties of the compound was able to meet the SNI 12-0778-1989 class C except the abration resistance.  Keyword : reclaim, rubber roll, compound rubber, shoes sole   ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari pengaruh penggunaan karet riklim yang berasal dari skrap roll karet sebagai substitusi karet mentah pada pembuatan kompon karet untuk sol sepatu. Karet riklim dibuat dari skrap rubber roll 100 bb (bagian berat) dicampur dengan reclaiming oil 30 bb dan reclaiming agent 2 bb dalam mixing mill, campuran tersebut didiamkan selama 24 jam untuk proses penggembungan (swelling) kemudian didevulkanisasi pada suhu 1500C selama 1,5 jam. Karet riklim yang dihasilkan mempunyai sifat tegangan putus 46,55 kg/cm2, perpanjangan putus 136,22%, kekerasan 52,8 Shore A dan kandungan ekstrak aseton 30,4% serta kandungan polimer sebesar 36,41%. Kompon karet sol sepatu dibuat dari campuran karet alam Ribbed Smoke Sheets I (RSS I) dan karet riklim pada perbandingan berturut-turut 100/0 per hundred rubber (phr), 90/10 phr, 80/20 phr, 70/30 phr, 60/40 phr, 50/50 phr dengan bahan aditip pada jumlah tertentu. Pencampuran dilakukan dengan mixing mill kapasitas 2 kg, suhu 40-600C dan waktu 50 menit. Kompon yang diperoleh diuji sifat fisika vulkanisatnya dan hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa pada komposisi RSSI/riklim 70/30 phr merupakan komposisi terbaik dengan hasil uji fisika tegangan putus 85,5 kg/cm2, perpanjangan putus 195,3%, kekerasan 72,2 shore A, ketahanan sobek 42 kg/cm2, perpanjangan tetap (50%) 0,27 %, berat jenis 1,39 g/cm3, ketahanan kikis Grasselli 4,05 mm3/kg. m dan ketahanan retak lentur 150 kcs. Sifat-sifat fisis kompon dapat memenuhi syarat SNI 12-0778-1989 : Sol karet cetak untuk klas C kecuali sifat ketahanan kikisnya. Kata Kunci : karet riklim, rubber roll, kompon karet, sol sepatu.

Abstract

Determination of curing condition at cemented process for canvas shoes vulcanization system is an important factor for producing optimal cemented strength value. Short curing gives low cemented strength value since latex or rubber compound is imperfect vulcanized. Long curing also gives low cemented strength value since a part of latex or rubber compound has got degradation. The research is carried out to obtain optimal curing time in order to obtain the highest cemented strength value. The glue applied is latex with operation condition steam vulcanization : chamber temperature 90 - 100oC, steam pressure 2,0 – 2,5 kg/cm2 variation time 30,40 and 50 minutes. Vulcanization product is tested for its cemented strength with the higest result 18,224 N/6 mm for 40 minutes curing time. The result fulfills specification SII. 1407 - 85 "Sepatu Kanvas Untuk Umum".
