Abstract

Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan November 2012 sampai Februari 2013 di Hutan Mangrove Teluk Kendari. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis karakteristik morfometrik kerang kalandue. Penentuan stasiun penelitian dibagi menjadi 3 stasiun berdasarkan kondisi hutan mangrove. Pengambilan sampel kerang dilakukan secara acak (simple random sampling) yang dilakukan saat surut terendah dengan cara manual dengan frekuensi pengambilan 1 kali sebanyak 75 individu setiap bulannya. Parameter yang diukur yaitu fisika dan kimia (suhu, salinitas, pH substrat dan bahan organik). Hasil parameter fisika kimia diperoleh, suhu (28-32 oC), salinitas (21.3-35 °∕00), pH sustrat (6-7), bahan organik (2.74-9.03 %). Hubungan lebar cangkang dan bobot total berada pada kisaran b < 3 (3.22-3.08) dan nilai koefisien deterministik 81.2 %. Faktor kondisi (Kn) tertinggi pada stasiun 3 pada ukuran 4.05-4.35 cm dengan nilai 1.27, sedangkan terendah memiliki faktor kondisi (Kn) 1,03 pada ukuran 3.39-3.72 cm  pada stasiun I. Faktor kondisi tertinggi pada bulan November sebesar 1.35 pada ukuran 3-3.28 cm dan terendah 0.63 pada bulan Februari ukuran 7.69-8.25 cm. Bobot basah tertinggi pada stasiun 3 dengan persentase 27.69 % pada ukuran bobot 48.69-99.81 g dan lebar 6.78-7.3 cm; persentase bobot kering 50.17 % pada ukuran bobot 20.18 g dan lebar 3.28-3.58 cm.  Berdasarkan periode bulan, persentase bobot basah tertinggi terjadi di bulan Februari dengan nilai 42.86 % pada bobot 48.34 g dan lebar cangkang 7.69-8.25 cm; bobot kering tertinggi pada bulan November dengan nilai 28.47 % pada bobot 7.19-20.18 g dan lebar cangkang 3-3.28 cm. Abstract

This community service program was conducted in Lamunre Tengah Village, Belopa Utara District, Luwu Regency, to address the low productivity of chili (Capsicum annuum L.) caused by pest infestations, excessive reliance on chemical fertilizers, and farmers’ limited knowledge of eco-friendly agricultural technologies. The program aimed to enhance farmers’ knowledge, skills, and independence in sustainable agriculture practices through training on liquid organic fertilizer formulation, natural biopesticide production, and simple precision irrigation systems using soil moisture sensors. The methods included field observation, interactive counseling, hands-on demonstrations, and learning evaluation through pre-tests and post-tests administered to 15 participants. The results showed significant improvement across three main dimensions: understanding of eco-friendly technology increased from 33% to 47%, sustainable cultivation practices rose from 20% to 67%, and adoption of smart farming applications improved from 40% to 47%, with an overall average increase of 34%. In addition, participants demonstrated positive behavioral changes toward environmentally responsible innovation. These findings confirm that a participatory, learning-by-doing approach effectively strengthens farmers’ capacity and self-reliance while fostering the transformation of the local agricultural system toward efficiency, climate adaptability, and sustainability in support of national food security.
