Abstract

Abstract: Coaching of teachers is one form of business to enhance the professional competence of teachers in achieving quality learning period on SMP Negeri 2 Sigli. This study aims to determine teacher training in: (1) the process of preparing the learning program are: curriculum, syllabus, lesson plans, annual program, the semester program, and details of the effective week. (2) fostering the implementation of learning, namely: the initial activity to open the lesson, explaining the materials, instructional media, learning methods, learning resources, and KKM. (3) fostering enhancement of professional competence of teachers are: supervision, refresher courses, seminars, and MGMP. The method used in this research is descriptive method with qualitative approach, this research sites in SMP Negeri 2 Sigli. Data collection techniques in the study carried out directly by the researcher through interviews, observation, and study documentation. The subject of this research is the principal, vice principal areas of the curriculum, and teacher SMP Negeri 2 Sigli. The results obtained are: (1) principals in the process of preparing teachers to foster learning programs such as the RPP, the annual program, the semester program, and details of the effective week. (2) fostering the principal teachers in the implementation of the learning done by describing the materials, instructional media, learning methods, learning resources. (3) school head teachers to foster improvement of professional competence by way of supervision, Panataran, seminars and enable MGMP as well as providing facilities and infrastructure.Key words: development of professional competence ofteachers

Abstract

Hasil pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial pada materi pengetahuan peta masih perlu ditingkatkan. Indikasinya, pada saat diadakan tes pemahaman, dari 35orang siswa hanya 13 siswa yang memperoleh nilai di atas KKM. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penguasaan siswa akan materi tersebut cukup rendah. Terkait dengan hal ini, beberapa masalah yang ditemukan dalam pembelajaran adalah: (a) Sebagian besar siswa kurang memperhatikan pembelajaran; (b) Siswa merasa cepat bosan dan sering bercakap-cakap dengan teman sebangkunya; (c) Sebagian siswa tidak memahami pertanyaan yang diajukan oleh guru. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan kemampuan siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS pada topik pembelajaran menggambar peta. Fokus penelitian adalah perbaikan pembelajaran dengan menerapkan menggambar peta lingkungan setempat

Abstract

This community service program was conducted in Lamunre Tengah Village, Belopa Utara District, Luwu Regency, to address the low productivity of chili (Capsicum annuum L.) caused by pest infestations, excessive reliance on chemical fertilizers, and farmers’ limited knowledge of eco-friendly agricultural technologies. The program aimed to enhance farmers’ knowledge, skills, and independence in sustainable agriculture practices through training on liquid organic fertilizer formulation, natural biopesticide production, and simple precision irrigation systems using soil moisture sensors. The methods included field observation, interactive counseling, hands-on demonstrations, and learning evaluation through pre-tests and post-tests administered to 15 participants. The results showed significant improvement across three main dimensions: understanding of eco-friendly technology increased from 33% to 47%, sustainable cultivation practices rose from 20% to 67%, and adoption of smart farming applications improved from 40% to 47%, with an overall average increase of 34%. In addition, participants demonstrated positive behavioral changes toward environmentally responsible innovation. These findings confirm that a participatory, learning-by-doing approach effectively strengthens farmers’ capacity and self-reliance while fostering the transformation of the local agricultural system toward efficiency, climate adaptability, and sustainability in support of national food security.
