Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui sifat fisika Rotan Tohiti (Calamus inops Becc.).  Rotan Tohiti yang diamati berasal dari Mata Wolasi Kecamatan Wolasi.  Sifat fisika rotan yang diamati terdiri dari kadar air dan berat jenis. Penelitian ini menggunakan menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap dan di uji lanjut dengan BNJ.  Jumlah contoh uji yang digunakan untuk pengujian sifat fisika rotan dengan contoh uji yang telah ditetapkan yaitu 3 pohon x 3 bagian (P, T, U) x 3 (Ulangan) = 27 contoh uji. Pengujian sifat fisika rotan dilaksanakan mengikuti Japan Industrial Standart JIS Z 2101 dengan ukuran 2 cm x 2 cm x 2 cm.  Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Rotan Tohiti (Calamus inops Becc.) mengandung kadar air basah rata-rata 38 %, kadar air kering udara rata-rata  11 %, berat jenis basah rata-rata 0.5, berat jenis kering udara rata-rata 0.6, dan berat kering tanur rata-rata 0.7. Kata Kunci : Rotan Tohiti, Sifat Fisika, kadar air, berat jenis.  ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study was to determine the physical properties Tohiti Rattan (Calamus inops Becc.).  Rattan Tohiti observed coming from the District Desa Mata Wolasi Kecamatan Wolasi.  Rattan observed physical properties consist of water content and density. This research was conducted using analytical models using RAL followed by a further test HSD if significant., each treatment was repeated 3 times. Amount of test sample used for testing the physical properties of rattan with a predetermined test sample tree is 3 x 3 (P, T, U)  x 3 (Dt) = 27 sample. Tests carried out according to the physical properties of rattan Japan Industrial Standard JIS Z 2101 with a size of 2 cm x 2 cm x 2 cm.  The results showed that Rattan Tohiti (Calamus inops Becc.) contain a moisture content of wet average of 38 %, the water content of air dry average of 11 %, by weight wet type average 0.5, dry density of water on average 0.6 and weight the average dry kiln 0.7. Key Word : Rattan Tohiti, hysical properties, moisture content, specific gravity.
