Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of cultural promotion carried out by Cek Bagus and Cek Ayu Palembang in promoting Palembang culture. Focusing on the promotional activities during the 2025 JKPI (Indonesian Heritage City Network) event in Yogyakarta, this study employed descriptive qualitative techniques. All data were collected through direct participant observation and visual analysis documentation during the event. This study employed Stuart Hall's theory of cultural representation to understand the gradual formation of cultural meaning. The results show that the cultural promotion carried out by Cek Bagus and Cek Ayu Palembang during the event included Palembang creative dance, Palembang Bahasa singing, Palembang Kuntau martial arts, traditional costume parades, and several other cultural promotional activities. This study focuses on the constructionist perspective, where cultural meaning is formed through symbols and narratives of objects produced, thus generating new meanings without eliminating old ones. It also focuses on a reflective approach that views cultural meaning as authentic or distinctive to the culture that already exists.

Abstract

The Indonesian government's 2025 budget efficiency policy has sparked controversy among the public, particularly regarding its impact on public sectors such as education and development. These differing views are also reflected in online media reports, which tend to have different perspectives and angles. This study focuses on how online media constructs the reality of budget efficiency policies and the differences in framing used by detik.com and tempo.co in reporting on this issue. This study aims to determine the framing of the Indonesian government's budget efficiency policies by detik.com and tempo.co and to compare how the two media outlets frame these policies. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with Zhongdang Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki's framing analysis model, which includes syntactic, script, thematic, and rhetorical structures. The research data consists of budget efficiency news articles published in February 2025 in both media outlets. The results of the study show that detik.com tends to frame the budget efficiency policy positively by positioning the government as a decisive and pro-people reform actor, while tempo.co presents a critical framing by highlighting policy inconsistencies, social impacts, and the potential for a fiscal governance crisis. This study confirms that differences in framing are influenced by the agenda setting of each media outlet, resulting in different constructions of reality in interpreting the government's budget efficiency policy.

Abstract

Film ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bentuk pesan dakwah dalam film “Laut Tengah” dengan menggunakan pendekatan semiotika Roland Barthes. Film ini sebagai media komunikasi massa yang memiliki kekuatan visual dan simbolik yang mampu menyampaikan nilai-nilai keagamaan secara persuasif dan menyentuh emosi penonton. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui Observasi dan dokumentasi terhadap adegan, dialog, scene, serta simbol-simbol yang terdapat dalam film. Analisis dilakukan melalui tiga tahapan makna menurut Roland Barthes, yaitu denotasi, konotasi, dan mitos, untuk mengungkap makna tersirat dari pesan dakwah yang disampaikan. Dengan data yang dikumpulkan kemudian di analisis menggunakan analisis pendukung yaitu komunikasi islam Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa film Laut Tengah mengandung pesan dakwah yang mencakup aspek Aqidah, Syariah, dan Akhlak. Pesan aqidah tergambar melalui sikap tawakal dan keimanan kepada takdir Allah SWT. Pesan syariah tercermin dalam praktik ibadah dan kepatuhan terhadap aturan Islam, sedangkan pesan akhlak terlihat melalui nilai kesabaran, keikhlasan, pengorbanan, dan keteguhan hati dalam menghadapi ujian kehidupan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa film Laut Tengah tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai hiburan, tetapi juga sebagai media dakwah yang efektif dalam menyampaikan nilai-nilai Islam secara kontekstual di era modern.
