Abstract

The impact of media, Determination Agenda (Agenda Setting) and Theory of The Spiral Of Silence is a three-part study of the theory of Mass Communication. Theories about the impact of the mass media is divided into four stages: All-powerful media, Theory of powerful media put to the test, Powerful media rediscovered, and Negotiated media influence. Determination of the Agenda (Agenda Setting) is a process of media influence either expected or unexpected in which the relative importance of the events reported, or character issues that affect memory in the minds of the public and the relative importance in news reporting. Assuming that the media attention in revealing a topic that is associated with the news audience. Indirect influence of the media on opinion but only on what is thought by societies. The Spiral Of Silence Theory states that individuals have the sense organs similar to the statistics used to determine the opinions and modes of behavior which are approved or not approved by their environment, as well as "opinions and forms of behavior which are gaining or losing strength. The media can be influential in the spiral of silence in three ways: (1) the mass media form an impression of the dominant opinion; (2) the mass media form an impression of the opinions which are on the rise; and (3) the mass media form an impression about which opinion may be delivered in public without being marginalized.

Abstract

Journalism is an activity related to gather, write, edit and present the news through print media or electronic media while development is understood as a process of change for the better through the efforts made in general terencana. Goal of development is the furthest projection of expectations  and human ideas, the components of which is the best possible, or ideal society that can best special. Objectives  is the development of short-term goals, usually chosen as the level of achievement of the objectives of a certain program. Jurnalisme development is emerging journalistic style or Third World countries that promotes the role of the press in the context of national development. Development journalism is often exploited or used by the leaders of developing countries to achieve the goals and interests of its political development. Jurnalisme or "journalism of development" is journalism that aims to provide an understanding of the development of society. Development journalism convince society of the future, so that they can participate in the development.

This article aimed to describe communication campaign in social field include planning, process, and evalution. Communication campaign is a coodinated use of different methods of communication aimed at focusing attention on particular problem and its solution over a period of time. Public communication campaign as purposive attempt to inform, persuade, or motivate behavior changes in a relatively well-defined and large audience, generally for noncommercial benefits to the individual and/or society, typically within a given time period, by means of organized communication activities involving mass media and often complemented by interpersonal support.

Abstract

Development journalism and community empowerment have become interesting things lately especially the existence of an urban farming program which is believed to be able to empower the urban poor. The media supports the urban farming program as a community empowerment program. This study aims to look at the application of development journalism in community empowerment. The results of the study show that development journalism has been implemented in the city of Palembang with the coverage of local government programs by various media in South Sumatra, one of which is the Urban Farming program, which is a regional government program in Palembang in collaboration with Bank Indonesia. Furthermore, the role of development journalism in community empowerment in the city of Palembang can be seen with enthusiasm by the community in utilizing vacant land to carry out urban farming which is a regional government program in collaboration with Bank Indonesia to be a program that can help the community economy where the mass media in Palembang are active preach this program so that people are interested in participating in this program both directly and indirectly. The pattern of adoption of urban farming innovations and utilization of idle land in the city of Palembang is divided into innovators, early adopters, and early majorities.

Abstract

This thesis is entitled "KAI DIVRE III Public Relations Strategy in Facing Negative Issues" The development of technology has progressed greatly. Technology has penetrated into various fields, ranging from information, communication to transportation, one of which is Indonesian Railways. Every company including PT KAI (Persero) is required to continuously prepare itself to anticipate and adapt to the changes that occur. in an agency or company Public Relations is certainly very necessary and is one of the very important parts. With the right interaction with the public, the company can produce good public perception with the reputation and image of a company being positive in the eyes of the public. Recently, an accident occurred at a railroad crossing in Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatra. The incident involved an Avanza-type car and a Babaranjang train. The news quickly spread in the community, so that the news will certainly cause unpleasant issues, and will certainly cause different perceptions in the eyes of the community. From some comments on the post, many people have different views and misinterpretations and the author feels, such as one example that the author found in the comments column of the video uploaded by TribunJatim Official on YouTube. The formulation of the problem in this study is how the KAI DIVRE III Public Relations strategy in dealing with negative issues that develop in society. This research uses a qualitative approach Qualitative methods are used to obtain in-depth data, data that contains meaning. The data collection technique is documentation in the form of news related to research and in-depth interviews. The theory used in this research is the 4 principle models of Public Relations Strategy put forward by (M. Cutlip & Allen H. Center) 1. Fact Finding (Fact Finding), 2. Planning (Planning), 3. Action & Communication (Action and Communication), 4. Evaluating (Evaluation). From the results of the research, KAI DIVRE III Public Relations in dealing with negative issues uses the 4 Cutlip & Center principle models and each model has its own strategy and in each strategy it is running well.

Abstract

This Korean drama titled "Argon" is a Korean drama that tells the story of a journalist and reporter named Kim Baek Jin, the leader of an investigative program called Argon. He just wants himself and the Argon team to report the truth. The focus of the research is how the Argon team in episodes 6 and 7 resolved the Sumyoung Food company case. The problems to be studied are how the implementation of the nine elements of journalism contained in episodes 6 and 7 with John Fiske's semiotic analysis and how the professionalism of journalists in the Korean drama Argon episodes 6 and 7 through the level of reality, the level of representation and the level of ideology. The type of this research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques were carried out by documentation, namely collecting scenes in Korean drama Argon episodes 6 and 7 and literature study, which was obtained by obtaining data through journals, theses, books, and articles. The results of this study are Korean drama Argon episodes 6 and 7 showing the implementation of the nine elements of journalism using John Fiske's semiotic analysis with three levels of coding.

Abstract

In the midst of the onslaught of the digital era, radio still exists today. The use of radio as a medium for conveying informations and as a place for preserving Indonesian cultures are decreasing due to the rapid development of technology and the swift currents of globalization. This is a challenge for radio broadcasters in determining the strategy used to maintain the existence of the radio. With the strategy of the announcer of Radio Sonora 102.6 FM Palembang in attracting listeners's interest in the You Ask We Play (AMKM) program, the researcher used qualitative methods through documentation, observation and interview approaches. From the results of the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the strategy used by the announcers of Radio Sonora 102.6 FM Palembang in attracting listeners's interest is to become a broadcaster who can use language that is easy to understand, polite, friendly, and most importantly make listeners as friends so that listeners feel comfortable and they can attract the interest of other listeners. In addition, the rapid development of technology has given rise to new, more sophisticated media, which became the main inhibiting factor in maintaining the existence of radio.

Abstract

The rapid development of information and communication technology supports the need for public information servis through the media. Various types of media appear as intermediaries that can make it easier for humans to convey their communication activities through the use of the internet, one of which is through Instagram. The rise of Instgram which is more used as a medium to interect with others makes it a new phenomenon as a medium of communication. The research focus in this study is How is the effectiveness of using Instagram social media in shaping the image of the Palembang Beatbox Family. This study aims to find out how effective the use of social media Instagram in shaping the image of Palembang Beatbox Family. The research method used is qualitative while the type of research is descriptive and while the data collection methods used are observation, interview, and documentation methods. From the results of reseacrches’ research, it can be concluded that the Palembang Beatbox Family community uses sosial media instagram as a means of introducing what the beatbox community in Palembang is to the general public and the use of instagram as a promotional medium is quite effective in increasing it’s image and popularity on Instagram account @palembangbeatboxfam itself seen from various kinds of pots activities and event carried out. This can be seen from the many interesting uploads presented, with the use of social media Instagram as a means of promotion.

Abstract

Penelitian ini tentang Analisis RSP Production sebagai media konten marketing pada masa covid - 19 di Instagram. Instagram digunakan menjadi strategi pemasaran untuk mendistribusikan, mendesain dan membuat konten yang menarik dengan tujuan untuk menarik target pasar atau memotivasi mereka untuk menjadi pelanggan atau konsumen suatu perusahaan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana analisis RSP Production sebagai media konten marketing agar dapat bertahan pada masa covid – 19 di Instagram. Dengan metodologi penelitian kualitatis dimana data yang didapat lebih menekankan kata – kata dan gambar, sehingga tidak menekankan statistic. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Obrolan langsung dengan pemilik dan staff dari RSP Production yang menjadi sumber data. Hasil penelitian Instagram RSP Production ini menjadi media untuk memasarkan jasanya melalui konten marketing yang telah dirancang kemudian di kemas dengan sebaik mungkin agar dapat bertahan pada masa covid – 19 dan untuk menarik para konsumen maupun audiens melalui konten marketing di Instagram dalam bentuk foto maupun video.
