Abstract

This research was a classroom action research which was conducted intwo cycles, each cycle consists of planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The data used was quantitative data on student observation sheet instruments. The Results of the study which were obtained from the first cycle showed about the students’ thinking skills and scientific works. They were categorized as excellent 18.18%, good 22.73%, enough 52.27%, and sufficiently less 6.82%. As for the scientific attitude with a very active category of 11.36%, 43.18% and less active 45.45%. It has not reached indicators of success, so it was necessary to cycle II. Cycle II demonstrated the excellent category 38.63%, 36.36% good, good enough18.18% and less 6.81%. While the scientific attitude in the cycle II was an active attitude 29.54%, active 54.54%, inactive 15.91%. These results show an increase from the cycle I to cycle II. The conclusion of this study were: 1) learning the basic concepts of science with scientific inquiry in students can be conducible applied.2) Learning the basic concepts of science with scientific inquiry can improve thinking ability and scientific work and students’ scientific attitude. 3) Learning the basic concepts of science with scientific inquiry be able to explore and develop student creativity in designing simple experiments which can be applied in primary schools.

Abstract

The aim of research to determine the type of stomata in the leaves of plants Xerophyte euphorbia (Euphorbia splendens), mesofit plant Hibiscus (Hibiscus rosasinensis), as well as hidrofit kale plant (Ipomoea aquatica). The research methods is descriptive qualitative to describe and interpret the type of stomata on the leaves. Type of stomata on the leaves of Xerophyte is anomositik. Mesofit plant hibiscus (Hibiscus rosasinensis) has a parasitic type of stomata. Hidrofit plant (Ipomoea aquatica) is anisositik, that is cells surrounded cover three neighboring cells that are not as great.

Abstract

This research aims to determine whether there is influence of quantum learning model with the audio visual media to science learning outcomes student class V SDN Ngrukem Mlarak District of  Ponorogo in academic year 2015/2016. Due to very low yields Science learning and teachers teaching with conventional methods. This study uses a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research sample of 15 students and research instruments in the form of a multiple choice test. Datawere analyzed by using t-test. The result showed there are significant quantum learning model with audio visual media to science learning outcomes student class V SDN Ngrukem Mlarak District of Ponorogo in academic year 2015/2016.

Abstract

The role of insects (arthropods) in human life can affect the yield and quality of agricultural products. Insect pests are insects that regularly or occasionally cause damage that can reduce the yield or quality of agricultural products. The purpose of this study was to determine the preference of arthropods on wild plants, to compare the percentage of interest and time orientation of arthropods on wild plants. This research is a qualitative descriptive that tries to reveal and explain about the preferences or interests arthro in Poda against wild plants (weeds) Cambodgien Wonosari Tea Garden Area, Singosari Malang. The difference in the percentage interest in insects against wild plants affected by volatile compounds secreted by wild plants. Overall plant contain volatile compounds produced by the leaves, flowers or fruit of the wild plants cause differences insect attraction. Insects itself able to select and respond to volatile compounds from plants that are in nature can be visited.

Abstract

Sungai merupakan suatu ekosistem air tawar ditandai dengan aliran yang diakibatkan karena adanya arus. Arus adalah aliran air yang terjadi karena adanya perubahan vertikal per satuan panjang. Sungai juga ditandai dengan adanya anak sungai yang menampung dan menyimpan serta mengalirkan air hujan ke laut melalui sungai utama. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah Untuk mengetahui kualitas air Sungai Brantas di Kota Malang ditinjau secara kimia (BOD dan COD) dan fisika (Suhu dan pH), Untuk mengetahui kualitas air Sungai Brantas di Kota Malang dengan menggunakan Tubifex sp sebagai bioindikator, Untuk mengetahui kesesuaian antara indikator pencemaran kimia-fisika yang digunakan dengan Tubifex sp sebagai bioindikator. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian deskriptif eksploratif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Pengambilan Tubifex sp dilakuakn pada stasiun pengamatan yang terdapat pada beberapa lokasi. Pengamatan dilakukan terhadap Tubifex sp dan beberapa faktor kimia-fisika yang mempengaruhinya di Sungai Brantas. Organisme yang hidup di dalamnya dapat berupa benthos, nekton maupun plankton. Sungai alami dibentuk oleh aliran air tanah, sungai terus mengalami perubahan karena masukan bahan-bahan dari daerah sekitarnya, akibat erosi dan dekomposisi tanah. Perubahan fisika kimia air akan diikuti oleh perubahan komposisi fauna.

Abstract

The object of this study were 1) to determine the effect of deductive - Inductive Science Thinking Model on student achievement, 2) to determine the effect of creativity on learning achievement , 3) to determine the interaction between deductive-Inductive Science Thinking Model with the creativity of the learning achievement .This study used an experimental method . The population is students of Biology in semester VI IKIP PGRI Madiun academic year 2012/2013. Sampling using cluster random sampling technique that consists of two classes, one class for learning deductive - Inductive Thinking Model Science and other class on non deductive-Inductive Thinking Science Model. Hypotheses were analyzed using 2-way ANOVA with a 2x2 factorial design .The results of this study after testing the hypothesis at 95% confidence level is 1) no effect on the use of models of learning achievement , 2) there is the influence of creativity on learning achievement, 3) there is an interaction between the model of learning and creativity on learning achievement.
