Abstract

Quoting BNPT’s statement, there are at least 19 Islamic boarding school in Indonesia indicated to support the activities of radicalism and terrorism. Initially, the statement was based on several analytical factors, namely, the historical linkages of the post-conflict pesantren establishment, as well as the association of the founding figures with some organizations that allegedly taught the radical flow. Starting from this statement, it is urgent to do research on one of the radically categorized pesantren, namely Pesantren Darul Wahyain Magetan. The reason for the selection of this pesantren according to information that the authors get from various sources, there are no signs or real evidence on the ground indicating that the Pesantren is based radically. The existence of Pondok Pesantren Darul Wahyain in Magetan does not meet the criteria to be called a radical pesantren, as formulated by the experts, namely textual, unilateral truth claims, a priori with western, anti-secular and extreme. In relation to the curriculum it can be explained that in general, the curriculum applied in Pesantren Darul Wahyain is not all that directs his santri into radicalist or terrorist.

Abstract

In the interpretation of the verses of the Qur’an, gender has undergone considerable  and dynamic developments. The classical commentators tend to interpret verses textually – normatively, while feminists tend to interpret the verses contextually – sociologically. Along with the developments in the methods or approaches to the contemporary interpretation of the Qur’an, one of the methods or approaches used by feminists is hermeneutics. Through this method or approach, Amina Wadud tries to interpret verses related to the creation of women, women’s leadership, and the problems of polygamy. The result is that the origin of human beings, both males and females, came from a single nafs which is part of the system pairs (nafs itself and its zawj). The leadership clause should be understood in the context of society as a whole through the concept of “functionalist”. On polygamy, there is no direct evidence from the Koran about the permissibility of polygamous marriage, especially in regard to the three validations often cited by proponents, namely financial reasons, reasons of infertility, and the reason the fulfillment of lust or sexual needs.

Abstract

Abstract This study discusses quality standards and international accreditation, with the aim of knowing how the conformity of quality standards with international accreditation exceeds SN DIKTI. SPMI implementation at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta uses the PPEPP cycle. The standard improvement cycle is carried out if the standard has been reached or the realization exceeds the standard. Standard improvement carried out by UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta in 2020 by adding main performance indicators/IKU and additional performance indicators/IKT with reference to international accreditation agency standards, namely FIBAA, AUN-QA, AIQA, ABET, ASIIN and ASIIC, as well as SNPT, SPM-PT, BAN-PT which refers to 9 criteria and ISO 9001:2015. This research is a qualitative research using in-depth interview techniques, observation and documentation to find out the suitability of Quality Standards with International Accreditation for exceedance of SN DIKTI. Respondents in this study were quality standard controllers at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. Qualitative data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman Interactive Model which includes data reduction, data display, and drawing and verifying. The results of the study show that there are statements in the Quality Standards that are in accordance with International Accreditation for exceeding SN DIKTI. The implementation of SPMI at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta has surpassed SN-DIKTI and brought international competitiveness in effective quantity and quality to develop a culture of quality, shown in the existing IKT. For example, the IKT Quality Standards of UIN Sunan Kalijaga show international competitiveness, namely UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta has curriculum development guidelines that contain graduate profiles, learning outcomes that refer to KKNI, study materials, curriculum structure and RPS that refer to SN-DIKTI and benchmarks on international institutions, current regulations, and sensitivity to current issues, where in the IKT statement, CP refers to FIBAA, ASIIN, AUN-QA, AIQA and IABEE certification/accreditation criteria.

Abstract

The Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach has been proven effective in helping individuals overcome various psychological issues. In the context of Islamic counseling, integrating CBT with Islamic values offers a holistic solution that addresses both psychological and spiritual aspects of clients. This approach employs cognitive restructuring and behavioral modification techniques combined with Islamic principles such as muhasabah (self-reflection), tawakkal (trust in God), and worship practices. This study demonstrates that the application of Islam-based CBT enhances counseling effectiveness, particularly for Muslim clients, as it aligns with their cultural and religious beliefs. However, the success of this approach relies on counselors proficient in both aspects. With the development of a more structured Islamic CBT counseling model and increased public awareness, this approach holds significant potential for broader implementation.

Abstract

This study aims to describe scientific integration-interconnection in Islamic Guidance and Counseling (BKI) from an epistemological perspective. The method used is a literature study, which involves analyzing literature such as books, journals, and relevant research to build a theoretical foundation. The results of the study show: (1) Epistemology discusses the nature of knowledge and the relationship between truth and belief, (2) Integration-interconnection combines various fields of science, including religion and science, to produce a holistic approach, (3) The integration of science and religion, especially in the Islamic context, is important to understand human life holistically. Islamic values, such as those contained in Q.S. Al-Ahqaf (26) verse 15, can be combined with Islamic Guidance and Counseling approaches, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and modern psychology, to effectively deal with complex problems.  In conclusion, the integration-interconnection approach in BKI provides a strong theoretical basis and practical solutions to understand and overcome problems as a whole. This study shows that this concept supports a holistic approach that combines Islamic values and modern psychology, helping to achieve life balance and individual well-being.

Abstract

Islamic art therapy menjadi suatu hal yang penting untuk dilakukan sebagai upaya untuk melatih kemampuan regulasi emosi negatif pada anak-anak di UPT Wiloso Projo Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) yang dilakukan di UPT Rumah Pengasuhan Anak (RPA) Wiloso Projo Yogyakarta. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan anak dalam meningkatkan kemampuan regulasi emosi melalui Islamic art therapy. Program ini menawarkan pendekatan inovatif dengan mengintegrasikan nilai keislaman dalam pelaksanaan art therapy. Metode pengabdian masyarakat yang digunakan yakni observasi, identifikasi masalah, perumusan masalah, treatment (kegiatan) dan output. Temuan penting hasil pengabdian ini menunjukan bahwa kelima anak telah memiliki kemampuan regulasi emosi yang tinggi. Hasil ini dapat dibandingkan dengan hasil tes sebelum pelaksanaan intervensi yang menunjukkan masih ada dua anak yang berada di kategori sedang. Berdasarkan hasil uji paired samples test yang digunakan untuk melihat pengaruh intervensi Islamic art therapy menunjukkan bahwa intervensi yang dilakukan berpengaruh terhadap regulasi emosi anak. Kesimpulannya yakni pelaksanaan intervensi Islamic art therapy berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan regulasi emosi anak, sehingga anak-anak dapat memahami dan mengekspresikan emosi yang dirasakan melalui seni lukis dan mampu meregulasikan emosi melalui seni lukis.

Abstract

The concept of the spider web in the Islamic Guidance and Counseling approach as a framework for understanding the mutually supportive relationship between various dimensions of an individual's life, such as psychological, social, and spiritual. This concept emphasizes that every element of human life is interconnected, and changes in one aspect can affect other aspects. In the context of BKI, counselors are expected to view clients holistically, by considering the interrelationships between the various factors that shape their condition. This article also links the application of this concept to Islamic principles, as reflected in Surah Al-Mu'minun verse 29, which emphasizes the importance of balance and mutual support in life. With this approach, Islamic Guidance and Counseling is expected to create a safe and supportive environment, which ultimately encourages the recovery and mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being of clients.

Abstract

Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) is a personality disorder characterised by a sense of grandiosity, an excessive need for recognition, and a lack of empathy. This disorder is often influenced by various factors, such as genetics, upbringing, and cultural and social influences, which have a detrimental impact on an individual's social relationships, career, and mental health. This article discusses muhasabah, a method of self-introspection in Islam, as an approach to reducing narcissistic tendencies in individuals with NPD. With muhasabah, individuals can be more aware of their shortcomings, increase empathy, and improve spiritual and social relationships. This approach, when combined with psychological therapies such as CBT and DBT, provides a holistic solution for treating NPD. Consistent application can encourage positive changes in an individual's mindset, behaviour and emotional well-being.

Abstract

This study explores how the philosophy of scientific logic serves as the foundational basis for integration‑interconnection within Islamic Guidance and Counseling (IGC). By examining its epistemological and logical framework, the research reveals a holistic paradigm that harmonizes normative‑spiritual Islamic values with the rational‑empirical principles of modern counseling. Using a qualitative library research approach, key reference books, national and international journals, and relevant academic literature on the philosophy of science, logic, and IGC were purposively selected. The literature was identified, reviewed in depth, and analyzed through Creswell’s stages of qualitative analysis: deep reading for initial insight; coding of significant information units; thematic grouping of codes; and interpretation of themes to uncover the role of scientific logic in shaping an integrative and interconnected counseling paradigm. Findings demonstrate that framing IGC through the lens of scientific logic restructures the relationship between contemporary counseling methods and Islamic values. Addressing ontological, epistemological, and axiological dimensions ensures consistency, validity, and coherence, enabling counseling to engage clients’ psychological, spiritual, and cultural dimensions fully. Integration‑interconnection thus transcends technical combination, reconstructing IGC’s epistemological foundation to be holistic, transformative, and context-sensitive. The philosophy of scientific logic emerges as a strategic catalyst for developing a coherent and sustainable IGC framework.
