Abstract

The congestion at the PLN intersection Kaliurang street Km 8 is the reason of Unofficial Officers or so-called "Pak Ogah" act as traffic regulators or assist in the movement of driving from minor roads to major roads. Therefore, the objective of the study was to determine the impact of Unofficial Officers on the performance of intersections. The survey was conducted for 3 days which were volume survey, a survey of vehicle speed, driving behavior, and length of the queue. VISSIM modeling analysis results showed that using signals was better than existing conditions with a decrease in the average delay value of 18.44% and a decrease in the average queue length of 80.34%. Meanwhile, the condition of intersections with unofficial officers decreased by an average delay of 22.10% compared to existing conditions. However, the average queued length by unofficial officers increased by 22.54% compared to existing conditions. Although the results of delays with Unofficial Officers were better than other conditions, arrangements by unofficial officers had many conflicts, creating the risk of accidents at the intersection.

Abstract

Transportation is an activity or process to moving people or goods from one place to another. Nowadays, with the modern of transportation makes human activity will be more dynamic. Magelang – Yogyakarta street km 22 – km 22,6 is a national road that connect Yogyakarta province with Central Java. The location is a combination of two curves in different opposite direction. The purpose of the research was to evaluate the geometric condition compared from Bina Marga standard. The research method was using direct measurement of actual geometric condition, include horizontal and vertical curve, lane and roadside width using theodolith measuring instrument. Further analysis done by Bina Marga standard. The result that did not met the standard need to be repair geometrically. Analysis result showed that some lane and roadside width section did not met standard of radius by Minister Regulation of Public Works No. 19. Furthermore, all of vertical horizontal did not met standard of minimal length required by National Standardizations Agency. Thus, it needed to repair the horizontal curve by combining previous two curves of B and C based on standard requirement from National Standardizations Agency, that is 120 meter for speed plan 70 km/hours.

Abstract

One-way traffic management can be used as a solution in handling traffic problems in order to improve traffic performance. One location with traffic problems is Jetis area which has several roads with trade and commerce activities in the city of Yogyakarta. Therefore, traffic congestion and side barriers disrupt the flow of traffic on the road in Jetis Area. The purpose of this study was to estimate the performance of roads in Jetis Area if one-way traffic management is applied hence the impact. The data were obtained from the Yogyakarta Transportation Agency 2014 then analyzed and modeled with VISSIM software. As the results, before the one-way management implementation, the road with the highest v/c ratio occurred at Jalan Magelang (0.85) and the worst speed of vehicle occurred at Jalan Mangkubumi Selatan as much as 10.43 km/hour. However, with the implementation of one-way traffic management from South to North, V/C ratio increased 8% on Jalan Magelang and Mangkubumi, though 2 other segments decreased 8%. In addition, vehicle speed increased 9% in almost all roads except Jalan Wolter Mangunsidi decreased 2%.

Abstract

AbstrakJalan Parangtritis Km 15 merupakan salah satu lokasi rawan kecelakaan yang memiliki tikungan tajam. Tingkat kecelakaan lalu lintas di Jalan Parangtritis Km 15 Kabupaten Bantul pada tahun 2013 "“ Mei 2016 terdapat 351,8 kecelakaan. Tingkat kecelakaan yang terjadi pada tahun 2103 sebesar 51,5, tahun 2014 sebesar 137,3, dan tahun 2015 sebesar 111,5 sedangkan tahun 2016 sebanyak 51,5, dimana tingkat kecelakaan tertinggi terjadi pada tahun 2014. Untuk itu diperlukan analisis untuk mengetahui kondisi geometri sesuai pedoman Geometri Jalan Antar Kota Tahun 1997. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan yaitu pengukuran langsung kondisi geometri sebenarnya, mencakup lengkung horisontal dan vertikal, lebar lajur, dan lebar bahu. Pengukuran trase jalan menggunakan alat ukur theodolith dan data lalu lintas harian tahun 2016 dari Bina Marga. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat kondisi yang sudah sesuai dengan yang belum sesuai Bina Marga 1997. Kondisi yang sudah sesuai yaitu volume lalu lintas harian rata-rata, jenis jalan kolektor kelas III, lebar jalur, lebar bahu jalan yang memenuhi syarat. Sedangkan kondisi yang belum memenuhi syarat yaitu pada jarak pandang henti, jarak pandang mendahului, ruang bebas samping dan kecepatan kendaraan.Abstract Parangtritis Road Km 15 was one of the prone locations to accidents (black spot) that have sharp curve. The level of traffic accidents on Jalan Parangtritis Km 15 Bantul in 2013 - May 2016 were 351.8 accidents. The accident rate occurring in 2103 was 51.5, 2014 was 137.3, and 2015 was 111.5, while the year 2016 was 51.5, where the highest accident rate was occurred in 2014 so that it needs analysis to determine the condition of geometry within the guidelines of intercity geometric 1997. The research method was using direct measurement of actual geometric condition method, include horizontal and vertical curve, lane and roadside width. Road alignment measurements was using a theodolith measuring instrument and daily traffic in 2016 wasv from Bina Marga. The results of the analysis was indicate that some criterias already meet the requirement of Bina Marga were daily traffic volume average, the type of the road and the road width unfortunately, some criterias found with less qualification were road shoulder width, stop visibility, precedence visibility, side free space and vehicle speed.
