Abstract

Pemahaman tentang keanekaragaman, dan asosiasi di dalamnya khususnya ikan karang sangat penting dalam rangka pengelolaannya secara berkelanjutan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengkaji struktur komunitas dan kemiripan berdasarkan kelimpahan famili ikan karang dengan bentuk lifeform. Pengambilan data lifeform menggunakan metode Point Intercept Transect, dan pengambilan data ikan karang menggunakan metode Underwater Visual Census. Analisis Korespondensi digunakan untuk menggambarkan kemiripan kelimpahan famili ikan karang dan lifeform karang dengan bentuk profil terumbu. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa total ikan karang yang dijumpai untuk ikan indikator dan ikan target sejumlah 3.666 ekor yang terdiri dari 130 spesies dari 26 famili, kelimpahan individu ikan target tertinggi secara berturut-turut Tanjung Tanah Merah, Tanjung Harlem, Pulau Kwahkeboh, Tanjung Sarebo, Amayepa, Tanjung Amay dan Tanjung Kuburan Tablasufa. Keanekaragaman (H’) relatif tinggi, yakni berkisar 2,66-3,63, Indeks Keseragaman (E) cukup tinggi yakni berkisar 0,55-0,76 (→1), dan Indeks Dominansi (D) rendah yakni berkisar 0,03-0,08 (→0). Kelimpahan famili ikan karang dan lifeform memiliki kemiripan pada bentuk profil terumbu.

Abstract

Depapre Bay has large potential fisheries resources and very diverse that are still managed by the Tiaitiki system. Ironically, destructive fishing activities still occur. The coral ecosystems in Depapre Bay are still relatively under-studied mainly related to sustainable management. Condition of coral reef and reef fishes are the base aspect in management approach. The purpose of this research is to analyze coral reef and reef fishes condition of Tiatiki area and outside of Tiaitiki. The method used in this research is Point Intercept Transect (PIT) to identify coral condition, and Underwater Visual Cencus Method (UVC) for reef fishes observation. The results showed that lifeform conditions at 3-5 m of Tiaitiki area were "40,67% was moderate, dominated by Coral Branching, Flassy Micro Alga dan Coral Foliose; and  at 10-13 m of Tiaitiki area were 50,00% was “good”. Lifeform conditions at 3-5 m of non-Tiaitiki area were "48,67% was moderate, dominated by Coral Branching, Coral Massive dan Flassy Micro Alga; and  at 10-13 m of non-Tiaitiki area were 60,67% was “good”, dominated by Coral Branching, Acropora Branching, Acropora Tabulate, Acropora Encrusting dan Coral Foliose. In addition, at the all areas found rubbles is quite high at about 8-16,67%. Abundance of reef fishes in both areas is relatively the same, where in Tiaitiki area that are 372 individual at 3-5 m of depth and 114 individual at 10-13 m of depth, and Non-Tiaitiki area that are 262 individual at 3-5 m and 215 individual at 10-13 m.

Abstract

Nudibranch merupakan avertebrata laut dari filum moluska klas gastropoda subkelas Opisthobranchiata. Nudribanch memiliki banyak manfaaf karena kandungan senyawanya, memiliki keindahan warna yang menarik sebagai objek foto wisata bawah air, dan dapat dimakan serta dapat menjadi salah satu biota indikator kesehatan ekosistem. Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui Kepadatan, Indeks Keanekaragaman, Indeks Keseragaman, dan Indeks Dominansi serta kondisi parameter perairan yang mendukun pertumbuhan dan perkembangan nudibranch di Teluk Humbolt Kota Jayapura. Metode penelitian yang digunakan metode Underwater Visual Census (UVC) pada kedalaman 5 m dan 10 m dengan lebar pengamatan 2,5 ke kanan dan ke kiri sepanjang 100 m. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan sebanyak 14 jenis nudibranchia dengan jumlah total 122 individu, dengan dominan jenis yang dijumpai Phyllidiella pustulosa dan Phyllidia varicosa. Kepadatan nudibranch cukup rendah yakni sekitar 0,022-0,036 individu/m2 , Indeks Kenakeragaman tergolong rendah, yakni sekitar 1,228-1,463, Indeks Keseragaman tergolong populasinya sedikit yakni 0,120-0,260 (mendekati 0), serta Indeks Dominansi cukup stabil yakni 0,270-0,402. Berdasarkan data parameter perairan, didapatkan bahwa perairan dan habitat di Teluk Humbolt berada dalam tekanan yang diindikasikan dengan menurunnya kualitas ekosistem, namun masih dalam kondisi normal yang mendukung pertumbuhan dan perkembangan biota laut khususnya nudibranch.

Abstract

Shrimp are a superior commodity caught in the waters of the Land of a Million Mangroves, Waropen Regency, Papua Province. This research was carried out in February 2023 in the waters of Waropen Regency with the aim of assessing the potential of shrimp species and their management entities. This research uses a survey method in data collection and species identification is carried out by examining basic morphometric characteristics, namely (color and body shape). The results of the research show that there are 3 types of shrimp belonging to the Penaeid family, and 1 type belonging to the Palaemonidae family. The potential of shrimp at the research location is very potential. This is supported by the condition of the habitat and aquatic environment which is still good. Apart from that, utilization is still relatively low, where fishing tools and facilities are still relatively simple. However, to maintain its sustainability it is necessary to manage and utilize it in a measurable manner
