Abstract

According to the initial test result in Year V, SD Negeri 1 Jekulo, Kudus Regency, it is known that the ability of speed reading and comprehension in Year V of the school was low. There were stillseveral students that had a low abilities of reading. There were only 31 students (68.89%) out of 45 students that achieved scores the same or higher than 70. Meanwhile, the number of students who got scores under 70 was 14 (31.11%). It is estimated that the students l ow abilities were due to thelack of variations of learning models of reading so that the motivations of the students to learn were low. A solution is needed to cope with such a condition in order to enhance the ability of reading comprehensions. The sol ution of f ered in this research is co mputer-based learning model as an effortof enhancing the ability of reading comprehensions in the Year V, SD Negeri 1 Jekulo. The problem in this research is that Can the ability of reading comprehensions be improved af terattending reading comprehensions learning through computer-based learning model using learning CDs? based on the research, the purpose of the research is to improve the students reading comprehension skills through computer-based learning model using learning CDs. The type of this research is classroom action research) using a qualitative method in form of recycle consisting of learning cycles. There are two cycles used in this research, such as classical learning management andindividual learning. The result of this research is that the computer-based learning method using learning CDs is able to improve the ability of reading speed and comprehension of the students of Year V, SD Negeri 1 Jekulo, Kudus Regency.Keywords: reading speed, learning model, computer

Abstract

Sejalan dengan budaya untuk kembali ke alam (back to nature) menyebabkan meningkatnya kesadaran masyarakat akan bahaya mengkonsumsi sayuran yang mengandung bahan kimia. Saat ini dilingkungan perkotaan pola hidup sehat yang akrab lingkungan telah menjadi trend baru. Masyarakat di wilayah kelurahan Wonosari, kecamatan Ngaliyan, kota Semarang mencanangkan program adanya warung hidup. Tetapi dalam pelaksanaannya banyak mengalami kendala, seperti keterbatasan lahan, banyak masyarakat yang belum mengetahui tata cara tanam, dan kurangnya kesadaran masyarakat akan pentingnya pola hidup sehat. Solusi yang bisa diterapkan adalah dengan menerapkan warung hidup dengan teknik Wick system. Tujuan dari kegiatanpengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan pelatihan danpendampingan budidaya warung hidup dengan wick system. Kegiatan inidilaksanakan di kelurahan Wonosari, kecamatan Ngaliyan kota Semarang.Berdasarkan hasil pengabdian dihasilkan penerapan warung hidup denganteknik wick system. Abstract

When the students want to write, they need patience, grammar understanding, and reading a lot from many resources to create academic articles. These activities are still rarely done by the students from Universitas Terbuka Semarang. They tend to focus on their teaching preparation, teaching performance, lesson plan, and assessment. They think that writing research articles are difficult to do whereas their chances to gather the data are very broaden. To overcome these problems, the researchers apply Task Based Language Teaching to motivate the teachers in writing research articles and to describe their responses on Task Based Language Teaching application. The participants of this study were 28 elementary teachers who continue their study to bachelor degree at UPBJJ UT Semarang. They were in the eight semester of Pokjar Kaliwungu Kendal. They should write academic article to fulfill the tutorial task of Teknik Penulisan Karya Tulis Ilmiah subject. This research used descriptive quantitative method using students’ responses questionnaire. This research result covered that all the activities in the implementing Task Based Language Teaching were good category for the students’ responses in every phase of TBLT (pre task, main task, and post task). Moreover, the questionnaire items also got positive responses from the students’ understanding about TBLT.  Keywords: Task Based Language Teaching (TBLT), students’ responses

Abstract

Pembelajaran di Universitas Terbuka (UT) menganut Sistem Belajar Jarak Jauh (SBJJ) yang mengedepankan kemandirian dan pembelajaran orang dewasa. Ciri utama sistem SBJJ antara mahasiswa dan dosen tidak bisa berinteraksi fisik secara langsung, yang menjadi jembatan adalah tutor. Melalui kegiatan Tutorial Tatap Muka (TTM) diharapkan dapat membantu mahasiswa dalam memahami materi yang ada. Kualitas tutor dan pelaksanaan TTM menjadi kunci utama dalam keberhasilan mahasiswa dalam belajar. Salah satu kegiatan TTM adalah pada matakuliah Matematika. Pada matakuliah Matematika mahasiswa dituntut dapat menguasai materi dengan pokok bahasan yang banyak dan cukup sulit. Matakuliah Matematika ini mempunyai bobot 4 sks dan tersebar dalam 12 modul. Sehingga diperlukan evaluasi pelaksanan TTM pada matakuliah Matematika untuk meningkatkan kualitas tutor dan TTM. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pelaksanaan TTM pada matakuliah Matematika. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian survei deskriptif, dengan sampel sebanyak 100 orang yang tersebar setiap kabupaten pada UPBJJ UT Semarang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian pelaksanaan TTM pada matakuliah Matematika diperoleh kesimpulan sebagai berikut 1). evaluasi pelaksanaan TTM rata-rata skor yang diperoleh pada tahap awal sebesar 3,48, tahap inti 3,41 dan tahap akhir 3,46. Secara keseluruhan rata-rata skor adalah 3,44, 2). evaluasi pelaksanaan TTM secara keseluruhan dalam kategori sangat baik. Melalui penelitian ini diharapkan untuk pelasanaan TTM pada matakuliah Matematika lebih baik sehingga hasil belajar mahasiswa semakin meningkat.

Abstract

Perlunya pendidikan karakter mendesak untuk dilaksanakan adalah adanya gejala-gejala yang menandakan tergerusnya karakter bangsa, pada era globalisasi. Kebebasan berkehendak free will, tanpa aturan yang baku, iklim kebebasan, tidak jarang diartikan dengan kebebasan bertindak. Tawuran antar pelajar, antar kampung, main hakim sendiri, dan sebagaimana berlangsung di berbagai tempat, sekaligus menjauhkan kehidupan masyarakat yang beradab, berkarakter, dan berakhlak mulia.Tujuan penulisan artikel ini adalah membahas bagaimanakah model implementasi penguatan pendidikan karakter di sekolah.Walaupun upaya mewujudkan peradaban bangsa melalui pendidikan karakter bangsa tidak pernah terlepas dari lingkungan pendidikan baik di dalam keluarga, sekolah dan masyarakat.Namun lembaga pendidikan memegang kunci utama penanaman karakter dan akhlak peserta didik.Hakekat pendidikan karakter dalam konteks pendidikan di Indonesia adalah pendidikan nilai, yakni pendidikan nilai-nilai luhur yang bersumber dari budaya bangsa Indonesia sendiri dalam rangka membina kepribadian generasi muda. Model Implementasi Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter di Sekolah, diantaranya : model otonomi dengan menempatkan pendidikan karakter sebagai mata pelajaran tersendiri, model integrasi dengan menyatukan nilai-nilai dan karakter-karakter yang akan dibentuk dalam setiap mata pelajaran, model ekstrakurikuler melalui sebuah kegiatan tambahan yang berorintasi pembinaan karakter siswa, dan model kolaborasi dengan menggabungkan ketiga model tersebut dalam seluruh kegiatan sekolah. Kesimpulan :Upaya mewujudkan peradaban bangsa melalui pendidikan karakter bangsa tidak pernah terlepas dari lingkungan pendidikan baik di dalam keluarga, sekolah dan masyarakat. Model implementasi penguatan pendidikan karakter: model otonomi, integrasi, ekstrakurikuler, dan kolaborasi. Implementasi penguatan pendidikan karakter, yaitu: keteladanan, pembelajaran di kelas, pengintegrasian dengan semua materi pelajaran, pengintegrasian dalam kegiatan Kokurikuler dan Ekstra kurikuler, pemberdayaan dan pembudayaan, dan penguatan. Guru memiliki tanggung jawab besar dalam menghasilkan generasi yang berkarakter, berbudaya, dan bermoral.Kata Kunci: Implementasi, Penguatan Pendidikan, Pendidikan Karakter

Abstract

The research problem is how the significance level of the influence of computer-based teaching materials on students’learning outcomes in Indonesian subjects in SMA 1 Jekulo. This study used an experimental research with two variables, namely independent variables (computer-based teaching materials) and dependent variable (student learning outcomes). The research design used Control Group Pre-Test-Post-Test. To know the level of significance of the influence of computer-based teaching materials on the students’ learning achievement used t-Test: Paired Two Sample for Means. The result of pretest hypothesis test on homogeneity test obtained Fhitung = 1.10 and Ftable = 1.72 so Fcount less than Ftable. This means that the initial value is homogeneously distributed. Thus, based on the initial scores of students' abilities the experimental and control groups are almost equal. In the pretest significance shown that the experimental group and the control group was not significant with tcount = 1.839 and ttable = 2.028 so that tcal less than or equal 0.01. This means thitung was a = 0.05, and ttable = 2.39 for a ttabel.After held post-test as the end of activity obtained the correlation number was 0.618. If consulted with the table, then the number showed a high relationship. The result of t test was calculated = 12.652, whereas ttable = 2.028 for more than or equal 0.01. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of computer-based teaching materials has a significant effect on students’ learning outcomes.a = 0,05 or a ttabel either real level.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the high number of female Islamic boarding school students (santriwati) in Lasem and the growing presence of cosmetic stores in the area, including Jelita Cosmetic Store located in Karangturi Village, Lasem District, Rembang Regency. These stores aim to meet the cosmetic needs of the santriwati, leading to increased competition and offering consumers more choices. The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of product completeness, price, and service quality on purchasing decisions made by santriwati from Al-Hidayat Al-Ma’shomi Islamic Boarding School who shop at Jelita Cosmetic Store. This research employs an associative quantitative method with a sample of 36 respondents. Data were collected through questionnaires and interviews and analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics 27 for Windows. Analytical techniques include validity and reliability tests, multiple linear regression, classical assumption tests, model feasibility tests, t-tests, and F-tests. Interview findings revealed that price is the primary factor influencing santriwati to purchase cosmetics at Jelita Store, as it offers more affordable prices compared to other stores. However, product variety and service quality were perceived as lacking. The research results show that product completeness, price, and service quality simultaneously influence purchasing decisions. Partially, only price has a positive and significant effect, while product completeness and service quality do not have a significant influence. The implications of these findings highlight that pricing strategy is a key factor in attracting consumers. Nevertheless, improving product variety and service quality is also essential to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
