Abstract

Salah satu upaya peningkatan kualitas guru matematika adalah dengan meningkatkan kemampuan mahasiswa pendidikan matematika. NCTM merumuskan kemampuan pembelajaran matematika yang disebut mathematical power meliputi: (a) communication, (b) reasoning, (c) problem solving, (d) connection, (e) representation.Kenyataannya masih banyak mahasiswa yang belum mempunyai mathematical power yang baik. Salah satu solusi untuk meningkatkan mathematical power adalah penerapan model pembelajaran IDEAL problem solving berbasis PBL. Tujuan penelitian adalah (a) menghasilkan buku ajar yang sesuai dengan model pembelajaran IDEAL problemsolving berbasis PBL; (b) mengetahui seberapa besar  peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah mahasiswa dengan model pembelajaran IDEAL problem solving berbasis PBL. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilaksanakan pada mahasiswa pendidikan matematika UNIMUS. Hasil penelitian (a) dihasilkan buku ajar materi persamaan kudrat, peluang, trigonometri, turunan dan program linier yang baik; (b) implementasi model pembelajaran IDEAL problem solving berbasis PBL dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Berdasarkan penelitian diharapkan dosen dapat menerapkan model pembelajaran IDEAL problem solving berbasis PBL.

Abstract

Kalkulus II atau Kalkulus Integral adalah matakuliah wajib yang harus ditempuh di prodi pendidikan matematika dan akan menjadi prasyarat matakuliah kalkulus lanjut dan matakuliah lainnya. Berdasarkan pengamatan dilapangan, pembelajaran matakuliah kalkulus II masih menggunakan metode ekspositori sehingga menyebabkan keterampilan berproses dalam pembelajaran dan motivasi mahasiswa rendah. Akibatnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah mahasiswa juga rendah, sehingga perlu adanya perbaikan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Salah satu model pembelajaran yang dapat dikembangkan sebagai upaya peningkatan kualitas proses dan hasil pembelajaran Kalkulus II adalah IDEAL problem solving berbasis maple. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui keefektifan implementasi model pembelajaran IDEAL problem solving berbasis maple. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian kuasi eksperimen yang menerapkan model pembelajaran Pembelajaran IDEAL problem solving berbasis maple. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode dokumentasi, angket, tes, dan observasi. Hasil penelitian adalah implementasi model pembelajaran IDEAL problem solving berbasis maple efektif yang ditandai (a) kemampuan pemecahan masalah mahasiswa mencapai kriteria ketuntasan minimal, (b) ada pengaruh keterampilan berproses dan motivasi terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang signifikan (c) kemampuan pemecahan masalah mahasiswa setelah penerapan pembelajaran IDEAL problem solving berbasis maple lebih baik dari kelas sebelum perlakuan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dosen hendaknya dapat menerapkan model pembelajaran IDEAL problem solving berbasis maple sebagai alternatif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berproses, motivasi dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Kata Kunci: IDEAL problem solving, Kalkulus II

Abstract

Pembelajaran matematika dasar masih dilakukan secara tradisional menggunakan metode ekspositori.namun ketikamahasiswa diminta untuk mempresentasikan hasil kerjanya, mahasiswa merasa kesulitan dalam menyatakan ulang konsep yang telah diajarkan karena sifat materi anti turunan yang sangat abstrak. Hal tersebut mengindikasikan rendahnya kemampuan pemahaman konsep mahasiswa. Perlu adanya pengembangan lembar kerja mahasiswa dengan pendekatan konstruktivisme yang diharapkan dapat membantu meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep mahasiswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui validitas lembar kerja mahasiswa dengan pendekatankonstruktivisme berbasis pendidikan karakter materi anti turunan.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan metode penelitian Research and Development (R&D) dengan prosedur pengembangan dari Borg & Gall. Teknik pengambilan data menggunakan teknik wawancara. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa lembar kerja mahasiswa dengan pendekatankonstruktivisme berbasis pendidikan karaktermateri anti turunan valid dengan nilai rata-rata 3,8. Lembar kerja mahasiswa dengan pendekatan konstruktivisme materi anti turunan ini dapat diujicobakan di program studi non matematika yang memiliki mata kuliah matematika dasar.

Abstract

The curriculum and technology development hand in hand very rapidly, so it takes a concept and mechanism of ICT-based teaching and learning. The transformation process of conventional education into digital form, both in its content and its system. The progress of this technology should be utilized by the students as a provision in the classroom learning. Students are required to innovate and apply ICT in learning. Based on these things required a design and supplement learning materials so students can carry out in accordance with the demands. The one of innovation form is android-based learning media on n statistical education subject. The stages of this android system using pretest, practice working on the matter, as well as a posttest. In addition, the whole tutorial material such as SAT, RAT, concept maps and materials could be obtained by students through media-based android. The purpose of this research is to 1). know the process of developing android-based learning media is valid, 2). know the response of the students towards the implementation of the android-based learning media. The subject of this research was students of UT-UPBJJ Semarang pokjar Kendal. The development of the design and supplement learning materials used the 4-D model of Thiagarajan, Semmel Semmel and IE (define, design, develop, and disseminate). The method of data collection used interviews, observation, and question form. Based on the stages of the learning media development can be concluded 1). the android-based learning media development on educational statistics subject. The validity got 4.22 and included within the category of very valid. 2).The students ‘responses on the media-based learning android on education statistics subject had good responses. The students’ responses categories were very good 3.40.

Abstract

Curriculum 2013 applied in SMA Institute of Indonesia Semarang demands that students learn independently, but in fact students used to be guided by teachers while studying, so students independence is weak. Student interest is still weak too, so it,s driving the low achievement of students of class X. The purpose of this study is to know whether the model of edutainment learning with SAVIK approach effectivel. This research is an experimental research, with population of all class X. The variables in this study consist of learning achievement, interest and independence. Methods of collecting data in the form of interviews,documentation, tests, questionnaires, and observations. The results showed that students achieve mastery with an average value of 79.54 and classical completeness of 82.14%. In addition, the influence test showed the influence of interest and independence of 68.9%. The result of average difference test shows that is experimental class is 79,54, and control class is 71,40. The result of improvement test in the experimental class is the increase of interest and independence, the increase is included in the medium level. The conclusion from this research is edutainment learning model with SAVIK approach to increasing interest and independence on the material of Trigonometry of class X is effective. Abstract

Metode numerik merupakan salah satu metode yang mempunyai peran sangat strategis dalam matematika. Masalah yang sulit atau bahkan tidak mungkin diselesaikan secara analitis dapat diselesaikan dengan metode numerik. Berdasarkan observasi awal peneliti disimpulkan bahwa 1) mahasiswa cenderung menghafal dan bukan memahami metode numerik, 2) pembelajaran masih bersifat konvensional, 3) mahasiswa belum mengetahui secara mendalam aplikasi metode numerik dalam kehidupan, 4) pembelajaran belum memanfaatkan aplikasi teknologi. Hal ini menyebabkan mahasiswa pasif dan motivasi belajar juga turun yang mengakibatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah masih rendah. Solusi untuk mengatasi permasalahan pada matakuliah Metode Numerik adalah dengan penerapan model pembelajaran IDEAL Problem Solving berbasis Maple. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh implementasi model pembelajaran IDEAL Problem Solving berbasis Maple pada matakuliah Metode Numerik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh keaktifan dan motivasi terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang signifikan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dosen hendaknya dapat menerapkan model pembelajaran IDEAL problem solving berbasis maple untuk meningkatkan keaktifan, motivasi dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Abstract

Lecturers are required to be able to analyze errors in working on the problem along with the causative factors. Through an analysis of errors in doing some exercises, it can be used as a basis in conducting the process of delivering material in the next learning. Through implementing true and mature concepts, students will not face difficulties in applying the material learned. Based on the observations, there are still many students who getdifficulties in doing the exercises of Education Statistics course. Besides, students of Universitas Terbuka in Kaliwungu 2017.2 are lack of learning outcomes in education statistics courses, 2). many students, but do notapply it in learning , 3). Many students do not pass the Education Statistics course. Based on these problems, it is necessary to conduct research related to the analysis of student’s errors and the causal factors in solving the Satistika Education problem. The purpose of this study is to find out the errors and causal factors in solving the questions in the Educational Statistics material. The subject of this research is UT students Semarang 2018.1 in Pokjar in Boja Subdistrict, Kendal Regency. The type of this research is descriptive qualitative research. Based on the analysis of student’s errors in the Education Statistics subject, conclusions are obtained 1). There are 4 student errors, namely: a). conceptual error, b). procedural error, c). Computation / calculation errors, and d).Errors in drawing conclusions; 2). The most mistakes of the students happened on procedural errors; 3). Abstract

The low level of creativity development is caused by learning in class that is trained by knowledge, memory, logical thinking ability. Learning is expected to solve these problems is through by PjBL (Project Based Learning). Especially in the Mathematics Education Workshop which requires students to have creativity in making educational props. The problem in this research is Does learning using PjBL (Project Based Learning) can improve students' creative thinking in Mathematics Education Workshop? The purpose of this research is to know the improvement of students' creative thinking ability through learning using PjBL (Project Based Learning) in Mathematics Education Workshop. This research uses quantitative descriptive method with questionnaire data collection and observation. Based on the results of research and data analysis conducted by researchers, showed the influence of  application of PjBL (Project Based Learning) to the creative thinking ability is 48%. The conclusion of this research is application of PjBL (Project Based Laerning) have an effect on student creative thinking ability. Suggestions is this research can expected to continue so can be developed on other factors that can improve students' creativity thinking ability. Abstract

The problem in this research was students’ having difficulties in understandingstatistic data questions which served both in sentences and pictures format, which then caused them to having difficulties in reaching the correct conclusionfor said questions. Aside from that, students’ motivation and discipline inteaching learning process are relatively low. One way that could be used tosolve these problems were to apply Think Pair Share teaching learning modelwith contextual approach. This research aimed for understanding theeffectiveness of Think Pair Share teaching learning model with contextualapproach toward students’ mathematical communication skills on grade VIIstatistics material. This research was an experiment research, with every gradeVII students of SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Semarang academic year 2016/2017 asthe population.The samples in this reasearch were class VII F as experimentalclass, class VII C as control class, and class VII D as test class. The result ofthis research showed that the class in which Think Pair Share teaching learningmodel with contextual approach applied reach 93,33% classical passing mark;the influence of students’ motivations and disciplines toward their mathematicalcommunication skills were 77,5%; and the difference of mathematicalcommunication skills between experimental class and control class was 83,40 to55,54. According to those results, we can conclude that applying Think PairShare teaching learning model with contextual approach to improve students’mathematical communication skills in grade VII statistics material is effective.This teaching learning model can be used in other materials to improvestudents’ mathematical communication skills.
