Abstract

Abstract. Problem-Based English Learning Tools for Vocational Secondary School (SMK) Students. This research aims at producing lesson plans and student worksheets for  Economy cluster of Grade XI SMK. This study employed research and development method applying the Thiagarajan Four-D model. The results of data analysis showed that one way to improve students’ communication and critical thinking skills is using problem-based English learning tools. The factors that influence the inability to communicate in English is lack of opportunity given to the students to use English maximally in the classroom. Using problem-based learning tools, the ability to interact in English students and teachers increased. Abstrak. Perangkat Pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris Berbasis Masalah  bagi Siswa SMK. Penelitin ini bertujuan menghasilkan RPP SMK Kelas XI Rumpun Ekonomi dan Lembar Kerja Siswa. Metode yang digunakan untuk mencapai tujuan penelitian ini adalah Research and Development (R&D) model Four-D Thiagarajan. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa salah satu cara meningkatkan keterampilan  komunikasi dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa adalah menggunakan perangkat pembelajaran berbahasa Inggris berbasis masalah (PBL). Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi ketidakmampuan untuk berkomunikasi dalam bahasa Inggris adalah memberikan peluang siswa untuk menggunakan bahasa Inggris secara maksimal di dalam kelas. Dengan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis masalah, kemampuan berinteraksi dalam bahasa Inggris siswa dan guru meningkat.   Kata kunci: pembelajaran berbasis masalah, berpikir kritis, bahasa Inggris SMK

Abstract

Abstract. Inter-Students Social Harmony through Bilingual Program Implementation of Math Course. This study aims at developing (1) student textbook, (2) student worksheets, and (3) instructional plans written in English and taught bilingually. The long term goal is the establishment of cooperation and social harmonization among the students. This employs research and development (R & D) method. The results of the data analysis show (1) the way to build social harmony among the students while helping them understand mathematics is bilingual-based instruction, (2) the factors affecting the implementation of the bilingual program is native language, social interaction under the local/ethnicity viscosity, and basic math skills of students as background knowledge to understanding of the instruction.   Abstrak. Harmoni Sosial Antarmahasiswa Melalui Implementasi Bilingual Program dalam Perkuliahan Matematika. Penelitian ini berfokus untuk menghasilkan (1) buku ajar mahasiswa, (2) lembar kerja mahasiswa, dan (3) rencana pelaksanaan perkuliahan yang ditulis dalam bahasa Inggris dan diajarkan dengan bilingual. Tujuan jangka panjang adalah terjalinnya hubungan kerja sama dan harmonisasi sosial antarmahasiswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D). Hasil analisis data menunjukkan (1) cara membangun harmoni sosial antarmahasiswa sekaligus membantu pemahaman matematika adalah perangkat pembelajaran berbasis Bilingual Program, (2) faktor yang memengaruhi implementasi Bilingual Program adalah bahasa ibu, interaksi sosial dengan nilai kekentalan daerah/etnis, dan kemampuan dasar matematika mahasiswa yang menjadi bekal awal dalam memahami perangkat pembelajaran.   Kata kunci: harmoni sosial, pembelajaran matematika, program bilingual

Abstract

This research is qualitative research with the lecturer as the subject and the students in the class taught by the lecturer. Interview forms and observation forms were used as instruments. Interview sheets were given to lecturer and students to determine the perception, implementation and impact of using ICT on students' oral skills. Checklist observation sheet for determining the use of ICT in oral learning and oral skills of students, based on the results of observations of the activities of students during learning by as many people as possible and completed by researchers as observers. Based on the results of data analysis, the results showed that lecturers used two learning media, namely the ICT media used for teaching by lecturers were WhatsApp and Zoom Meeting, the implementation of online learning on the WhatsApp application was implemented poorly, while the implementation of online learning on the Zoom Meeting application is implemented well, the perception of lecturers when teaching using the Whatsapp application shows a low perception, while the perception of lecturers who teach using Zoom Meeting shows a high perception, the speaking performance of students who learn using the Whatsapp application is quite good, meanwhile, students who learn to use the Zoom Meeting application are good.
