Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan dan membandingkan dua jenis penelitian utama, yaitu penelitian eksperimental dan non-eksperimental. Fokus penelitian melibatkan analisis dua desain penelitian khusus, yaitu desain kausal komparatif dan desain korelasional. Metode yang digunakan yaitu studi literatur dan analisis dokumen untuk mendapatkan teori-teori atau tulisan-tulisan yang berkaitan dengannya. Adapun hasil dari tulisan ini: 1) Penelitian eksperimental adalah pendekatan yang melibatkan manipulasi variabel independen untuk mengukur dampaknya terhadap variabel dependen. 2)Penelitian non-eksperimental, khususnya desain korelasional, melibatkan analisis hubungan antara variabel tanpa adanya manipulasi variabel. Desain ini memungkinkan identifikasi korelasi dan asosiasi antara variabel-variabel yang diamati. 3) Design klausal komparatif adalah salah satu pendekatan penelitian yang memiliki fokus pada perbandingan antara dua atau lebih kelompok, kondisi, atau variabel independen untuk mengidentifikasi perbedaan atau kesamaan di antara mereka. Dalam penelitian klausal komparatif, peneliti berusaha untuk memahami dampak variabel independen terhadap variabel dependen, tetapi tujuannya lebih pada perbandingan daripada kausalitas. 4) Penelitian korelasional sangat berguna untuk mengidentifikasi hubungan dan tren dalam data, tetapi tidak memberikan bukti sebab-akibat. Hasil dari penelitian korelasional dapat mengarah pada hipotesis kausal, tetapi diperlukan desain eksperimen lebih lanjut untuk menguji hubungan tersebut dengan lebih rinci.

Abstract

Contamination by heavy metals, especially lead (Pb) and cadmium (Cd), presents considerable environmental and public health hazards. This study examined the efficacy of a composite adsorbent composed of eggshell powder (ESP) and Palm Oil Fuel Ash (POFA) in eliminating Pb and Cd from polluted river water. BET analysis indicated that the ESP-POFA composite demonstrated enhanced surface area and pore volume post-activation, achieving a peak surface area of 38.79 m²/g at a 1:0.75 ESP:POFA ratio. The peak adsorption efficiency for Pb was 87.16%, achieved at a 1:0.25 ESP: POFA ratio after 180 minutes of agitation, whereas Cd adsorption peaked at 94.17% at a 1:0.75 ratio with the same agitation time. The adsorption capacity fluctuated according to the ESP: POFA ratio, with Pb attaining 0.00038 mg/g at the 1:0.25 ratio and Cd achieving 0.00099 mg/g at the 1:0.75 ratio. The findings demonstrate that the ESP-POFA composite is a sustainable and economical solution for water treatment and is exceptionally proficient in removing cadmium from river water. These findings endorse the composite's potential for extensive water treatment applications; nevertheless, additional modification is necessary to enhance Pb adsorption capability.

Abstract

The low quality of Qur’anic recitation among students remains a persistent challenge despite increasing memorization achievement. This study addresses the question: to what extent is the Maisura method effective in improving the tahsin tartil skills of students at Rumah Tahfidz Ibadurrahman, Jambi? Employing a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design, data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of the tahsin program. The findings reveal a significant improvement across four key indicators: makhraj (52% to 80%), tajwid (48% to 76%), tempo (60% to 82%), and tartil (55% to 78%). The implementation of Maisura through talaqqi musyafahah, repetitive drills, and the use of murottal audio proved effective in producing more accurate and rhythmic recitation. Despite challenges such as a high teacher–student ratio and limited digital facilities, this study highlights Maisura as a strategic method for strengthening Qur’anic recitation quality. Beyond its empirical contribution, the research enriches the academic discourse on Qur’anic pedagogy while offering practical recommendations for the management of modern tahfidz institutions in Indonesia.
