Abstract

This study aims to determine the expenditure of household consumption of female workers in Jambi City which is influenced by several factors. This research was conducted using a sampling technique that is purposive sampling. The data used in this study were obtained from a questionnaire about household consumption of female workers in Jambi city. The data method analysis used multiple linear regression analysis to determine the effect of wife's income, husband's income, education and the number of family dependents on household consumption of female workers in the city of Jambi. Based on the normality test, the multicollinearity test, and the heteroscedasticity test there were no deviations from the classical assumptions. The results of the research showed that simultaneously the wife's income, husband's income, education and the number of family dependents significantly influence the household consumption of female workers. The partial results showed that the variable of wife's income, husband's income and the number of family dependents have a significant effect, while education has no significant effect on household consumption expenditure of female workers in Jambi City. R-square value of 91.75%, showed that household consumption can be explained by research variables of 91.75%.

Abstract

Tourism is the fastest growing foreign exchange earning subsector and the increase is almost happening in all regions, Merangin regency has a great potential in tourism. The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristics of visitors or tourists, identify factors that affect the interest of tourists to visit again, and how important is the participation of the community around the tourism object. The data used in this study are primary data obtained from questionnaires and direct interviews with a sample of 35 people. The sampling method used is convenient random sampling. The data analysis tool used is quantitative with multiple liner analysis used Eviews 9 software. Merangin garden tourist characteristics in Merangin district are known that the average age of the visitors is 39. The sex of visitors or tourists is male, education is high school / equivalent, the number of dependents of visitors is 4 people where visitors live are Merangin and surrounding communities. The distance between visitors to the Merangin Garden attraction is 30 km on average.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Number of Hotels, Number of Rooms, Room Occupancy Rates, Minimum Wages on employment opportunities in Hotels in Jambi Province. This study uses an Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) multiple regression analysis model.Based on the results of the regression analysis, it is known that the variable number of hotels and minimum wages has a significant effect on the level of employment in Jambi Province, while the variable number of rooms and occupancy rates have no significant effect on the employment of industrial labor in the hotel sub-sector in Jambi Province. Abstract

This research aim to: First, analyze the development of labor force participation rate, minimum wages, consumer price index and gross regional domestic product in Jambi Province. This study use time series data between 2000-2017 with data analysis method used namely quantitative descriptive analysis and Ordinary Least Square (OLS) method. Based on the result of data processing using the OLS method in multiple regression equations in 2000-2017 results were obtained. That the average development of the labor force participation rate, minimum wage, consumer price index and gross regional domestic product fluctuative from year to year. Based on processing data obtained results: (1) Consumer price index variable have a positive and not significant effect on labor force participation rate in Jambi Province; (2) The variable minimum wages and gross regional domestic product have a positive and significant effect on minimum wages in Jambi Province. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of capital, working hours, education, social and economy simultaneously on increasing income Trade Sector UKM in Sungai Penuh City and to know the social and economic development of UKM Trade sector in Sungai Penuh City. This research is a research with a quantitative approach with a population of 157 SMEs. The sampling technique used is proportionate stratified random sampling in order to obtain a total sample of 113 samples. The data collection technique used a questionnaire. Classical assumptions use normality test, multicollinearity test and heteroscedasticity test. The data analysis technique to answer the hypothesis uses multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The results of the assumptions are. Social development affects the income of trading SMEs in Sungai Penuh City. variable working hours, capital, education, and labor have a significant effect on the income of trading SMEs in Sungai Penuh City partially. The four variables, namely working hours, education capital, and labor have an effect on the income of trading SMEs in Sungai Penuh City.

Abstract

The research objectives are (1) to know the development and contribution of the manufacturing industry GDP (2) to know the development of investment, labor, and processing industry business units; and (3) knowing the effect of investment, labor and business units on processing industry GDP. The data used in this study are secondary data from the Jambi provincial Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS). To answer these goals, this study uses a type of quantitative descriptive research with an analysis model for the first and second problem using the contribution and development model, while the model for the third problem is multiple linear regression. The results of the study show that (1) the average development of the processing industry GDP in Jambi Province in 2000-2016 was 4.86 percent and its contribution was 12.07 percent; (2) the average investment development is 3.42 percent, the average workforce is 4.74 percent, the average business unit is 2.29 percent; and (3) simultaneously and partially investment, labor and business units significantly influence the GDP of the processing industry in Jambi province. Abstract

The purpose of this study was (1) to analyze consumer characteristics of Jambi batik cloth based on the amount of demand for Jambi batik cloth in Mayang Mangurai Village, Alam Barajo District, Jambi City (2) to analyze the effect of Jambi batik cloth prices, consumer income, and prices of substitute goods on cloth demand. Jambi batik in Mayang Mangurai Village, Alam Barajo District, Jambi City. The method used in this study is a survey method using primary data obtained from questionnaires and direct interviews. The data analysis method used was descriptive and quantitative analysis methods with multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the study indicate that (1) the average age of consumers of Jambi batik cloth in Mayang Mangurai Village is 42 years, the last education average of Jambi batik cloth consumers is S1, the average job of Jambi batik cloth consumers is as a civil servant, the average consumer of Jambi batik cloth has a family of 4 people, and the average income earned by consumers of Jambi batik cloth is Rp.4.240.000 on average per month in a year; and (2) simultaneously and partially independent variables, the price of Jambi batik cloth, consumer income and the price of substitute goods have a significant effect on the demand for Jambi batik cloth in Mayang Mangurai Village, Alam Barajo District, Jambi City. Abstract

This research aims to find out and analyze the socio-economic characteristics of pulse kiosks and data packages and to find out and analyze the effect of capital. Product prices sold several credits, and sales volume on pulse and data package traders in Tungkal Ilir District, Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency.  The data used in this study is primary data. The analytical tool used is multiple linear regression. The results showed that the variables of capital, the price of products sold, the number of credit balances, and the volume of sales of data packages had a significant effect on the income variable of pulse traders and data packages. In contrast, partially, the variables of working capital and sales volume of data packages had a considerable effect. In comparison, the price of products sold and the number of credit balances do not significantly affect the income variable of pulse traders and package data in Tungkal Ilir District, Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the socio-economic characteristics of traders around the tourist attraction of the pedestrian bridge, to determine the potential and strategies of tourism development, and to determine differences in income from the informal sector. The data used in this study is primary data consisting of interview data. The method used for this research is a field research method with observation techniques and conducting interviews, and distributing questionnaires. The results showed that the variables of age, amount of savings, number of dependents, transportation expenses, and number of tourist visits had a significant effect. However, partially the number of dependents and the number of tourist visits significantly affect the income of informal sector workers around the Pedestrian Bridge Tourism Object in the Gentala Arasy Tower Tourism Object, Jambi City.  Keywords: Income, Informal sector workers, Tourist attraction

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the determinant of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) on carrying out a credit loan. Primary data has been used in the analysis. The population in this study were all MSMEs in Jambi Province. Samples were taken by purposive random sampling. Total sample are 276 consisting of 163 MSMEs actors who took credit and 113 MSMEs actors who did not take credits. To analyze the factors that influence the taking of credits, a binary logit model is used. The dependent variable is the taking of credits, while the independent variables are household characteristics and individual characteristics of MSMEs actors. The results showed that the factors significantly affected the MSMEs on taking credit were the side job variables, working hours, working partners, gender, education, long established business, household expenses and account ownership.
