Abstract

This study aims to: 1) Know and analyze the development of economic growth, minimum wages, number of workers and poverty levels in Jambi City; and 2) To find out and analyze the influence of economic growth, minimum wages and the number of workers and poverty levels in Jambi City. The analytical tool used in this study is multiple linear regression.The results of this study are that economic growth in Jambi City experienced fluctuations during 2000-2017. The minimum wage in the city of Jambi has increased annually during 2000-2017. Labor in Jambi City experienced fluctuations during 2000-2017. The poverty rate in Jambi City experienced annual fluctuations during 2000-2017. From the results of the processed multiple linear regression that the variable economic growth, minimum wage, labor simultaneously have a significant effect on the level of poverty, it can be seen from the significant value of 0.002 which is smaller than 0.05. While partially the independent variables that influence the poverty level are minimum wages and labor, it can be seen from the significant values ​​smaller than 0.05. Keywords: Economic Growth, Minimum Wage, Number of Labor, and Poverty Levels.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze: 1) the development of domestic investment, foreign investment, and the economic growth rate of Jambi Province; 2) the influence of domestic investment and foreign investment on the economic growth of Jambi Province. The data used are secondary data from Jambi Province for the period of 2000 - 2015. Data is sourced from the Central Bureau of Statistics of Jambi Province. Data were analyzed descriptively and used multiple linear regression methods. The results of the study found that (1) the average growth of domestic investment in Jambi Province was 11.67 percent per year and foreign investment was 64.32 percent per year. During the analysis period, the average economic growth was 5.45 percent per year; (2) simultaneously and partially, domestic investment and foreign investment have a significant effect on economic growth in the economic growth of Jambi Province.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze: 1) the characteristics of cinnamon syrup entrepreneurs; 2) factors affecting the production of cinnamon syrup and 3) the prospect of developing the cinnamon syrup industry in Kerinci Regency. The data used are primary data based on surveys of cinnamon syrup entrepreneurs. Data were analyzed descriptively, multiple regression analysis and SWOT analysis. The results of the study found: 1) The age of cinnamon syrup entrepreneurs is generally in the productive age. The education level of cinnamon syrup entrepreneurs is relatively good. More than half (60.00 percent) have high school education and above. The average income of cinnamon syrup entrepreneurs in Kerinci Regency is Rp. 22,833,333 per year; 2) The factors that significantly influence the production of cinnamon syrup in Kerinci Regency are raw materials and capital, while the workforce and the frequency of coaching do not have a significant effect; 3) Based on the SWOT analysis, the cinnamon syrup industry in Kerinci Regency has good prospects to develop

Abstract

The study aims to analyze the influence of the quality of human resources, employment opportunities and economic growth on the number of poor people in Sarolangun District. The data used in this study are secondary data, from 2002 to 2012. Data is sourced from the Central Bureau of Statistics of Jambi Province, the Sarolangun Regency Central Bureau of Statistics and the Regional Planning and Development Agency of Sarolangun Regency. The analysis tool used is a multiple linear regression method. The results showed that simultaneously the quality of human resources, employment opportunities, and economic growth had a significant effect on the number of poor people in Sarolangun District. Partially. employment and economic growth have a significant effect while the quality of human resources has no significant effect on the number of poor people

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pertumbuhan ekonomi, pertumbuhan penduduk, dan tingkat pendidikan terhadap pengangguran terbuka di Provinsi Jambi. Data yang digunakan adalah data Provinsi Jambi periode 2000 – 2016. Data bersumber dari BPS Provinsi Jambi. Alat analisis yang digunakan adalah regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa pertumbuhan penduduk dan tingkat pendidikan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pengangguran terbuka di Provinsi Jambi. Sebaliknya pertumbuhan ekonomi tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap pengangguran terbuka di Provinsi Jambi
