Abstract

This research is motivated by the influence of high technology on education; hence educators need to choose the right technology device to use and compare student learning interests with and without the support of computer and android multimedia.  It was quasi-experiment research with posttest only and non-equivalent control group designs.  The subjects of this research were the eleventh-grade students of Natural Science. There were 2 sample classes—the eleventh-grade students of Natural Science 3 (experiment I) taught using computer multimedia, and the students of Natural Science 1 (experiment II) taught using android multimedia. Interview with teachers, preliminary data test that was homogeneity test, final data test, learning interest questionnaire, interview, observation, and documentation were used to collect the data. The analysis result showed that the learning interest percentage of experiment I was 73.88% with the high category, and experiment II was 81.19% with the very high category.  An independent t-test was used to see whether there was a significant difference between experiments I and II. It showed a significant difference in chemistry learning interest between students taught by using computer-based multimedia and those taught by using android-based multimedia on the acid-based lesson of chemistry subject at the eleventh grade of Natural Science.  Therefore, Android-based learning could be developed in the learning process to support student chemistry learning interests.REFERENCESAnugraheni, P. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan lembar kerja peserta didik berbasis Sains teknologi masyarakat pada mata pelajaran IPA di sekolah dasar pada tema panas dan perpindahannya yang valid. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan (research and development). Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model 4-D yaitu define, design, develop dan disseminate yang dimodifikasi menjadi tiga 3-D yaitu define, design, develop (pendefenisian, perancangan, dan pengembangan). Data penelitian diperoleh dari uji validitas yang diperoleh melalui lembar validasi dari lembar kerja peserta didik yang diberikan kepada tiga orang validator ahli. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data validasi diperoleh rata-rata persentase untuk aspek isi 76,67% (layak), aspek model sains teknologi masyarakat 80% (layak), aspek format 82% (sangat layak), aspek bahasa 93% (sangat layak) dan aspek penyajian 82% (sangat layak). Persentase validitas rata-rata adalah 82,73% dengan kategori sangat layak, sehingga diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa lembar kerja peserta didik berbasis sains teknologi masyarakat pada mata pelajaran IPA di sekolah dasar pada tema panas dan perpindahannya dapat digunakan untuk pembelajaran

Abstract

AbstractBilions of new inorganic compounds and many synthetic methods has discovered for decades based on many reason. Its wider use makes inorganic compounds continuously synthesized by chemists. However, most of them were not produced in Indonesia. One of the solution was preparing synthesizing inorganic compounds subject matter to preservice chemistry teacher. Nevertheless, because it is not easy to mastered, didactic reduction must be done. The objection of this study was to reconstructed this subject matter using the Model of Educational Reconstruction (MER), start form curriculum analysis, empirical studies, and analysis of content structure. This research was conducted by mixed method exploratory design, with preservice chemistry teacher 6th and 8th semester as the sample. The reconstruction of synthesis inorganic compounds subject matter material was the following sequence of macro propositions: general description of synthesized of inorganic compounds, benefits of the inorganic compounds, reactions that can underlie possible formation of inorganic compounds, the thermodynamics and kinetics of reactions processes the properties of the inorganic compounds, basic synthesis techniques and basic characterization techniques. And the most important thing that must be understood by potential chemists are: material characteristics, molecular structure of compounds, and chemical reaction.Keywords : Model of Educational Reconstruction, synthesis of inorganic compounds, preservice chemistry teacher

Abstract

Abstract The difficulties of preservice chemistry teacher in understanding theoretical and experimental chemistry were needed to be explored. This research was conducted to analyze students' difficulties in understanding theoretical and experimental chemistry courses, to obtained information that can be used as an evaluation for lecturers and faculty in an effort to improve the quality of preservice chemistry teacher. Mixed method with embedded design was used in this research by given priority to qualitative data as core and quantitative data to supported the analysis. This research found that teoretical inorganic and physical chemistry objects were the most difficult course for fifth semester students, whereas for the seventh graders physical and instrumental chemistry was the most difficult. The main causes of difficulty for students was the chemical abstractions plus the mathematic analysis that was not easily to deep understood by the students. Studets learning patterns and learning design are things that need to be improve to get better results. Kata Kunci: Kesulitan Mahasiswa, Kimia Teoritis, Praktikum Kimia

Abstract

The implementation of Virtual Laboratory in learning is a 21st century media that is expected to be able to help students master abstract and arithmetic chemistry material. Supported by the PBL learning model, this media is expected to be able to develop students' skills to become independent learners through solving the problems given, so that it is expected to improve student learning outcomes. The research was conducted using a quasi-experimental design with a pretest and posttest design, in order to determine the effect of applying the PBL learning model using virtual laboratory media on students' chemistry learning outcomes. The test instrument supported by observation was analyzed for differences in effect using the t-test. The results showed the significant difference in student learning outcomes, at a significant level of 5% which indicated the influence of virtual laboratory media on the application of the PBL learning model on students' chemistry learning outcomes in the matter of reaction rates, with an effect coefficient of 7.8%.Keywords : Problem Based Learning, Virtual Chemistry Laboratory, Reaction Rate

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melakukan analisis penelitian mengenai Identifikasi Kesulitan Materi Kimia Bagi Siswa SMA dalam Mengetahui kesulitan pada materi kimia di Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA). Studi literatur ini akan mengadopsi pendekatan Systematic Literature Review berdasarkan model PRISMA. Peneliti telah menganalisis artikel yang membahas tentang materi penelitian kesulitan kimia yang ada di SMA yang telah diterbitkan dalam rentang lima tahun terakhir, yaitu 2019 hingga 2023. Pencarian artikel akan terfokus pada basis data Google Scholar, Publis or perish dan Research Gate. Peneliti akan menggunakan kata kunci yang berkaitan dengan kesulitan belajar dalam konteks pembelajaran kimia. Selanjutnya, penulis akan mengumpulkan jurnal-jurnal yang telah mendapatkan akreditasi dari sinta dan jurnal review untuk dilakukan analisis mendalam dengan harapan dapat menghasilkan temuan materi kimia yang dianggap sulit adalah Materi yang bersifat abstrak, seperti Struktur Atom, Sistem Periodik Unsur, Ikatan Kimia dan Larutan Penyangga sedangkan yang bersifat perhitungan terdapat materi Termokimia. Dari metode penelitian yang paling banyak digunakan menggunakan metode deskriptif pendekatan kuantitatif mendominasi, menunjukkan bahwa analisis data kuantitatif pendekatan pembelajaran yang inovatif dan strategi.

Abstract

Mata pelajaran kimia yang bersifat abstrak membutuhkan dukungan media pembelajaran yang dapat membantu peserta didik memvisualisasikan pemahamannya dengan lebih menarik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian SLR (Systematic Literature Riview) media yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui perkembangan media komik yang dikembangkan sebagai media pembelajaran kimia. Media pembelajaran komik ini dapat menjadi alternatif solusi ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media komik digital dan cetak yang banyak di desain adalah untu kimia kelas X terutama materi ikatan kimia dengan kuantitas penelitian sebanyak 10%. Disamping itu ada materi lain seperti Reaksi Reduksi dan Oksidasi 8%, larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit 5% dan lain-lain. Seluruh media komik yang dikembangkan ternyata mempunyai pengaruh positif pada pembelajaran kimia dapat meningkatkan hasil dan minat belajar siswa. Adapun topik materi kimia yang sulit untuk dibuat komik adalah materi yang bersifat hitungan dan yang paling sering bersifat abstrak.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The learning with experiment activities in the laboratory could increase students' critical thinking ability, but there were some obstacles in its implementation such as a lack of practical work tools in the laboratory.  To overcome it, it was used a learning media that could show practical work virtually.  This research aimed to know the difference in critical thinking ability between students taught by using a learning method with virtual laboratory and those who were taught by using conventional learning, and the effectiveness of learning using virtual laboratory toward student critical thinking.  The experimental method was used in this research with pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design and purposive sampling technique.  The techniques of analyzing the data were t-test to know the difference in student critical thinking and N-gain test to know the effectiveness level.  The research findings showed that there was a difference in critical thinking ability between students of experimental and control groups, the posttest mean score of critical thinking ability of the experimental group was 81.91 and the control group was 75.22, this difference could also be seen from the calculation result of t-test that the significance score 0.002 was lower than 0.05, so H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted; effective learning.  It was proven by the obtained N-gain score of each student in the experimental group, 28 students were in the high N-gain category with 93.33% percentage and 2 students who were in the medium N-gain category with 6.67% percentage.Â
