Abstract

The port of crossing between Ketapang and Gilimanuk connecting ofJava and Bali Island represents very busy port after port of crossing betweenMerak and Bakauheni connecting of Java and Sumatra Island. Natural demandincreases rapidly by years whereas facilities (number of berth) and basic facilities(number of ferries) are unable to balance it. This research was conducted inSeptember 2008 at condition of normal operation by taking location at port ofKetapang. The objective of this research is to optimize in the event of problem ordamage at one part of the system. Collected data cover growth of demand,condition of facilities, dock headway and also schedule which have been specifiedby PT. ASDP. Method used is single line analysis. The result shows by usingtechnique of optimization when operation problem would possibly happen, thesystem still can give optimal service so that queue (lay time) passenger can beminimized.

Abstract

The growth of land use for building in Bali Province may pose problemsin the foreseeable future. The primary objective of this research is to assess therelation of the land use area for the building against time in the period to come, howlong the land could support the growth of the land use for building and to identifythe regulating method of the land use for building in transitional territory of BaliProvince in order to be able to sustain long term growth.The research data consisted of the area of the settlement, tourism and cultivationzones that were obtained from The Revised Map of The Bali Province SpatialPlanning 2003. The rest of the research data consisted of buildings number and landuser in form of data series that were obtained through documents registrationtechnique.Results of the analysis showed that the forecast annual growth of land use forbuilding in transitional territory of Bali Province was 2.32%; the settlement zonecould only support the growth of the land use for the building up until 2013; thetourism zone could support the growth for much longer time; the cultivation zonewill be fully used in 2072; efforts so that the land could support the growth of theland use for building longer in transitional territory of Bali Province were to reducepopulation growth or to reduce land use area designated per 1 building user.

Abstract

The safety and comfortable of the user of road is determined by quality ofits surface course which can be stated by the index value of its surface. The use of HotRolled Sheet (HRS) as a surface course is very famous in Indonesia. So it is a need toimprove its quality. Because of the lack of its filler at a natural aggregation and thelimit of production of stone ash from the stone crusher, it is required an endeavour tofind out the alternative filler which can replace the stone ash functions in the HotRolled Sheet mixture. For this reason, it will be tried to use the ash of limestone and“Portland” cement as alternative filler. A research has been undertaken in a laboratoryby making a specimen as a sample and treatment to different fillers, a various asphaltquantity and aggregation of gradation which fulfill the specification from Bina Marga.The result shows that by different fillers will make a different characteristic ofmixture, but on certain asphalt quantity the three treatments that is filler of stone ash,ash of limestone and “Portland” cement, still in line with the specification from BinaMarga.

Abstract

The research data consisted of the area of the settlement, tourism and cultivation zones that were obtained from The Revised Map of The Bali Province Spatial Planning 2003. The rest of the research data consisted of buildings number and land user in form of data series that were obtained through documents registration technique. Results of the analysis showed that: the forecasted annual growth of land use for building in urban territory of Bali Province was 2.32%; the settlement zone could only support the growth of the land use for the building up until 2013; the tourism zone could support the growth for much longer time; the cultivation zone will be fully used in 2072; efforts so that the land could support the growth of the land use for building longer in urban territory of Bali Province were to reduce population growth or to reduce land use area designated for 1 building user.
