Abstract

The development and advancement of technology, especially the Industrial Revolution 4.0, introduced humans to artificial intelligence (AI). AI plays a role in changing human lifestyles. There are logical and fair characters and use considerations of justice and human values, according to the Pancasila framework. This study presents the issue of whether Pancasila values are beneficial for the utilization of artificial intelligence. How is artificial intelligence utilized within the Pancasila framework? According to the issue studied, it answers that artificial intelligence, which continues to develop rapidly, has not been able to be in the corridor of its main objectives, namely the protection of human rights and respect for human dignity in the digital era. Even though the values of Pancasila are taught and grounded in the social environment, human behavior has not changed according to the targeted goals. Often the development model of artificial intelligence does not always adhere to ethical values, especially in areas that are closely related to efforts to replace the role of humans, who are vulnerable to eliminating respect for the nobility of human dignity.

Abstract

The growing use of social media platforms by adolescents presents serious challenges such as cyberbullying, data exploitation and adverse psychological effects. Hence, strong regulatory frameworks are essential. This research aims to analyze the legal framework on the limitation of social media for minors in Indonesia and to compare it with the practices in the United States of America and Australia. The research is developed from the standpoint of legislation and comparative law, the normative juridical technique. The main legal tools are Government Regulation No. 17 of 2025 (Indonesia), Arkansas Act 689 (United States), the Online Safety Amendment Act 2024 (Australia) and relevant international human rights treaties. Secondary sources are scholarly publications , journal articles , government papers etc . The data were acquired by document review and evaluated using qualitative technique with descriptive analysis. Data veracity was assured by source triangulation and rigorous legal interpretation. “It exposes a huge split in how regulators. The United States ruled that Arkansas Act 689 was unconstitutional because it violated the strong First Amendment right to free expression. Australia has taken a tough prohibitionist stance with large financial penalties for platforms that do not comply. Mental health and safety of children are the top priority Government Regulation No. 17 of 2025 of the Indonesian Government has implemented the age categorisation and risk-based access plan that requires parental authorisation and imposes considerable cost on electronic system providers. Like any administrative statute, it has its own challenges, including low levels of digital literacy, uneven technology infrastructure across the archipelago, pushback from global platforms and the absence of an independent supervision body and comprehensive means for victim compensation. The research says more collaboration across sectors, a stronger regulatory framework and higher levels of digital literacy are needed to create a truly safe digital ecosystem for children.

Abstract

Amidst rapid technological advancement, this study investigates the influence of artificial intelligence (AI) on human relationships and the safeguarding of human dignity. The research questions whether AI's current trajectory aligns with ethical standards and preserves the core values of human interaction. Using a normative juridical approach combined with interdisciplinary analysis from ethics and philosophy, the study critically assesses both the advantages, and the ethical risks associated with AI integration. It explores how AI reshapes traditional social dynamics and tests existing legal-ethical frameworks. Through a review of selected case studies and theoretical discourse, the paper identifies deficiencies in existing regulations and emphasizes the urgent need for comprehensive ethical and legal standards. The findings highlight the importance of redefining ethical practices within legal frameworks to ensure justice, transparency, and the continuous protection of human dignity amid evolving AI technologies.

Abstract

The politics of law plays a strategic role in shaping the direction of regulation-making and the effectiveness of law enforcement in Indonesia. However, law enforcement practices continue to face various challenges, such as the dominance of political interests, suboptimal public participation, weak regulatory harmonization, and issues regarding the independence and integrity of law enforcement officials. This study aims to analyze the role of the politics of law in achieving responsive and just law enforcement in Indonesia and to formulate strategies for strengthening it. The research employs a normative-juridical method utilizing statutory, conceptual, and case-based approaches through a literature review of primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials. Qualitative analysis is conducted using legal interpretation and deductive reasoning. The findings indicate that the effectiveness of law enforcement is significantly influenced by the quality of the politics of law, particularly regarding the implementation of Law Number 48 of 2009 concerning Judicial Power; Law Number 12 of 2011 concerning the Formation of Legislation (as amended by Law Number 13 of 2022); and Law Number 30 of 2002 concerning the Corruption Eradication Commission (as amended by Law Number 19 of 2019). Strengthening the politics of law through participatory regulation-making, enhanced official integrity, the independence of law enforcement institutions, and effective oversight is a key factor in realizing a law enforcement system that is responsive, accountable, and just.
