Abstract

This study aims to describe: 1) innovative, ideal, and fun classroom management plans to improve students' reading literacy in class IIB at MIN 2 Ambon, 2) The teacher's role in classroom management is innovative, ideal, and fun to improve students' reading literacy in class. IIB at MIN 2 Ambon, the role of the principal in supervising the management of innovative, ideal, and fun classrooms to improve students' reading literacy in class IIB at MIN 2 Ambon, and 4) supporting and inhibiting factors for innovative, ideal, and fun classroom management to improve reading literacy of students in class IIB at MIN 2 Ambon. This type of research is a qualitative research with a phenomenological research design. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed that in MIN 2 Ambon, innovative, ideal, and fun classroom management had been carried out well to improve students' reading literacy in class IIB at MIN 2 Ambon. Classroom management planning is carried out by arranging facilities, teaching management and student arrangements. The teacher's role in learning is to be a class manager or teaching manager, the teacher also acts as a facilitator, motivator, demonstrator, mediator, and evaluator. The principal's role is to monitor teacher performance continuously in literacy activities and programs in schools. The supporting factors and inhibiting factors for classroom management are the physical environment, social emotional condition and organization at the MIN 2 Ambon school

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan metode PBL dibandingkan dengan metode ceramah dalam pembelajaran IPS terhadap hasil belajar IPS di Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen. Desain eksperimen yang digunakan merupakan pretest and postest group design dengan analisis faktorial 2x2. Sampel penelitian dua kelas yang ditentukan dengan teknik purposive random sampling dengan jumlah 60 peserta didik. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dengan α=0,05 kesimpulannya adalah sebagai berikut: (1) hasil belajar IPS peserta didik dengan metode PBL lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan hasil belajar IPS peserta didik yang belajar dengan metode ceramah.

Abstract

Abstract. The implementation of this Community Service (PkM) activity aims to increase the understanding of elementary school students on the attitudes that must be carried out before, during, and after the earthquake disaster. Through this PkM activity, students are expected to be able to, 1) have basic knowledge about the steps in responding to disasters properly and correctly; 2) students have an understanding of the attitude that must be done in the event of a disaster; and 3) students have an understanding of attitudes that must be done after a disaster occurs. The training participants were 30 students of SD MIN 1 Ambon. The materials presented at the time of socialization were 1) things to be prepared before a disaster occurred, 2) strategies to be implemented during a disaster, and 3) strategies to be implemented after a disaster occurred. This PkM activity was carried out through lecture methods, and demonstrations using the disaster response pocket book. The results of the training obtained are 1) students gain basic knowledge about earthquake disaster mitigation before a disaster occurs, 2) students have an understanding of attitudes that must be taken when a disaster occurs, and 3) students have an understanding of what to do after a disaster occurs. Referring to the results of this PkM activity, the school should participate more actively in carrying out socialization activities so that students have more knowledge and understanding of earthquake disaster mitigation. Keywords: mitigation, earthquake, students
