Abstract

Some woman have breast tumors with higher level of HER-2. HER-2 receptor is is a member of the epidermal growth factor receptor family which one such gene that can play a role in the development of breast carcinoma. Normally, HER-2 receptors control breast cell grows, divides, and repair breast cell. But in pathologic conditions it make too many copies. The aim of this study  was to evaluated the expression of HER-2 in woman breast carcinoma and to compare it with Histological Type and Grade. We Observed  1.395 patients with breast carcinoma. The mean age of the patients was 45.7 (Ranged 23-73 years). In this group the frequency of Her2 positive was higher than other. The incidence of patients above 50 years of age were significancy higher in Her2 positive with 363 (47%). For tumor grading, the highest on G3 with the results 764 (54.7%). G3 got the highest results on Her2 positive with 535. We just divide the type of tumor consist of three parts (ductal, lobular, and other). In tumor type obtained the most data on ductal carcinoma with 878 (63%). The difference did not achieve stastitical significance , when calculated with chi square got results >0.05. From the results can be concluded there is no relationship between Her2 with histological type and grade breast cancer.

Abstract

Introduction: Breast cancer is a heterogeneous disease caused by the interaction of genetic factors and environmental risk factors that lead to the accumulation of progressive genetic and epigenetic changes in breast cancer cells. The incidence of breast cancer in Indonesia is 11% of all cancer incidents. There are many factors that are thought to have an influence on the occurrence of breast cancer, including age, immunohistochemistry, and variable levels of first breast carcinoma at old age. Methods: A descriptive retrospective study by taking medical record data about breast cancer at the Dr. Moewardi General Hospital, Surakarta. at the Installation of Medical Records at the General Hospital DR. Moewardi Period February 2016 - February 2018. Results: According to the age group of 50 years, 162 patients (54%) and above who had a high risk and under 50 years group were 138 patients (46%). From the results of the study, breast cancer patients with grade 3 were found to be the most with 155 cases (51.67%). Hormonal receptor detection in breast cancer patients showed a high incidence of HER-2-negative patients as many as 172 patients (57.33%). The rest showed positive HER-2 results as many as 128 patients (42.67%). There was a high incidence of negative HER-2 as many as 172 patients (57.33%). The rest showed positive HER-2 results as many as 128 patients (42.67%). Positive HER-2 subtypes (ER-, PR-, HER2 +) were the most common cases, namely 128 cases (42.67%). The magnitude of the correlation (Phi and Cramer) produces the same number, while the contingency coefficient produces a smaller number. Conclusion: There is almost no relationship or there is a very weak relationship between age, immunohistochemistry, and variable rates of breast carcinoma, variable rates of breast carcinoma at the occurrence of metastases.

Abstract

Background: Lactating adenoma is a rare palpable breast lesion that occurs late in pregnancy or the lactation period and is commonly found in young primiparous women in the second or third decade of life. This case report aims to describe lactating adenoma and its management. Case presentation: A woman, 24 years old, 26 weeks pregnant, came to the Surgical Oncology Polyclinic of Dr. Moewardi Hospital Surakarta with a complaint of a lump in the right breast from the last 4 months. The lump was felt to be getting bigger, painful to the point that sometimes fluid came out of the nipple of her right breast. The patient had a history of previous lumps with a diagnosis of fibroadenoma that had been operated on. On palpation multiple nodules are palpable. Mammography examination showed a mass with partial calcification (BIRADS 3). The patient was diagnosed with a tumur of mammae dextra suspected of malignant cT2N1Mx with G1P0A0 26 weeks gestation. Histopathological examination results showed a lactating adenoma. Conclusion: There are several recommendations for the management of lactating adenoma during pregnancy. An antepartum biopsy is recommended for women with a breast mass in the first or second trimester, postpartum for masses that appear in the late third trimester, and fine-needle aspiration biopsy as an alternative for masses that appear in the early third trimester. Treatment with bromocriptine, a dopamine agonist, may be given to reduce the size of the lactating adenoma.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic caused significant disruptions in cancer care, and preliminary research suggests that these disruptions are associated with increased levels of psychosocial distress among cancer survivors. Indonesia initially reported positive cases in early March 2020, followed by regular extensive occurrences across 34 provinces. The disease causes acute respiratory failure among people with specific comorbidities, including geriatric disorders, diabetes, cardiovascular and respiratory diseases, and cancer. Consequently, the patients’ conditions become more severe, possibly leading to a higher mortality rate. Individuals with cancer are at particularly elevated risk of a severe course of COVID-19 because they tend to be of older age and are at a greater risk for needing intensive care and for mortality. A reasonably good comprehension of the current COVID-19 outbreak, poor awareness of the primary disease and subsequent therapy program, and minimal understanding of the importance of continuing treatment during the pandemic are the probable factors causing the fear of contracting the COVID-19 virus that poses a significant threat of aggravating the existing breast cancer conditions in most patients. This anxiety shows a drastic impact in altering the behavioral patterns of survivors undergoing therapy. There is a very good understanding of how it is caused by the SARS-COV2 virus. Meanwhile, there is a severe lack of understanding of cancer and the therapeutic program. The patients are more afraid of contracting this virus than they are of their cancer. Patients prefer development of their cancer to contracting the SARS-COV2 virus. Therefore, massive education and supervision are needed for cancer patients to understand the COVID-19 pandemic and ensure that routine checks are appropriately managed.

Abstract

Kata Kunci : Retinoblastoma, Tes Lihat Merah, Deteksi Dini  ABSTRACT Retinoblastoma is a common eye malignancy in children with an incidence ranging from 1 in 14,000 to 1 in 20,000 births. Delayed diagnosis and treatment of retinoblastoma is one of the problems that can lead to extraocular metastases, loss of vision, and death. In developing countries, including Indonesia, the cause of delay in the diagnosis of retinoblastoma comes from the child's parents due to economic factors and ignorance of retinoblastoma disease and awareness of clinical symptoms of retinoblastoma. Approximately half of the population of children diagnosed with retinoblastoma die, presumably because it was diagnosed at an advanced stage. Therefore, it is necessary to make efforts to increase the awareness and vigilance of parents about retinoblastoma disease. Early treatment of retinoblastoma through early detection, see red to see the presence of leukocoria can be done in adequate healthcare facilities with simple tools using an ophthalmoscope.  Keywords:  Retinoblastoma,  Red Reflex Test, Screening
