Abstract

The aims of this study are to develop a cooperative learning type NHT (Numbered Heads Together). The typeis feasible (valid, practical, and effective) and can to practice communication skills, learning outcomes in the material of electrolyte and nonelectrolyte solution in the second semester students of class X State High School 1 Peso. Development of the learning is done based on the models of four-D. This study use done group pretest posttest design. Based on research data obtain findings: the validity of the research developed a good categorized; text book readability level students the developed a good category; good categorized enforceability of RPP; student?s dominant activity is to communicate information ideas/ opinions, ask questions, and presentations with the percentage of 18.88%; the obstacles encountered during the implementation of the learning device that students are not familiar with the cooperative model type NHT (Numbered Heads Together) and the majority of students are less active in the learning process; students responded positively to the learning process; teaching and learning process using cooperative learning type NHT (Numbered Heads Together) is able to practice the students communication skills; and student learning outcomes after participating in the learning process is completed 100%. The conclusion of this studyis the cooperative learning type NHT (Numbered Heads Together) feasible (valid, practical, andeffective) used to practice communication skills and learning out comes on the material of electrolyte and nonelectrolyte solution. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT (Numbered Heads Together) yang layak (valid, praktis, dan efektif), melatihkan keterampilan berkomunikasi serta mengetahui hasil belajar pada materi larutan elektrolit dan nonelektrolit pada siswa kelas X semester II SMA Negeri 1 Peso. Pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran dilakukan berdasarkan model four-D. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Berdasarkan data penelitian diperoleh beberapa temuan:validitas perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan berkategori baik; tingkat keterbacaan Buku Ajar Siswa yang dikembangkan berkategori tepat untuk pembelajaran; keterlaksanaan RPP berkategori baik; aktivitas siswa yang dominan adalah mengkomunikasikan informasi ide/pendapat, bertanya, dan presentasi dengan persentase 18,88%; hambatan yang ditemui selama penerapan perangkat pembelajaran yaitu siswa belum terbiasa dengan model kooperatif tipe NHT (Numbered Heads Together) dan sebagian siswa kurang aktif dalam proses pembelajaran; siswa memberikan respon positif terhadap proses pembelajaran; pembelajarankooperatif tipe NHT(Numbered Heads Together) dapat melatihkan keterampilan berkomunikasi siswa; dan hasil belajar siswa setelah mengikuti proses belajar mengajar adalah tuntas 100%.  Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah perangkat pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT (Numbered Heads Together) layak (valid, praktis, dan efektif) digunakan untuk melatihkan keterampilan berkomunikasi dan hasil belajar pada materi larutan elektrolit dan nonelektrolit.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of meaning learning model in life organizational system material on learning feasibility, student activities, student responses, student learning outcomes (knowledge, skills and attitudes), and development character of discipline and responsibility. Subjects of the research are seventh grade students of SMP 2 Tanah Grogot, Paser district of East Kalimantan academic year 2014/2015. This is Pre-Experimental One Group Pre-test-Post Test Design research. Methods of collecting data in this research are observation, testing, and questionnaires. Technique of data analysis is using descriptive quantitative analysis. Based on the data analysis of the research obtain some findings:  a) developed learning materials are generally valid and well categorized, b) observation of study feasibility is well categorized, c) students? activity during the learning is quite active, d) students? response to all learning components are good and positive, e) students learning outcomes on knowledge has increased which can be seen from both individual learning outcomes, skill and attitude learning outcome after the teaching learning process are well done, f) based on the observation, discipline and responsibility character during the teaching learning process has increased well. It is concluded that the application of meaning learning models purport to improve learning outcomes, grow the discipline and responsibility character on seventh grade of junior high school students Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh model  pembelajaran pemaknaan pada materi sistem organisasi kehidupan terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa.  Parameter penelitian yang diamati adalah keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, aktivitas siswa, respon siswa, hasil belajar siswa (pengetahuan, keterampilan dan sikap) dan pengembangan karakter disiplin dan tanggung jawab. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII SMPN 2 Tanah Grogot Kab. Paser Kalimantan Timur tahun ajaran 2014/2015.  Jenis penelitian  Pre-Experimental One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, tes, dan angket. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian diperoleh beberapa temuan a) perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan secara umum valid dan berkategori baik, b)  keterlaksanaan pembelajaran berkategori baik, c) aktivitas siswa selama proses pembelajaran cukup aktif, d)  respon siswa terhadap seluruh komponen pembelajaran baik dan positif,  e)  hasil belajar siswa aspek pengetahuan terjadi peningkatan pada hasil belajar secara individual, hasil belajar aspek keterampilan dan hasil belajar aspek sikap  setelah mengikuti pembelajaran seluruh siswa tuntas, f)  pengamatan karakter disiplin dan tanggung jawab selama proses pembelajaran mengalami peningkatan dengan predikat baik. Simpulan hasil penelitian ini bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran pemaknaan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar dan menumbuhkan karakter disiplin dan tanggung jawab siswa SMP kelas VII.

Abstract

This research is aims to develop a valid and effective learning material, by using discovery learning model to increase learning outcomes and creative thinking skills on static fluid material in senior high school. Thiagarajan?s 4-D model is used to develop the learning materials and tryout with one group pretest-posttest design. The data were analyzed by quantitative and qualitative description. The results show that: a) Development of learning materials are valid; b) Feasibility of learning material can be applied well ; c) Student?s activities during Discovery Learning  model are good; d) The student?s responses toward learning material and implementation are positive; e) Results of learning outcomes in religious attitude are good, aspects of social attitude are good, aspects of knowledge increase with medium level, and aspect of science process skills have excellent predicate; f) Results of creative thinking skills students is increasing in medium level either on fluency thinking, flexibility thinking, or originality thinking. So, it can be concluded that the physics learning materials using Discovery Learning model are valid and effective to increase learning outcomes and creative thinking skills. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran fisika model Discovery Learning  yang valid dan efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar dan keterampilan berpikir kreatif pada materi fluida statis di SMA. Rancangan pengembangan yang digunakan mengikuti model 4-D dari Thiagarajan dengan desain uji coba one group pretest-posttest design. Data penelitian dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan: a) Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan dinyatakan valid; b) Keterlaksanaan perangkat pembelajaran pada uji coba terlaksana dengan baik; c) Aktivitas siswa selama pembelajaran mengikuti langkah-langkah model Discovery Learning secara baik; d) Respon siswa terhadap perangkat dan model pembelajaran positif; e) Hasil belajar siswa pada aspek sikap religius baik, aspek sikap sosial baik, aspek pengetahuan meningkat dengan rata-rata peningkatan berkategori tinggi, serta aspek keterampilan proses sains memperoleh predikat sangat baik; f) Hasil keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa mengalami peningkatan berkategori sedang pada aspek berpikir lancar, berpikir luwes, dan berpikir orisinal. Berdasarkan hasil di atas dapat disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran fisika model Discovery Learning yang telah dikembangkan dinyatakan valid dan efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar dan keterampilan berpikir kreatif.

Abstract

The aimed of this research to describe the student learning outcomes and critical thinking skills through guided inquiry model using student worksheet oriented of critical thinking skills. This Research was conducted on two stages, are development of teaching materials using Dick and Carey model, and the implementation stage into the classroom using one group pretest-posttest design with subjects were 30 students on X class of SMAN 1 Pasir Belengkong Kabupaten Paser Kalimantan Timur. The parameter is feasibility of lesson plan, student activity, learning outcomes, critical thinking skills and constraints for teaching and learning activities. Data collecting were using observation method, test, and questionnaire. After the data were analiyzed with this result: The feasibility of lesson plan could be categorized as good, student activity with instrument reliability classified as good, learning outcomes test to know mastery of student learning on Ecosystems with the average score as good and gain score high gain, critical thinking test with the average score as good and gain score high gain. Based on this research, it can be concluded that guided inquiry model using student worksheet of critical thinking skills can improve student learning outcomes and critical thinking skills. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil belajar siswa dan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa melalui model inkuiri terbimbing menggunakan LKS berorientasi keterampilan berpikir kritis. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua tahap, yaitu tahap pengembangan perangkat yang menggunakan model Dick & Carey, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan tahap implememtasi model di dalam kelas menggunakan rancangan One group Pretest-Posttest Design dengan subjek penelitian 30 siswa kelas X SMAN 1 Pasir Belengkong Kabupaten Paser Kalimantan Timur. Parameter yang diukur meliputi keterlaksanaan RPP, aktivitas siswa, hasil belajar siswa, keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa, respon siswa dan hambatan selama kegiatan belajar. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi, tes, dan angket. Selanjutnya data dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Keterlaksanaan RPP dengan kategori baik, aktivitas siswa, dengan reliabilitas instrumen berkategori baik, ketuntasan belajar siswa pada materi ekosistem dengan nilai rata-rata baik dan gain score rata-rata  gain tinggi, ketuntasan keterampilan berpikir kritis dengan rata-rata nilai baik dan gain score rata-rata gain tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa model inkuiri terbimbing menggunakan LKS berorientasi keterampilan berpikir kritis dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar dan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa.

Abstract

The research was aimed to produce a science physics learning package based on the Model Pemaknaan to facilitate science process skills and cultivate character on the subject of Electromagnetic Induction. The object is achieved through the process of describing the feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness of learning package are developed. This type of research is the development of research, to develop a learning package including syllabus, lesson plans, worksheets, student textbooks, and learning outcomes assessment sheet. The researcher developed the learning package using 4-D and used One Group Pre Test ? Post Test Design during the implementation. The subjects in this research is learning package, were tested on students of SMP Negeri 2 Mojokerto. Data collection was conducted in three sessions. Analysis of experimental data showed that the developed learning package categorized feasible, practical, and effective. Feasibility in terms of legibility student textbooks was 90%, and validation results were expressed valid. Demonstrated the practicality of enforceability lesson plan average of 97.6%, 76.7% student's activity. The effectiveness of the learning package is shown with 82.4% cognitive learning outcomes, 94.6% psychomotor, 97.3%  science process skills, and 95.8% affective average (100% moral knowing, 100% moral feeling, 87.5%  acting morally), and 92.1% the positive response of students (100 % respond positively to the interpretation phase, characteristic of Model Pemaknaan. Based on the results of data analysis concluded that the science physics learning package based Model Pemaknaan  in the subject matter of electromagnetic induction feasible, practical, and effective to use in learning tofacilitate science process skills and cultivate character of junior high school students. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran IPA Fisika berbasis model pemaknaan untuk melatihkan keterampilan proses sains dan menanamkan karakter pada pokok bahasan Induksi Elektromagnetik. Tujuan tersebut dicapai melalui proses mendiskripsikan kelayakan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan, yaitu mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran meliputi Silabus, RPP, LKS, BAS, dan LPHB. Model pengembangan perangkat yang digunakan adalah model pengembangan 4-D, sedangkan dalam uji coba perangkat digunakan rancangan One Group Pretest ? Posttest Design. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah perangkat pembelajaran yang diujicobakan pada siswa SMP Negeri 2 Mojokerto. Pengambilan data dilakukan dalam tiga kali pertemuan. Analisis data penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan berkategori layak, praktis, dan efektif. Kelayakan ditinjau dari keterbacaan BAS 90% dan hasil validitasi yang menyatakan perangkat pembelajaran valid. Kepraktisan ditunjukkan dari keterlaksanaan RPP rata-rata 97,6%, aktivitas siswa 76,7%.  Keefektifan perangkat pembelajaran ditunjukkan dengan hasil belajar kognitif 82,4%,  psikomotor 94,6%,  keterampilan proses sains 97,3%, dan afektif rata-rata 95,8% (moral knowing  100%, moral feeling 100%, moral acting 87,5%), serta respon positif siswa 92,1 % (100% merespon positif terhadap fase pemaknaan, ciri khas model pemaknaan). Berdasarkan hasil analisis data di atas disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran IPA Fisika berbasis model pembelajaran pemaknaan pada materi pokok induksi elektromagnet layak, praktis, dan efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran untuk melatihkan keterampilan proses sains dan menanamkan karakter siswa SMP.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to determine differences in the physico-chemical character of the bentonite-Sigma (BS) compared with Al pillared bentonite (B-Al/400° C), and technical bentonite (BT) so we can know the nature of the surface. This experimental research laboratory using three instruments, namely Buck Scientific IR Spectrophotometer - 500, Gas Sorption Analyzer Quantachrome NovaWin2, and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM-EDX).The result of this research showed the differences in physico-chemical character of BS, B-Al/400° C and BT in terms of: (1) The position of the main functional groups using IR Spectrophotometer instrument; (2) The surface areas of B-S, B-Al/400° C, and B-T are 24.78 m2/g; 217.021 m2/g; and 51.935 m2/g, while total pore volume for the pore radii smaller than 1001.9 Å? (B-S) and smaller than 1273.1 Å? (B-Al/400 oC) and less than 1013.9 A? (B-T) using Gas Sorption Analyzer. (3) Using SEM-EDX indicated that the percent mass compounds of B-S are Al2O3: 19.78%, and SiO2: 80.22%; the percent mass compounds of B-Al/400° C are Al2O3: 30.43%, and SiO2: 69.57%. the percent mass compounds of B-Tare Na2O: 2.64%; Al2O3: 20.75%, SiO2: 57.55%, FeO: 13.73%.

Hasil penelitian diperoleh beberapa temuan a) perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan secara umum valid dan berkategori baik, b)  keterlaksanaan pembelajaran berkategori baik, c) aktivitas siswa selama proses pembelajaran cukup aktif, d)  respon siswa terhadap seluruh komponen pembelajaran baik dan positif,  e)  hasil belajar siswa aspek pengetahuan terjadi peningkatan pada hasil belajar secara individual, hasil belajar aspek keterampilan dan hasil belajar aspek sikap  setelah mengikuti pembelajaran seluruh siswa tuntas, f)  pengamatan karakter disiplin dan tanggung jawab selama proses pembelajaran mengalami peningkatan dengan predikat baik. Simpulan hasil penelitian ini bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran pemaknaan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar dan menumbuhkan karakter disiplin dan tanggung jawab siswa SMP kelas VII.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to determine differences in the physico-chemical character of the bentonite-Sigma (BS) compared with Al pillared bentonite (B-Al/400° C), and technical bentonite (BT) so we can know the nature of the surface. This experimental research laboratory using three instruments, namely Buck Scientific IR Spectrophotometer - 500, Gas Sorption Analyzer Quantachrome NovaWin2, and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM-EDX).The result of this research showed the differences in physico-chemical character of BS, B-Al/400° C and BT in terms of: (1) The position of the main functional groups using IR Spectrophotometer instrument; (2) The surface areas of B-S, B-Al/400° C, and B-T are 24.78 m2/g; 217.021 m2/g; and 51.935 m2/g, while total pore volume for the pore radii smaller than 1001.9 Ǻ (B-S) and smaller than 1273.1 Ǻ (B-Al/400 oC) and less than 1013.9 AÌŠ (B-T) using Gas Sorption Analyzer. (3) Using SEM-EDX indicated that the percent mass compounds of B-S are Al2O3: 19.78%, and SiO2: 80.22%; the percent mass compounds of B-Al/400° C are Al2O3: 30.43%, and SiO2: 69.57%. the percent mass compounds of B-Tare Na2O: 2.64%; Al2O3: 20.75%, SiO2: 57.55%, FeO: 13.73%.Â
