Abstract

Lontar is a written media which is used in the earlier period before the discovery of the paper as a part of the renewable technology. Studying or researching old manuscripts is not an effortless job. In addition to the technical factors, it also involves language and script which are applied in the text as well as other factors associated with the culture system. In the manuscript, there are texts which match its soul. One text that is fascinating to observe further is the text of Tutur Muladara, the teachings of the spiritual that focus on the integration of sound, breath, and mind. This article analyzes the teachings contained in the text Tutur Muladara. In this text, there are various teachings of kadiatmikan. One of them is the teachings of Jnana Sandhi. This sort of teaching consists of three subs, namely the teaching of seven holes of the sky, Yoga Sandhi and Sang Hyang Adnyana Sandhi.

Abstract

The implementation of yajña or rituals requires of various means called upakara, in the form of offerings (banten). Banten which is made as a symbol of God's manifestation (Bhatara) contains aesthetic elements, devotion, obedience, and sincerity. The Hindu community in Bali believes that by using upakara means they get closer to God and its manifestations being adored. Means of upakara include: daksina, peras, sesayut, tebasan, suci and other ayaban. One of the tebasan was named tebasan penawa sangga. Tebasan penawa sangga was dedicated to the piodalan in Pura Luhur Pucak Padang Dawa which contains a religious aesthetic element. Tebasan penawa sangga educated the public so that the public will learn about the meaning, meaning and function used in the implementation of piodalan in Pura Luhur Pucak Padang Dawa. The theory used in this research were: (1) Religious theory, (2) Aesthetic theory, and (3) symbol theory. Sources of data used were primary data and secondary data. The method used to collect data was observation, interview, literature study, and document study. The data which had been collected were analyzed by using descriptive technique. The result of the research showed the aesthetic forms of the tebasan penawa sangga were: (1) the aesthetic form satyam, (2) the aesthetic shape siwam, (3) the aesthetic form sundaram. The functions of tebasan penawa sangga were: (1) The function of religious aesthetics, (2) The function of social aesthetics. The meanings of tebasan penawa sangga were: (1) the meaning of religious aesthetics, (2) the meaning of social aesthetics, 3) the meaning of aesthetics in education. As a final word, it was suggested to the leaders, figures of Hinduism and academics to provide guidance with the guidance and enlightenment regarding to the meaning of tebasan penawa sangga.

Abstract

Globalization that is sweeping the globe makes Balinese human relationships can not be confined within a narrow community atmosphere, such as; sectarian, tribal, race and religion. However, a Balinese human relationship has grown rapidly among the community which then penetrate the walls of bounds such as class, ethnicity, race and religion. Balinese society generally had been conscious to keep the Balinese suatainability, where the Balinese people want to go back to their own identity, so that various cultural values are revitalized, because some have been mixed and melted with foreign cultural values. It can be shown from nature and Balinese human character in the perspective of Balinese human which is meaningful individually or collectively. The style of the Balinese social community, genersally the social-religious one within a Desa Pakramanis having very thick characteristics according to the category of the values & characters above. Balinese culture is rooted in the Hindu religion that full of tolerance and high solidarity. In addition, Hinduism is a religion that is universal which implementation in various places in Bali is different. However, the core essences of the teachings remain the same

Abstract

Marriage is a noble social institution because it is a Grhastha Dormitory, which is a place to carry out the Dharma. Grhastha has an important meaning in the life of Hindu society. One of the ways of marriage that is carried out by means of singing, especially Soroh Batu Jelantik in Gulingan Village, Mengwi District, Badung Regency. The theory used to analyze the formulation of the problem is: 1). Structural Functionalism Theory. 2). Theory of Religion 3) Symbolic Interactionism Theory. The methods used to collect data are non-participatory observation methods, interviews, literature and documents. The technique of determining the informants used was Purposive Sampling. The collected data were analyzed with data analysis techniques with steps of reduction, data presentation, data drawing conclusions. The research results show 1). The reasons for carrying out the Ngamaling Soroh Batu Jelantik marriage in Gulingan Village are: 1. Carrying out the Tradition. 2. The caste system takes place. 3. The existence of interfaith marriage, and 4. Marriage under age. 2). The wedding procession of the Soroh Batu Jelantik wedding in Gulingan Village are: 1). The initial stage of the implementation of the Soroh Batu Jelantik marriage in Gulingan Village: 1. Mapajati 2. Map behavior 3. Inflammation 2).1. Makala-Kalaan ceremony 2. Widhi-Widhana ceremony. 3. Majuman ceremony. 3) The final stage of the implementation of the Ngamaling Soroh Batu Jelantik marriage in Gulingan Village, namely: 1. Macaru Sang Hyang Semara Ratih. 2. Complete marriage administration. 3). The impacts that exist on a ngamaling marriage are: 1. Psychological impact. 2. Impact on Family. 3. Religious Impact. 4. Social Impact.
