Mangroves are plants that grow between tidal lines. Mangrove forests have very important ecological andeconomic functions, but are very vulnerable to damage if they are not wise in maintaining, conserving andmanaging them. This research was conducted in Kampung Baru Village, Penajam District, Penajam PaserUtara Regency, East Kalimantan Province. The purpose of this study was to identify the types ofmangroves and to determine the ecological conditions of mangrove forest vegetation in the mangroveecosystem of Kampung Baru Village. The method used is the Transect Line Plot method. The dataobtained were then processed by community structure analysis. The types of mangroves found in fourstations in the mangrove ecosystem of the Kampung Baru, consist of nine types of mangroves, namely:Rhizopora mucronata, Rhizopora apiculata, Ceriops decandra, Avicennia marina, Nypa, Avicennia alba,Avicennia officinalis, Avicennia rumphiana, Sonneratia alba, and from four families, namely:Rhizophoraceae, Sonneratiaceae, Canthaceace and Arecaceace. The highest density value was Rhizophoramucronata, namely 1.04 ind/m2, with a relative density of 149.8%. The highest frequency value for Rhizophora mucronata was 400. The highest value for closure was Avicennia alba (100.12 m2). Importance value index of Rhizophora mucronata (151.82%), the lowest analysis of all stations wereCeriops decandra and Nypa species and had very abundant species diversity.

Analysis ofthe data used Tourism Suitability Indeks based on the multiplication of weights and skors obtained fromeach parameter of Depth, Brightness, coast type, coast Width, Coastal Slope, Water Base Material,Current Speed, tracking of Hazardous Biota, Land Closure, Water Availability, and using Area SupportingEffort analysis Based on the size of the seashore area. The condition of the beach tourism suitability indexfor the four stations on Beras Basah Island is the north station 2,3, 2,5 east, 2,6 south and west station 2,5the category is very suitable even though the visual conditions in the field actually look general and aresuitable for ecotourims and tourims. The total area carrying capacity calculation results are estimated tohave a maximum capacity of 202 people/day in 5 hours/person.

The result of the suitability analysis show that the mangrove area of the Pangempang area is included in the appropriate or standard category (S2) namely 62%, which is suitable for development into ecotourism because it has a good density value and various type of mangrove and the presence of various types of biota such as birds, crabs, mollusca, fish and monkeys. Based on the type of mangrove shows that station I there are 7 type namely Brugeria gymnorhiza, Avicennia rumphiana, Avicennia officinalis, Rhizophora apiculata, Rhizophora mucronata, Rhizophora stylosa and Avicennia marina. Station II namely Brugeria gymnorhiza, Avicennia rumphiana, Avicennia officinalis, Rhizophora apiculata, Rhizophora mucronata, Rhizophora stylosa and Avicennia marina. Station III namely Brugeria gymnorhiza, Avicennia rumphiana, Avicennia officinalis, Rhizophora apiculata and Avicennia marina.

The results showed that the waste found on Hoga island belongs to the category of macro-type waste with a total of 64 and an abundance of 2.56 particles / m2 dominated by plastic by 75%. The most marine debris is found in transect 3 with an amount of 37 and a weight of 1,323 g. Meanwhile, transect 1 found 15 waste 777 g in weight and transect 2 as much as 10 waste weighing 268 g. The management of ecotourism on Hoga Island is regulated by the local government without involving the community and local village governments. The socioeconomic interests of the community are not accommodated in local government policies, so that individually local communities participate in the field of services in developing ecotourism and meeting needs. Abstract
