Abstract

The spectral analysis of surface waves (SASW) method is introduced as an in-situ non-destructive seismic technique where the method consists of the generation, measurement and processing the dispersive Rayleigh waves from two vertical transducers. Subsequently, the dispersive data of Rayleigh phase velocity are inverted and the shear wave velocity versus depth of the site is obtained. The dynamic stiffness parameters, i.e. elastic modulus generated from the SASW measurements are at a very small strain levels of 0.001%. At this strain level the soil is linearly elastic and the use of elastic theories is thus justified. The aim of this paper is to investigate the seismic parameters of the pavement subgrade stiffness using the SASW method and to predict its bearing capacity based on the seismic parameters. In order to determine the bearing capacity, in situ dynamic cone penetrometer (DCP) was also carried out in the same location of SASW test.  The relationship of the shear wave velocity and dynamic elastic modulus (Edynamic) of the SASW were found to be in good correlation with bearing capacity obtained by the DCP.

Abstract

The creation of a transportation system that ensures the movement of people, vehicles, or goods in a smooth, safe, fast, cheap, convenient, and environmentally friendly way has been the goal of country development. An increase in traffic volume will cause a change in traffic behavior. Theoretically, there is a fundamental relationship between the flow, speed, and density of traffic. Activities and land use will affect the performance of a variety of roads. Land in Jalan Wates Km 5 is used as commercial and market area that is the center of the crowd. The purpose of this study was to determine: speed, traffic volume, density, capacity, and the relationship between speed, volume and density using Greenshields and Greenberg methods, degree of saturation, and level of service. The study was conducted in one day. The result showed that the capacity of the road is still able to accommodate the volume of existing traffic.

Abstract

Mata pencaharian utama pada Dusun Ceme adalah petani, yang selama ini selalu menggunakan pupuk kimia untuk meningkatkan hasil panennya. Penggunaan pupuk kimia yang terus menerus akan merusak tanah sebagai media pertanian. Sebagian besar warga sebagai petani yang memiliki tanah pertanian yang terbatas, tentu media tanah hasus dijaga kesuburannya. Pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui pelatihan pengolahan tanah dengan biochar akan menjaga kesuburan tanah dan tentunya meningkatkan produksi pertanian. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat melalui kuliah kerja nyata untuk kelompok tani Dusun Ceme Kelurahan Srigading Kecamatan Sanden Kabupaten Bantul dimulai dengan pelatihan penggunaan biochar. Dalam pengabdian masyarakat tersebut juga memberikan bantuan biochar dan alat pengendali gulma. Pelatihan dilakukan oleh ahli pertanian dari UMY terhadap kelompok tani Dusun Ceme. Diskusi kegiatan  berlangsung dalam suasana yang sangat antusias karena selain menjelaskan pengolahan tanah dengan biochar juga tentang pengendalian gulma tanaman.  Hasil dari pengabdian ini adalah pemahaman kelompok tani tersebut bahwa biochar mampu menjaga kesuburan tanah pertanian. Pencampuran pupuk dan biochar juga akan lebih meningkatkan produksi pertanian. Pemahaman kelompok tani meningkat hal pengetahuan kesuburan tanah karena biochar, dari rata-rata tidak paham 60% menjadi rata-rata 90% paham. Dan teknik pencampuran pupuk dan biochar 100% mampu mempraktekkannya.

Abstract

Digital mapping has become a valuable tool for managing and visualizing geographical information. In this context, this community service aims to create a digital map using WebGIS in Mrisi Hamlet. Mrisi requires accurate and efficient mapping of population data to optimize data collection methods. This is to make decisions related to regional development, and map resources such as UMKM. This activity method involves collecting spatial and attribute data through field surveys, remote sensing, and relevant secondary data sources. The data obtained is then processed and compiled into a web-based geographical information system. In developing digital maps, WebGIS was chosen because it provides easy accessibility, interactive data visualization, and the ability to share geographical information with other users. This activity results in a digital map that includes various relevant information about Mrisi Hamlet. The map includes area boundaries, infrastructure, land use, public facilities location, and other related information. These digital maps are internet-based access and use decision-making by local governments, communities, and other related parties.
