Abstract

Ida Anggriani, Fera Indasari; The purpose of this study was to the differences in terms of impulsive buying gender determine consumers at Puncak Toserba Bengkulu. This type of research is a comparative study, carried out to compare the similarities and differences of two or more of the facts and object properties in the framework based on certain carefully. Survey respondents as many as 100 people composed of 50 men and 50 women, samples were taken by purposive random sampling technique. Data collection using questionnaire and analysis methods by means of descriptive and quantitative analyzes using independent samples t test trials. Results of this study indicate that there are differences between the purchase impulsive significant gender beetween men and women at Puncak Toserba Bengkulu by comparison Tsig (0,047) <α (0,05). The average difference for the two groups were between to 1,520 ranged 0,019 until 3,021.Keywords: Impulsive Buying, Gender

Abstract

Effective training in the world of work, definitely requires the right method in improving the basic skills of employees. The appropriate method in building one's potential and competence by providing real experience is the learning by doing method. Learning by doing is an attempt to increase experience and knowledge through a learning process that combines learning while practicing, by prioritizing action rather than theory. The type of research used by the author is a qualitative descriptive approach, a method used to analyze research results, but is not used. to create more mature conclusions. The sources of data obtained in the research carried out are 1. Primary data sources include basic data obtained directly from the research object. 2. Secondary data sources include literature review of research journals. The learning by doing method directly develops affective, cognitive and emotional abilities. By increasing these competencies, students can maximize internships in carrying out their duties, and can become a benchmark or standardization in order to be able to compete in this increasingly wide world of work. Based on the results of the interview, the researcher can conclude that the training provided by the customer case sub unit, Pak Ahmad, in increasing the effectiveness of student internship services, has been quite effective in growing self-confidence and developing the competencies needed to compete in the world of work, although there is a sample of respondents lacking agree with the given method, but overall the interns accept it effectively.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masih rendahnya pemahaman masyarakat terhadap sejarah lokal Kota Palembang serta citra kota yang lebih dikenal sebagai destinasi wisata kuliner dibandingkan wisata budaya dan sejarah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas komunikasi pariwisata dalam meningkatkan minat wisata budaya dan sejarah melalui aktivitas walking tour yang diselenggarakan oleh Palembang Good Guide. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Informan penelitian terdiri dari founder, tour guide, dan wisatawan yang mengikuti kegiatan walking tour. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori AIDDA (Attention, Interest, Desire, Decision, Action) untuk menganalisis efektivitas komunikasi.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi pariwisata yang dilakukan oleh Palembang Good Guide melalui aktivitas walking tour berjalan efektif dalam menarik perhatian, menumbuhkan minat, membangun keinginan, hingga mendorong tindakan wisatawan untuk mengikuti kegiatan wisata budaya dan sejarah. Hal ini didukung oleh penggunaan storytelling yang menarik, interaksi langsung, serta penyampaian informasi yang komunikatif dan edukatif. Dengan demikian, aktivitas walking tour tidak hanya sebagai kegiatan wisata, tetapi juga sebagai media komunikasi pariwisata yang mampu meningkatkan pemahaman dan ketertarikan wisatawan terhadap sejarah dan budaya Kota Palembang.

Abstract

The rapid growth of social media has transformed public communication into a more open and participatory digital space, particularly in expressing criticism toward cultural products through TikTok. One prominent phenomenon is the use of sarcasm in user comments on the animated film One For All: Merah Putih. This study aims to identify the forms and meanings of sarcasm as a strategy of public criticism in digital spaces. The research employs a qualitative approach using critical discourse analysis based on Teun A. van Dijk’s model. Data were collected from user comments on three TikTok videos posted by both media and personal accounts, and analyzed through the dimensions of text structure, social cognition, and social context. The findings reveal that sarcasm is the dominant form of expression in conveying criticism, manifested through irony, exaggerative expressions, and indirect insinuation. The novelty of this study lies in demonstrating that sarcasm functions not only as a linguistic style but also as a mechanism of public evaluation that reflects audience expectations and quality standards toward national animated films. These findings indicate that social media serves as an active discursive space in shaping public perception and opinion dynamics in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the dynamics of independent animation production and the representation of local culture in the animation Cuko Boy. The background of this research is based on the growth of the independent animation industry in Indonesia, which faces various limitations yet is capable of producing creative works rooted in local identity. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation of the production process of Cuko Boy. The data were analyzed using John T. Caldwell’s Production Culture theory and Ferdinand de Saussure’s semiotic approach to examine the relationship between signifier and signified in representing Palembang’s local culture. The results show that the dynamics of independent animation production are characterized by role flexibility, limited resources, and adaptive creative strategies that utilize local culture as a primary identity. The representation of Palembang’s local culture in Cuko Boy is reflected through visual, linguistic, and symbolic elements, such as city icons, traditional cuisine, and local dialect. This study concludes that independent animation is not only a form of entertainment but also a medium for cultural representation and a creative strategy to overcome industrial limitations.

Abstract

The phenomenon of popular culture symbols being used as a medium for socio-political expression has increasingly emerged among young people. This study aims to analyze the meaning of the One Piece flag (Jolly Roger) as a form of cultural resistance within the Nakama Palembang community. This research employs a qualitative approach using a phenomenological method to understand the subjective experiences of individuals in interpreting symbolic actions. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. The findings indicate that the One Piece flag is interpreted not merely as a fictional symbol but as a representation of freedom, solidarity, and resistance against social injustice. The use of this symbol reflects a form of symbolic resistance that is subtle, non-confrontational, and rooted in everyday cultural practices. This study concludes that popular culture plays a significant role as an alternative space for youth to articulate social criticism and construct collective identity.
