Abstract

The objective of this research is to measure the effect of giant salvinia compost and compound fertilizers on growth of cocoa seedlings. This research has been conducted in State Polytechnic of Lampung experimental garden, Rajabasa, Bandar Lampung on December 2014 until May 2015. The method used was a randomized block design (RBD). The factorial pattern consisting of two factors. The first factor was the rate of giant salvinia compost consists of four levels, namely: K0 = 0 g.polybag-1, K1 = 200 g.polybag-1, K2 = 300 g.polybag-1, and K3 = 400 g.polybag-1. The second factor was the rate of compound fertilizer consists of two levels, namely: M0 = 0 g.polybag-1, M1 = 5 g.polybag-1, M2 = 10 g.polybag-1. Data were analyzed by analysis of variance further significantly different if followed by LSD test at the 5% level of accuracy. Observations included plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, root length, dry weight, and ratio of root-shoot dry weight. The results showed that giant salvinia affected on plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, root length, and the ratio of root-shoot dry weight. Compound fertilizer also affected on plant height and number of leaves, stem diameter, root length, and and ratio of root-shoot dry weight. Abstract

This study aims to get a higher cup lump production in rubber plants that are given a stimulant treatment compared to rubber plants that are not given a stimulant. Higher levels of dry rubber in PB 260 that has been given a stimulant compared to the RRIC 100 who has been given a stimulant and clone that provide the best responses to the stimulant. This research was conducted at Afdeling 5 PTPN VII Padang Pelawi starting from March to May 2019. The method used a t-test with PB 260 and RRIC 100 clones. The observed variables were stem girth, tapping angle, tapping depth, tapping thickness, skin consumption, cup production lumps, and dry rubber content. The results obtained by the use of stimulants increased cup lump production in two clones studied, RRIC 100 clones gave the best response to stimulants compared with PB 260 clones.

Abstract

Penelitian dilaksanakan dikebun Pembibitan Jurusan Budidaya Tanaman Perkebunan dan Laboratorium Analisis Politeknik Negeri Lampung pada bulan Oktober 2018 sampai dengan  Maret  2019. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan pola faktorial 3 x 3.  Faktor Faktor pertama adalah komposisi pupuk organik kulit buah kopi yang terdiri dari 3 taraf (42 , 84, dan 168 g.polybag-1  ). Faktor kedua adalah dosis pupuk urea ( 0, 1, dan 2 g.polybag-1  ). Variabel pengamatan adalah tinggi tanaman, jumlah cabang utama, bobot basah tanaman, bobot kering tanaman dan rendemen. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa tidak terdapat pengaruh pemberian , pupuk organik kulit buah kopi dan pemberian pupuk urea  maupun interaksi keduanya.  .  Rendemen tertinggi didapatkan pada perlakuan dosis pupuk 1 g.polybag-1  urea tertinggi  yaitu 2.10%

Abstract

Sugarcane (Saccharum officinarum L.) is a plant that is cultivated to be processed into sugar. However, until now Indonesia has become a sugar importing country because the sugar industry is unable to meet the needs and demand for sugar which continues to increase as well as the high domestic selling price, so that it is necessary to import sugar to meet the demand for sugar in Indonesia. To overcome this is to apply Nitrogen fertilization on sugarcane combined with a companion material in the form of Zeolite. This study aims to obtain the growth and yield of ratoon 2 sugarcane plants by administering Zeolite and the proportion of N fertilizer as well as the interaction between the Zeolite and the proportion of N fertilizer. This study used a Randomized Block Design (RAK) Arranged in a split plot with two treatment factors repeated 3 times with 6 treatment combinations to obtain 18 experimental units. The main plot of Zeolite dosing with Z₀ is without zeolite and Z₁ is 700 kg.ha⁻¹ (equivalent to 0.8 kg.8m kairan⁻¹). Subplot dosage proportions of N fertilizer with P₁ is 100% urea (equivalent to 0.36 kg. 8m caustic⁻¹), P₂ is 80% urea (equivalent to 0.28 kg. 8m caustic⁻¹), and P₃ is 60% urea (equivalent to 0.21 kg. 8m caustic⁻¹). The results of this study indicate that the dose of Zeolite has an effect on all variable parameters of growth observations which include plant height, stem diameter, and number of internodes. As well as plant yields which include stem weight, stem length, brix value and yield. Application of [dose percentage of N fertilizer did not affect the growth and yield of sugarcane plants. There was no interaction between the Zeolite dosage and the proportion of N fertilizer doses on the growth and yield of sugarcane
