Abstract

The rapid development of information technology makes a lot of electronic components used invarious fields. The component that is often used is a microcontroller. The microcontroller is used as theregulator and the automation system. This study aims to design a microcontroller-based water injection (WAI)system on the motorcycle.The experiment was conducted with an experimental method. Object of the research is honda megapro 2009 motorcycle. The design of microcontroller-based WaI done through the following steps: (1) designinga microcontroller-based WaI system using the proximity sensor signals, (2) designing the voltage regulatorcircuit, (3) designing AT89S51 microcontroller circuit, (4) designing injector circuit, (5) designing a series of7-segment display, and (6) making programming the microcontrol ler on the WaI that is used to inject water or amixture of water and methanol into the fuel chamber.The research showed that the microcontroller-based WaI can work correctly when applied tomotorcycles. This system works for injecting water or a mixture of water and methanol into the combustionchamber. Injection is done when the suction valve is open. This condition is known by placing a proximitysensor. On the other hand, the frequency of water or a mixture of water and methanol injection were governedby the microcontroller through the injector.The results showed that the microcontroller-based WaI can work correctly and properly.

Abstract

This reseach aims to study how to improve the student competence by implementation of project work learning method . Specifically this research aims to study the percentage of mastery learning on automotive body practice lecture .This research used PTK ( Classroom Action Research ) and was performed two cycles . The research was conducted in the Mechanical Engineering Department at PTK UNS PTK with 7th semester students . And the student took a course automotive body practice. The number of the student was 34 person. Data was collected by a test or tests of competence . Analysis of the data used descriptive qualitative analysisThe results shows that student competence’s increase in automotive body practice learning. From two cycles , there has been an increase in from 72.85 to be 77.24 . In the second cycle to 70.01 . While the percentage of students who have not passed are also increasing . From 11.8 % to 2.9 % . In the second cycle of 0% .

Abstract

This research aims to implement social learning network "Edmodo" in the lecture . Specifically, It aims to kmow the contribution of Edmodo in learning activity , to know student perceptions of the completeness of the features and theme of Edmodo , and to know the level of satisfaction with the Edmodo service.This research used descriptive methods . The data were taken using the questionnaire and interview . Data obtained from PTM students who take courses in automotive body with the number of 34person. This research used s a descriptive data analysis .The results shows that : 1 ) There are a significant increase in the contribution of Edmodo in lecture. From the data it can be seen 52.94 % are high , and 38.24 % in the very high category . 2 ) Edmodo feature strongly supports the management of teaching and learning . It appears there are 44.12 % of respondents expressed a very high category , and 35.29 % in the very high category , 3 ) Edmodo theme is very userfriendly , so easy in use . There are 67.65 % of the data is known to the high category , and 14.71 % in the very high category . 4 ) Students feel a high level of satisfaction with the Edmodo service. . From the data it can be seen very high category 61.76 % , and 35.29 % are high.

Abstract

The purpose of this research: (1) To investigate battery temperature during charging using batterycharger and electrolyte weight reduction in Yuasa lead acid battery 12V 5Ah liquid vented type before givingbattery life extender technology (Vitta-Q battery vitamin). (2) To investigate battery temperature duringcharging using battery charger and electrolyte weight reduction in Yuasa lead acid battery 12V 5Ah liquidvented type after giving Vitta-Q battery vitamin.This research was used experimental method. The experiment was conducted at the Laboratory ofAutomotive Mechanical Engineering Education Program, the Laboratory of Mechanical Civil EducationProgram, JPTK FKIP UNS Surakarta and the Laboratory of Mathematics and Natural Sciences FMIPA UNSSurakarta which addressed at Ahmad Yani 200 Kartasura. The instruments which used to test were DeltaDT.115K battery charger, Mettler Toledo digital balance, and Perkin Elmer UV/VIS Spectrometer. The researchpopulation were Yuasa 12V 5Ah battery with code number YB5L-B and the research sample were 6 Yuasa 12V5Ah batteries with code number YB5L-B with lifetime of approximately 2 years or 20.000 miles. Thecomparative study descriptive investigation methode was used to analyse the data.Based on this research can be concluded: (1) The measurement on Yuasa lead acid battery 12V 5Ahliquid vented type before giving Vitta-Q battery vitamin during charging using battery charger resulted thetemperature 49 oC and weight of electrolyte 209.5 gr in 230.0 gr electrolytes. (2) The measurement on Yuasalead acid battery 12V 5Ah liquid vented type after giving 2 ml of Vitta - Q battery vitamin per cell duringcharging using battery charger resulted the lowest temperature 40.3 oC and weight of electrolyte 216.4 gr in230.0 gr electrolytes. (3) The measurement on Yuasa lead acid battery 12V 5Ah liquid vented type after giving3.5 ml of Vitta - Q battery vitamin per cell during charging using battery charger resulted the highesttemperature 49.8 oC and weight of electrolyte 208.1 gr in 230.0 gr electrolytes

Abstract

Kegiatan magang merupakan sarana latihan kerja bagi mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan Tehnik Informatika dan Komputer dalam meningkatkan pemahaman, penghayatan, dan keterampilan di bidang keguruan. Program magang dijadikan sebagai salah satu upaya untuk menjembatani antara teori yang diperoleh oleh mahasiswa di bangku perkuliahan dengan kondisi yang sebenarnya di lapangan. Namun terkadang apa yang sudah direncakan tidak berjalan sesuai dengan apa yang terjadi dilapangan. Untuk itu evaluasi magang kependidikan 3 merupakan rangkaian kegiatan yang dilakukan dengan sengaja dan secara cermat untuk mengetahui tingkat keterlaksanaan atau keberhasilan suatu program sebagai dasar membuat keputusan dan mengambil kebijakan untuk menyusun program yang akan dibuat selanjutnya. Peneliti menggunakan metode kualitatif , karena dengan kualitatif dapat menyelidiki, menemukan, menggambarkan, dan menjelaskan pengaruh dari sosial yang tidak dapat dijelaskan, diukur atau digambarkan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Evaluasi CIPP dipilih peneliti sebagai model evaluasi karena evaluasi CIPP bertujuan untuk memperbaiki bukan untuk membuktikan. Magang dilakukan selama 2 bulan merupakan kegiatan belajar dengan berniat untuk membentuk keterampilan, pengetahuan, dan sikap. Magang yang lamanya 2 bulan dirasa cukup mengembangkan kompetensi yang dibutuhkan dengan praktek mengajar terbimbing. Dalam angket sebagian responden menyatakan magang sudah sesuai dengan apa yang sudah direncakan pada SOP magang kependidikan 3, tujuan dari magang juga terpenuhi yaitu mahasiswa dapat mengembangkan kompetensi saat magang disekolah. Dari kesaksian guru pamong mahasiswa melakukan magang dengan baik dan mengajar dengan baik. Apa yang sudah didapatkan dikampus dapat tersampaikan pada praktek mengajar disekolahan, dan mahasiswa mempunya pandangan bagaimana kelak bila menjadi guru yang sesungguhnya.
