Abstract

Sebuah metode spektrofotometri untuk penentuan senyawa kompleks Cu(II)-Ninhidrin telah diteliti. Tahapan pada penelitian ini adalah uji kualitatif ion logam terhadap ninhidrin. Selanjutnya dilakukan optimasi pembentukkan kompleks dengan penentuan panjang gelombang maksimum, variasi pH, perbandingan mol logam : mol ligan Cu(II)-ninhidrin dan variasi waktu. Kemudian dilanjutkan dengan kinerja analitik dengan parameter linearitas, presisi dan limit deteksi. Hasil pengukuran panjang gelombang maksimum dengan spektrofotometer UV-Vis kompleks Cu(II)-ninhidrin mempunyai panjang gelombang 352 nm, pH optimum terjadi pada pH 9, perbandingan mol logam : mol ligan Cu(II)-ninhidrin adalah 1:3, dan kestabilan terjadi pada waktu 30 sampai 40 menit menghasilkan warna kompleks hijau kekuningan. Hasil kinerja analitik diperoleh linieritas (R2), presisi (%RSD) dan limit deteksi berturut-turut adalah 0,9908; 2,93% dan 0,2298 mM.Kata kunci : Cu(II), Ninhidrin, Spektrofotometer UV-Vis

Abstract

Di dalam makalah ini, di lakukan proses fotokatalisis dengan menggunakan komposit Zn-Fe3O4/WO3 . Material komposit Zn-Fe3O4/WO3 di siapkan dan di karakterisasi menggunakan alat-alat instrumentasi dan aplikasinya untuk mendegradasi fenol secara fotokatalitik telah dilakukan. Tujuan penelitian dilakukan dengan mengamati degradasi larutan metilen biru sebagai model polutan organik di bawah penynaran UV-Vis. Tahapan penelitian ini yaitu yang pertama, pembuatan Fe3O4 dengan metode kopresipitasi, yang kedua pembuatan ZnO dengan metode kopresipitasi dan yang terakhir pembuatan Zn-Fe3O4/WO3 melalui reaksi padat-padat kemudian dikarakterisasi menggunakan X-ray Diffraction (XRD) dan Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) serta dilanjutkan dengan proses degradasi metilen biru lalu di karakterisasi dengan Spektrofotometri UV-Vis. Hasil karakterisasi XRD menunjukkan adanya struktur komposit Zn-Fe3O4/WO3. Pada analisa SEM dapat diamati pada Zn-Fe3O4/WO3 terdapat ukuran partikel yang tidak seragam dan cenderung menggumpul serta menempel satu sama lain. Hasil optimasi pada degradasi methylene blue berdasarkan variasi jenis katalis yang digunakan menunjukkan bahwa Zn-Fe3O4/WO3 memiliki aktivitas yang lebih baik dibandingkan Fe3O4, ZnO dan WO3. Lalu pada variasi sumber sinar menunjukkan sinar UV-Vis menghasilkan nilai % degradasi lebih baik. Kata Kunci: Komposit Zn-Fe3O4/WO3, Methylene Blue, Fotokatalitik, Degradasi.

Abstract

Penelitian mengenai pembuatan adsorben dari ampas biji kopi sebagai arang aktif untuk penyerapan zat warna Rhodamin B telah dilakukan. Ampas biji kopi diaktivasi secara fisika terlebih dahulu melalui pemanasan kemudian dilakukan aktivasi secara kimia dengan menggunakan aktivator H3PO4 dan H2SO4. Penentuan uji kualitas arang aktif meliputi penentuan kadar air, kadar abu, kadar zat terbang (Volatile Matter), daya serap iodium dan daya serap metilen biru pada adsorben ampas biji kopi dilakukan dengan menggunakan alat tanur. Hasil uji kualitas arang aktif ampas biji kopi meliputi kadar air (9,09%; 3,32% dan 3,84%), kadar abu (5,21%; 2,32% dan 3,08%), kadar Volatile matter (34,72%; 34,44% dan 41,63%), daya serap iodum (362,80 mg/g; 362,44 mg/g dan 247,97 mg/g) dan daya serap metilen biru (1,45 mg/g; 0,79 mg/g dan 0,82 mg/g). Hasil penentuan waktu kontak optimum, yaitu 45 menit. Pada penentuan massa optimum, yaitu 0,2 gram. Pada penentuan pH optimum, yaitu pH 7 dan pada penentuan kapasitas adsorpsi maksimum, yaitu 4,43 mg/g; 0,46 mg/g dan 0,58 mg/g. Kata Kunci: Arang Aktif, Adsorpsi, Rhodamin B, Ampas Kopi.

Abstract

Validation method of ammonia (NH3) determination in ambient air with the ion-selective electrode (ESI) method has been carried out. The purpose of this study is to determine linearity, accuracy, precision, method detection limits, and selectivity. The performance characteristics of the method are determined using standard ammonium chloride solutions. The instrument used to detect ammonia levels is the ion analyzer. The results in the linearity test show an r2 value of 0.9999. Accuracy test results show recovery values in the range of 88.86 to 100.48%. The precision of this method has a value of % RSD smaller than 2/3 CV Horwitz.. The detection limit value of the method was 0.0224 mg/L. The presence of interference ions such as SO2 and NO2 does not affect the measurement of ammonia concentrations. The results of the validation test show that the method used can be used to determine ammonia concentrations in ambient air.

Abstract

Adsorption of Cadmium Heavy Metal (Cd) by Coffee Waste from Coffee Shops has been carried out. The purpose of this study was to determine the optimum contact time, optimum pH and maximum adsorption capacity and the type of adsorption isotherm on the adsorption of cadmium by coffee grounds. In the preparation stage, the coffee grounds were rinsed using boiling distilled water several times, then sieved using a 60 mesh sieve, the adsorption process in this study used the Batch method. Cadmium metal was analyzed using Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS). The results showed that the optimum time was optained at 30 minutes, the optimum pH was at pH 6 and the maximum adsorption capacity was 66,74 mg/g. The type of adsorption isotherm obtained is Freundlich isoterm. Keywords: Adsorption, coffee grounds, cadmium.

Abstract

Synthesis of Fe3O4-coffee grounds as an adsorbent for methylene blue has been carried out. This study aims to determine the optimum contact time, optimum pH and maximum adsorption capacity and to determine the type of adsorption isotherm on methylene blue adsorption using Fe3O4-coffee grounds composite. This research method was carried out experimentally. The first step was the synthesis of the Fe3O4-coffee grounds composite using the coprecipitation method with a mass ratio of FeCl3.6H2O: (NH4)2Fe(SO4)2.6H2O: Coffee ground (2:2:7). The next step is to determine the optimum contact time, optimum pH and maximum adsorption capacity. The concentration of methylene blue was analyzed using a UV-Vis Spectrophotometer. The results obtained for determining the optimum contact time is 20 minutes with the optimum pH at pH 8 and has a maximum adsorption capacity of 79.85 mg/g. Abstract

The adsorption of cadmium ions (Cd2+) using adsorbent from tea waste by column method has been carried out. The purpose of this study is to utilize tea waste as an adsorbent to adsorb cadmium ions. The preparation tea waste was washed with hot water until the filtrate is colorless, then the dried tea waste was crushed and sieved using a 60 mesh sieve. In this study, the adsorption process used the batch method and column method. Determination of metal ions concentration of cadmium complexed with dithizone and measured with UV-Vis spectrophotometer at 518 nm. The optimum conditions of cadmium metal adsorption using adsorbent from tea waste by batch method at 10-minute contact time, pH 10, and the maximum adsorption capacity of 157.1282 mg/g. The adsorption process with optimum column method at 4.10 mL/minute flow rate and the maximum adsorption capacity of 68.8817 mg/g. The cadmium metal ions adsorption process follows the Langmuir isotherm type. Keywords: Adsorption, Tea Waste, Cadmium, Column Method.

Abstract

Tea waste adsorbent can be utilized for cadmium metal adsorption. The aim of this study was to determine the optimumcontact time, optimum pH, and maximum adsorption capacity using the batch method and the dip method. The concentration of cadmium was determined by complexing using dithizone and measured using a UV-Vis spectrophotometer at a wavelength oh 518 nm. The results were obtained in the batch method at the optimum contact tme of 10 minutes, the optimum pH of 10, and teh maximum adsorption capacity of 157,1282 mg/g. in the dip method the optimum contact time was 30 minutes, and the maximum adsorption capcity was 76,7932 mg/g. the type of isotherm obtained on the adsorption of cadmium metal oh the tea dregs adsorbent was the Langmuir isotherm.
