Abstract

This research is proposed to find out the response of growth and yield of paddy rice situ bagendit variety by tillage of land ground and frequency of weeding. It was conducted at Dinas Pertanian UPT BBI, Tanjung Selamat with a height of 57 m above sea level on March until June 2012 with the soil which has ever tillage before, by using a Randomized Block Design of two factors, they are tillage of land ground (no tillage, two tillage and three tillage) and frequency of weeding (weeding 7 day, 14 day, 21 day and weeding full). The parameters observed were plant’s height, numbers of tiller, numbers of panicle, percentage shell of empty rice, number shell of rice containt, production shell of rice contain, 1000 grain weight, production shell of plot weight dry root and weight dry paddy stem. The results showed that tillage of land ground and frequency of weeding showed significant effects on plant’s height of 6 MST, numbers of tiller of 4 MST, numbers of tiller of 8 MST, percentage shell of empty rice, weight dry root and weight dry paddy stem.   Key words : paddy rice, soil tillage , weeding

Abstract

The effect of Planting Media Compound  and Biokom biofertilizer to Growth of   Cacao (Theobroma cacao L.) in Nursery, supervised by Ir. BALONGGU SIAGIAN MS dan Ir SANGGAM SILITONGA. The design of the experiment was randomized block design arranged in factorial with two factors. The first factor was planting media, 100% Subsoil Ultisol + 0% EOPB Compost, 75% Subsoil Ultisol + 25% EOPB Compost, 50% Subsoil Ultisol + 50% EOPB Compost, 25% Subsoil Ultisol + 75% EOPB Compost. The second factor is Biokom biofertilizer, 0 g/polibag, 3 g/polibag, 6 g/polibag, 9 g/polibag. The Parameter observed includes plant height (cm), number leafs (sheet), diameter of stem (mm), total of broad leaf (cm2), fresh and dry weight of crown (g) fresh and dry weight of root (g). The result of research showed that planting media influential significantly to plant height 12 and 14 weeks after planted, number leafs 8, 10, 12, 14 weeks after planted, diameter of stem 8, 10, 12, 14 weeks after planted, fresh and  dryweight of crown. Present of manure in fluential not significantly on plant height, number of leafs ,diameter of stem, total of broad leaf, fresh and  dryweight of crown and freshweight of root. Interaction between planting media and present of fertilizer influential not significantly on plant height, number of leafs ,diameter of stem, total of broad leaf, fresh and  dryweight of crown and freshweight of root.   Key Words : Empty Oil Palm Bunch (EOPB) Compost, Biokom Biofertilizer, Cacao, Nursery

Abstract

This research aims to test the response of seedling growth of cocoa (Theobroma cacao L) againstNPKMg fertilizer (15: 15: 6: 4) and the filter cake compost on soil media subsoild Ultisol. Thisresearch using randomized block design (RBD) factorial with 2 (two) treatment factors. The firsttreatment is: Compost filter cake with 4 level: M0 = subsoil Ultisol + compost filter cake (5kg+ 0 kg), M1 = subsoil Ultisol + compost filter cake (3.75 kg + 1.25 kg), M2 = subsoil Ultisol +compost filter cake (2.5 kg + 2.5 kg) , M3 = subsoil Ultisol + compost filter cake (1.25 kg+ 3.75 kg). The second factor, namely: Fertilizer dose NPKMg follows: P0 = 0 g / polybag,P1 = 3 g / polybag, P2 = 6 g / polybag and P3 = 9 g / polybag. Parameters measured wereseedling height, stem diameter, number of leaves, total leaf area, canopy wet weight, dry weightcrown, root wet weight and dry weight of roots. The result showed that the treatment effect is notreal compost filter cake growth of cocoa seedlings. NPKMg fertilizer treatment significantlyinfluenced all parameters were observed, namely: plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves,canopy wet weight, dry weight crown, root wet weight and dry weight of roots. Interactionblotong compost and fertilizer NPKMg unreal effect on the growth of cocoa seedlings..Keywords: cocoa seeds, compost and fertilizer blotong NPKMg

Abstract

The response of cocoa seedlings growth for giving municipal waste compost and P fertilizer. Thedesign of the experiment was randomized block design arranged in factorial with two factors. Thefirst factor is municipal waste compost, Subsoil ultisol 5 kg + municipal waste compost 0 kg,Subsoil ultisol 3,75 kg + municipal waste compost 1,25 kg, Subsoil ultisol 2,5 kg + municipal wastecompost 2,5 kg, Subsoil ultisol 1,25 kg + municipal waste compost 3,75 kg. The second factorpresent of Phosphat Fertilizer, 0 g/polibag, 2 g/polibag, 4 g/polibag, 6 g/polibag. The Parameterobserved includes plant hight (cm), number leafs (sheet), diameter of stem (mm), total of broad leaf(cm2), fresh and dry weight of crown (g), fresh and dry weight of root (g).The result of reseach showed that municipal waste compost influential significantly on plantheight, number of leafs, diameter of stem, total of broad leaf, fresh and dry weight of crown, freshand dry weight of root. P fertilizer was significantly on total of broad leaf. Interaction between ofmunicipal waste compost and P fertilizer was not significantly to all parameters.Key words : cacao, compost, phosphat

Abstract

Response of Cacao (Theobroma cacao L.) Seedlings Growth on Application of Vermicompost andP Fertilizer. The research was conducted to determine response of cacao seedlings growth onapplication of vermicompost and P fertilizer. The research carried out at Faculty of AgricultureUSU’s Experiment Land with a height of 25 metre above sea level on August until November 2012by using Randomized Block Design of two factors which is the first factors were vermicompost(0%, 25%, 50%, 75%) and the second factor were P fertilizer (0, 2, 4, 6 g/plant). The parametersobserved were seedling height, leaf number, stem diameter, total of leaf area, seedling wet weight,seedling dry weight, root wet weight, root dry weight and shoot root ratio. The results showed thatvermicompost has significant effects on seedling height, leaf number and seedling dry weight. Theapplication of P fertilizer and interaction of them had no significant effects on all parametersobserved.Key words : vermicompost, phosphat, cacao

Abstract

Coconut water is good in increasing the plant’s growth because it containsfitohormon and several growth vitamins. The right dosage of NPKMg fertilizationcan maximize the growth of cacao seedling. This research was conducted in desaTanjung Selamat kecamatan Medan Sunggal, start on January 2012 and end onMay 2012. The design used was a factorial randomized block design with twotreatment factors. The first factor is the duration of soaking in coconut water in 4stages, which are K0 (0 hour), K1 (6 hours), K2 (12 hours), dan K3 (18 hours).The second factor are the application of NPKMg fertilizer (15:15:6:4) in 4 stages:which are: P0 (0 g), P1 (7 g), P2 (14 g), P3 (21 g). The soaking of cocoa seeds incoconut water has significant effect on plant height and number of leaves.Interaction between soaking of cocoa seeds in coconut water and NPKMgfertilizer application has no significant effect on all parameters.Key words : coconut water, NPKMg fertilizer, cocoa, growth and production

Abstract

The Response of Cocoa Seedlings Growth (Theobroma cacao L.) for Giving Palm Bunch Ash andUrea Fertilizer in The Media of Nursery. The research was conducted in the field UPT BBI,Tanjung Selamat at an altitude ± 57 meters above sea level since May 2012 until August 2012 usingRandomized Block Design (RBD) factorial with two factors. The first factor is palm bunch( 0, 10, 20, and 30 g/polybag). The second factor is urea fertilizer (0, 3, 6, and 9 g/polybag).The Parameter observed includes plant hight (cm), number leafs (sheet), and fresh weight ofcrown (g.) The result of reseach showed that giving palm bunch ash influential not significantly toall parameters. Abstract

ABSTRACTGrowth of Cocoa Seedlings (Theobroma cacao.L) In Media Ultisol Subsoil with FertilizerProvision NPKMg(15:15:6:4) and Manure. This research aims to determine the effect of manureand fertilizier NPKMg(15:15:6:4) on the growth of cocoa (Theobroma cacao.L) in media landultisol subsoil. Research carried out in field trials USU Faculty of Agriculture, Medan with altitudeof about 25 meters above sea level at the beginning of November until March 2012. Experimentalmethod use is a randomized block design with two treatment factor. Planting media as the firstfactor with five standard treatment that is 0% Manure + 100% Ultisol Subsoil, 25% Manure + 75%Ultisol Subsoil, 50% Manure + 50% Ultisol Subsoil, 75% Manure + 25% Ultisol Subsoil, 100%Manure + 0% Ultisol Subsoil and fertilizer NPKMg(15:15:6:4) as the second factor with four levelis 0 g/polibag, 4 g/polibag, 8 g/polibag and 12 g/polibag with 3 replications. Parameter wereobserved at high parameters of shoots, girth, number of leaves, the aweight of wet canopy, wetweight of roots, canopy dry weight, and root dry weight. The results that 75% Manure + 25%Ultisol Subsoil showed the best results at high parameters of shoots, girth, number of leaves, theaweight of wet canopy, wet weight of roots, canopy dry weight, and root dry weight. NPKMgfertilizier(15:15:6:4) in this study showed significant results in all parameters, but obtained at thehighest treatment level 8 g/polibag and 12 g/polibag. Abstract

Research on title The Growth of Cacao (Theobroma cacao L.) Seedling by Using NPK Fertilizer.This research was held in resident area in Tanjung Sari from December 2012 to April 2013. Theobjective of the research was to study the effect of NPK fertilizer, biofertilizer and their interactionon cacao growth. Experiment design was arranged in group randomized design with 2 factor. Thefirst factor was rate of NPK fertilizer, consisted of 4 level: P0 (0 gram), P1(7,5 gram), P2(15gram),P3 (22,5 gram). The second factor was rate of biofertilizer, consisted 4 level : B0 (0gram), B1 (10 gram), B2 (20 gram), B3 (30 gram). Parameters observed consist of plant height(cm), the amount of leaf (sheet), stem diameter (cm), total leaf area (cm2), shoot wet weight (g),shoot dry weight (g), root wet weight and root dry weight (g).The results showed that by usingbiofertilizer affected significantly for the amount of leaf, shoot wet weight and shoot dry weight.NPK fertilizer and their interaction effect was not significant on all parameters were observed.Keywords: cacao, NPK fertilizer , biofertilizer

Abstract

Research on title the growth and yield of shallot on different soil tillage and giving NPK fertilizerthis research was to determine growth and yield of Shallot on different soil tillage and Giving NPKfertilizer. This research had been conducted at Farm Resident on street Pasar I number 89, TanjungSari, Medan at ± 25 m asl from May until July 2013 using split plot design with two factor, i.e. SoilTillage (once tillage and twice tillage) and dose of NPK fertilizer (0; 0,6; 1,2; 1,8 and 2,4 g/ plant).Parameter observed were plant height, tillers number per sample, leaves number per sample, clovenumber per sample, wet weight tuber per sample, wet weight tuber per plot, dry weight tuber persample, dry weight tuber per plot and dry weight root per sample. The result showed different soiltillage treatment significantly affected on wet weight tuber per sample and dry weight tuber persample. NPK fertilizer treatment significantly effected on parameters plant height, wet weighttuber per sample, wet weight tuber per plot, dry weight tuber per sample and dry weight tuber perplot. The interaction of two factor not significantly affected all of parameter observed.Keywords : Soil Tillage, NPK Fertilizer, Shallot
