Abstract

This article discussed the phonemic correspondence in Sundanese and Javanese using a historical comparative linguistic approach. The problem to be examined in this study is the form of phonemic correspondence in Sundanese and Javanese. The purpose of this study was to determine the phonemic correspondence sets in the comparison between Sundanese and Javanese. The method used in this research to analyze the data is the phonemic correspondence method. The correspondence method is used to find the relationship between languages ​​in the field of language sounds (phonology). Phonemic correspondence is used to determine regular phonemic changes in the languages ​​being compared. Data collection used interview techniques, note techniques and recording techniques. After the data is collected, then the data is classified according to the problem being studied and grouped into more specifics. After that, conclusions will be made based on the results of the data analysis. The data source obtained comes from 200 swadesh vocabularies in Sundanese and Javanese. From 200 swadesh vocabulary data found 49 data included in phonemic correspondence which is divided into 12 correspondence sets. The results of this study include the formation of correspondences in Sundanese and Javanese, namely, (ɛ ~ i) and (i ~ ɛ), (a ~ ɔ) and (ɔ ~ a), (d ~ D), (t ~ T) , (ɤ ~ ə), (b ~ w), (ɔ ~ u) and (ɔ ~ U), (i ~ I), (ø ~ h) and (h ~ ø), (ø ~ m), and (a ~ ə).

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan jenis deiksis persona pertama yang terdapat dalam surat Al-Mulk Tafsīr berbahasa Sunda Rauḍatul ‘Irfān Fī Ma’rifatil Qur’ān dan memaparkan tentang berbagai macam fungsi acuan dari setiap deiksis persona pertama yang ditemukan pada setiap data. Dalam data penelitian ini, peneliti menganalisis mengenai jenis dan fungsi acuan deiksis persona pertama sebagai objek penelitian. Adapun metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode dekriptif kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil dari analisis yang telah dilakukan, peneliti telah menemukan penggunaan berbagai jenis deiksis persona pertama tunggal (الإِشَارَةُ الشَّخْصِيَّةُ لِلْمُتَكَلِّمِ وَحْدَهْ) dan deiksis persona pertama jamak (الإِشَارَةُ الشَّخْصِيَّةُ لِلْمُتَكَلِّمِ مَعَ الغَيْرِ) yang terdapat dalam surat Al-Mulk Tafsīr berbahasa Sunda Rauḍatul ‘Irfān Fī Ma’rifatil Qur’ān di antaranya mencakup lima jenis, yaitu deiksis persona pertama jamak bermakna tunggal (Aing), deiksis persona pertama jamak bermakna jamak (Abdi Sadaya), deiksis persona pertama tunggal bermakna tunggal (Kaula), dan deiksis persona pertama jamak bermakna jamak (Kaula Sarerea). Sedangkan dalam hal bentuk di antaranya mencakup deiksis persona pertama bentuk terikat ‘Muttaṣilun’ (مُتَّصِلٌ) berjumlah 15 data dan deiksis persona pertama bentuk terpisah ‘Munfaṣilun’ (مُنْفَصِلٌ) berjumlah 1 data. Adapun fungsi acuan mengacu kepada Allah berjumlah 1 acuan, kepada Nabi Muhammad berjumlah 2 acuan, kepada orang-orang Kafir berjumlah 2 acuan, dan kepada Nabi Muhammad beserta ummatnya berjumlah 2 acuan.ABSTRACTThis study aims to describe the type of first person deixis contained in the Sundanese Surah Al-Mulk Tafsr Rauḍatul 'Irfān Fī Ma'rifatil Qur'ān and describe the various reference functions of each first person deixis found in each data. In this research data, the researcher analyzes the types and functions of the first person deixis reference as the object of research. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. Based on the results of the analysis that has been carried out, researchers have found the use of various types of singular first person deixis (الإِشَارَةُ الشَّخْصِيَّةُ لِلْمُتَكَلِّمِ وَحْدَهْ) and plural first person deixis (الإِشَارَةُ الشَّخْصِيَّةُ لِلْمُتَكَلِّمِ مَعَ الغَيْرِ) contained in the Sundanese Surah Al-Mulk Tafsīr Rauḍatul F'Irfān. Ma'rifatil Qur'ān of which includes five types, namely the first person deixis plural singular (Aing), first person deixis plural meaning plural (Abdi Sadaya), first person deixis singular singular (Kaula), and first person deixis plural meaning plural (Kaula Sarerea). Meanwhile, in terms of form, it includes the first person deixis of the bound form 'Muttaṣilun' (مُتَّصِلٌ) totaling 15 data and the first personal deixis of the separate form 'Munfaṣilun' (مُنْفَصِلٌ) amounting to 1 data. The reference function refers to Allah in the amount of 1 reference, to the Prophet Muhammad there are 2 references, to the Kafirs there are 2 references, and to the Prophet Muhammad and his ummah there are 2 references.
