Abstract

Education in Indonesia is still dominated by the view that knowledge of the facts that must be memorized. This has resulted in students becoming passive learners. Therefore, teachers are expected to select and apply the learning model appropriate to the situation and condition of learning. This is done to avoid failing students in learning, due to a lack of understanding of the concept as a whole. Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL), as the concept of learning strategies that help teachers link between what is taught by the empirical facts known to the students and encourage students to create relationships through the application of knowledge in everyday life.The problem in this study are: (1) Learning by Utilizing CTL Model Environment as a Learning Resource IPS experimental class could be better than the conventional model in classroom learning control (2) Is the student response to learning with the use CTL as the Source of Learning Environment IPS better than Using Conventional.The design of such studies are experimental research with two groups pretest-posttest design. The subjects were students of class VII SMP Yadika Bangil Pasuruan the number of 25 students for each class experimental and control classes. The instrument used to collect data include questionnaires, achievement test, observation, and documentation. Data analysis using SPSS 17 software. Based on a statistical analysis of the study showed that there is a significant difference between the improvement of student learning outcomes in the classroom experiments with the control class. In more detail the following results were obtained: (1) The results show completeness minimal thorough standart (KKM) student learning after the learning process using CTL model to use the environment as a source of social studies with a completeness of 88%, (2) the activity of the students participating in learning activities with CTL using the environment as a learning resource better than the students who take conventional learning, (3) Students responded positively to the application of learning CTL model by using the environment as a source of learning, (4) barriers were found during the study that although a small percentage of his lack of time (lesson 2 hours x 40 minutes) so that students who have not completed the task in school serve as homework. Based on these findings it can be concluded that the CTL model by using the environment as a learning resourcein learning the topic of population and economic activity patterns of land use based on the physical condition of the Earth’s surface can improve student learning outcomes SMP Yadika Bangil.

Abstract

This study aims to develop interactive learning media based on edutainment in the civic education course for Indonesian Language Study Program students at IKIP Budi Utomo Malang. Whereas the research target can be used as a role model for citizenship education teachers in Malang in developing edutainment-based interactive learning media in schools. The research development model uses ADDIE which consists of five main phases, namely (A) analysis, (D) essay, (D) development, (I) implementation, and (E) valuation. Analysis (analysis) analyzes the need for the development of new learning media and analyzes the feasibility and requirements for developing new learning media, Design (design) is a systematic process that starts from determining learning themes, learning objectives, selecting media elements such as text, audio, visual and videos, designing learning materials and learning outcome evaluation tools, Development (development) In the development stage, the conceptual framework is realized into a product that is ready to be implemented. Implementation At this stage a learning media design that has been developed in real situations is implemented. namely in class, Evaluation (assessment) Evaluation is used to measure how far students master the learning material. The results of this study indicate that the Edutainment-Based Interactive Learning Media developed in the civic education course using the Android program has valid and feasible criteria for use. Learning carried out by implementing Edutainment-Based Interactive Learning Media can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of the connected model with the MK Citizenship Education problem-based approach to improve critical thinking skills (1) to describe student activities while attending lectures using the connected model with a problem-based approach; (2) describe student responses after applying the connected model with a problem-based approach. The research design is classified as experimental research with a two group pretest-posttest research design. The research subjects were Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program Students class of 2022 with a total of 25 students for each experimental class and control class. Instruments used to collect data include questionnaires, learning achievement tests, observation, and documentation. Data analysis using SPSS 17 software program. Based on the results of inferential statistical analysis, it was found that there was a significant difference between the increase in student learning outcomes in the experimental class and the control class. In more detail, the research results were obtained as follows: (1) The results of the activities of students who took part in connected model lecture activities with a problem-based approach were better than students who took conventional lectures; (2) Students give a positive response to the application of the connected model; Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the connected model with a problem-based approach can improve the critical thinking skills of Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program students.
