Abstract

The film Like & Share (2022) written and directed by Gina S Noer, is a film that discusses sexual violence experienced by women, especially teenagers. The aim of this research is to describe how women's voices are represented regarding sexual violence and to find out the dominant ideology contained in the film Like & Share (2022). The theory used is Standpoint Theory which is supported by radical feminism. In this research, the application of John Fiske's semiotic analysis is carried out through 3 levels of coding, namely the level of reality, representation and ideology. From the research results, it was found that there were female voices in the film Like & Share (2022). Women's voices can be seen at the level of reality in aspects of appearance, behavior, expression, gestures, speech, make-up and environment. Then the woman's voice at the level of reality is emphasized by the level of representation which contains elements of camera, editing, music, sound effects and lighting. So from the reality level and representation level, it is found that there is a feminist ideology, namely radical feminism. However, of the total of 66 scenes, only 13 scenes in this film show female voices. This shows that this film is still lacking in presenting women's voices even though the initial aim of making Like & Share was as a campaign to eliminate violence against women. This film still shows the existence of patriarchal ideology and the use of a male perspective in the film.

Abstract

Subsidized housing has become one of the programs facilitating individuals to own homes. West Java is the region with the highest demand for subsidized housing in Indonesia. This situation has led to an oversupply in the area. Additionally, almost all developers employ similar marketing and communication strategies on social media platforms. The issues surrounding marketing strategies and communication on social media are related to how marketing teams communicate their subsidized housing products, such as choosing the appropriate social media platform for the product and the form of communication, such as images, videos, and copywriting. This has resulted in competition among subsidized housing developers in West Java. The results indicate that there is no significant influence of Facebook exposure as a marketing medium on the decision to purchase subsidized housing in Perumahan Tapos Sejuk, Kab. Sukabumi. Furthermore, no significant influence was found between potential consumers' perceivced quality of subsidized housing products and the decision to purchase subsidized housing in Perumahan Tapos Sejuk, Kab. Sukabumi

Abstract

Indonesia is renowned for its cultural diversity, encompassing various ethnic groups, languages, cultures, and religions. According to the 2010 Population Census by the Central Statistics Agency, there are 1,340 ethnic groups and 720 languages. However, the 2020 Population Census revealed a decline in the use of regional languages among the younger generation. This cultural diversity is showcased in the music video "Wonderland Indonesia 2: The Sacred Nusantara (Chapter 2)" by Alffy Rev. Preliminary research on the viewers’ reactions and comments indicates that audiences often struggle to grasp the messages and meanings behind the representation of Indonesia’s cultural diversity directly. This study aims to understand how viewers interpret the cultural diversity of Indonesia as portrayed in the music video "Wonderland Indonesia 2: The Sacred Nusantara (Chapter 2)." This research employs a constructivist paradigm, utilizing representation theory and Kluckhohn’s cultural elements, which include the language system, knowledge system, kinship and social organization system, living equipment and technology system, economic system, religious system, and art. The study adopts an audience meaning analysis approach to comprehend the viewers' interpretations and positioning regarding the cultural messages conveyed, based on Stuart Hall's three positions of decoding: Dominant, Negotiated, and Oppositional. The findings indicate that the audience has diverse interpretations of this music video, influenced by their cultural backgrounds and knowledge. Most informants adopt a dominant position in interpreting the cultural diversity of Indonesia; however, some informants have differing and critical interpretations of the dominant meaning
