Abstract

Kesehatan rongga mulut sangat penting bagi tubuh, jika kebersihan mulut tidak dipelihara dengan baik, maka akan menimbulkan berbagai penyakit di rongga mulut, seperti penyakit periodontal serta karies gigi yang diakibatkan dari kebersihan gigi dan mulut yang buruk, maka dari itu diperlukan edukasi tentang kesehatan gigi dan mulut agar terhindar dari penyakit gigi dan mulut, apalagi dimasa pandemi Covid-19 harus memerhatikan kesehatan gigi dan mulutnya. Salah satu cara memberi edukasi adalah dengan pendekatan daring secara online. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui evektifitas penyuluhan pendidikan kesehatan gigi dengan metode daring terhadap sikap selama pandemi Covid-19. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Quasi Eksperimen dengan rancangan Control Group Design. Sampel diambil secara purposive sampling yaitu, yaitu SD Isola kelas 4A dan 4B. Analisis bivariate menggunakan uji Man-Whitney. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penyuluhan pendidikan kesehatan gigi dengan metode daring terhadap sikap efektif dengan nilai sig p 0,012 (0,05) yang berarti ada perubahan bermakna, sedangkan nilai untuk kelompok kontrol nilai sig p 0,976 (0,05) yang berarti tidak ada perubahan bermakna, data tersebut menggunaka confidence interval 95%. Melihat hasil tersebut maka metode penyuluhan kesehatan gigi anak sekolah dasar dengan metode daring efektif untuk meningkatkan sikap tentang kesehatan gigi.

Abstract

Health Teeth and mouth are very important for everyone, but there are still many people who still ignore it and think that dental and oral health are trivial things. This is related to the mother's knowledge about brushing teeth. This study aims to describe the mother's knowledge about brushing teeth in children aged 6-12 years in the dental polyclinic of Tanjungsari Public Health Center, Sumedang Regency. This research is descriptive quantitative with Questionnaire method. The research was carried out at the Dental Polyclinic of Tanjungsari Public Health Center, Sumedang Regency. The study was conducted on mothers who have children aged 6-12 years with a sample of 28 respondents who were determined using the slovin formula. Primary data obtained from the questionnaire will be presented in the form of a frequency distribution table with the results of the study showing knowledge about brushing teeth as a whole, namely 21.4% of respondents have good criteria, 46.4% have sufficient criteria, and 32.1% have poor criteria. Although almost most mothers who have children aged 6-12 years have sufficient knowledge of the criteria, there are still some who have less criteria. In order to achieve optimal dental and oral health, the knowledge of brushing teeth at the dental clinic at the Tanjungsari Public Health Center needs to be improved through various efforts, one of which is by providing counseling about brushing teeth.

Abstract

Dental stains are colors that stick to the surface of the teeth, usually due to the color of food, drink, or nicotine content, especially the substance that produces dental stains. Smoking habits can cause stains (stains on teeth), where cigarette smoke containing various substances sticks to the tooth surface which over time will make the tooth surface feel rough. The purpose of the study was to determine the description of tooth staining (stain) in the smokers community in RT 12 Perum Gramapuri Tamansari Kab. Bekasi. This type of research is descriptive research. This research method is a cross sectional study which was conducted in May-June 2022 on 40 people in RT.12 Perum Gramapuri Bekasi Regency. The habit of consuming cigarettes was obtained through interviews using a questionnaire, while stains on teeth were measured through observation. The data is processed and presented in the form of a frequency distribution table. The results of the study found that the most frequent smoking frequency was moderate category smokers with the number of cigarettes smoked 11-20 cigarettes per day. Based on the frequency of smoking, the formation of stains on the teeth is most common in smokers with the moderate category.

Abstract

Background: The prevalence of residents in West Java Province who have had dental health problems in the past year for those aged ≥ 3 years has reached 48%. One oral health problem that can reduce quality of life is ranula. Ranula is a cyst of the floor of the mouth that occurs due to damage to the sublingual salivary gland duct or the submandibular duct. Ranula is usually not painful, the most common complaint expressed by clients is a feeling of fullness in the mouth and a raised tongue. The consequences of ranula are not met human needs, including not being free from disease risks and not being met the integrity of skin tissue and mucous membranes in the neck and head. In addition, there is also not being free from pain in the neck and head.Objective: To determine the management of perioperative dental and oral health care for client An. R (3 years old) with a case of ranula at Dr. Hasan Sadikin General Hospital, Bandung.Methods: The management of dental and oral health care includes the stages of assessment, perioperative diagnosis, perioperative planning, perioperative implementation, perioperative evaluation and documentation.,Results: The eight basic needs of the client were fulfilled after perioperative dental and oral health care was carried out on client An. R (3 years old) with a ranula case.Conclusion: The assessment revealed swelling under the tongue (ranula), irritation on the upper tongue, caries on tooth 61, and a plaque score of 25%. Seven basic needs were unmet. The procedures included removal of the ranula using marsupialization under general anesthesia and placement of a composite resin filling on tooth 61, education on anxiety reduction, the causes of ranula and its treatment, and the causes of caries. Oral physiotherapy training on modified bass toothbrushing techniques was also provided.

Abstract

Street children are children who spend most of his time on the streets to work, play or activities of another. Street children live in the streets because of the dumped or get dumped from the family who is not able to bear the burden because of poverty, most of the time spent on the streets, so to pay attention to the health of the teeth and mouth are very limited. This research aims to know the description of the status of the health of the teeth and the mouth on the street children in Bandung. This type of research is descriptive research. The study population was all street children in Bandung. The research sample was taken by purposive sampling technique with a total sample of 16 people. After that, the resulting data processed and presented in the form of frequency distribution tables. The results showed that the average Index of oral hygiene on street children in Bandung City has the criteria of OHI-S bad (56,25%), The DMF-T on street children Bandung has averaged 7.4 DMF-T with very high criteria, meaning that each child of the streets, with an average of 7-8 caries on teeth permanent.
