Abstract

This research was conducted to determine changes in the area of built land and the direction of development of the city of Kendari in 2039 by using Landsat imagery at different times in Kendari City in 1999, 2009, and 2019. The method used is digital interpretation technique using NDBI algorithm (Normalized Difference Built-Up Index) to obtain building density information. Overlay analysis is used to determine changes in the density of built land over the past 20 years and Cellular Automata analysis to predict the density of built up land in the next 20 years. Testing the accuracy of the sample utilizes the confusion matrix on the actual constructed land density information in 2019. The results obtained in the form of information on the developed land density and its changes in 1999, 2009, and 2019 as well as information on the direction of development of the city of Kendari in the next 30 years. The analysis shows that in the period 1999 to 2009 there was a change of 2,206.09 Ha or as much as 8.17%. Then in the period 2009 to 2019 there was a change of 4,024.25 Ha or 14.90% of the total area of the study. There is a tendency for Kendari City to develop towards Baruga Districts and Puwatu Districts for the next 20 years.

Abstract

The construction of the Kendari-Toronipa road in the Soropia District can have an impact on the economic growth of the community. This research aims to: (1) determine the distribution of community trade facilities along the Kendari-Toronipa Road before construction, during construction, and in operation (2018 - 2022); (2) assess the level of income difference in the community before construction and during operation (2018-2022). Data for this study were obtained through interviews with 91 respondents selected using random sampling method, and then analyzed using economic distribution analysis and paired sample t-test. The findings of this research indicate: (1) the number of economic facilities during construction was 93 units, during the construction phase was 140 units, and during operation was 186 units; (2) The results of the paired sample t test analysis show that before construction and construction which had an increase in income only occurred in Toronipa Village and Leppe Village, then income during construction and operations that received H0 were 8 villages, whereas at the time before construction and operation most of the villages received H0. in Soropia sub-district receive H0, which means there is a significant change in income.

Abstract

Konawe Island Regency was formed in 2013 as a new autonomous entity, with West Wawonii District serving as its capital. As a result, developments in the West Wawonii District have impacted agricultural and non-agricultural land use changes. The study's objectives were to determine land usage in 2011 and 2022, as well as analyze land use patterns from 2011 through 2022. The study made use of SHP Konawe Islands Regency data, BPS data for 2012 and 2022, Landsat 7 and 9 photos, and RBI maps. The Classification And Regression Tree (CART) method is used in this study, which is conducted through the Google Earth Engine. Based on the outcomes of the investigation, the following land use classes were determined for 2011 and 2022: The area of vegetation increased from 5625.36 ha to 7.970.13 ha, the area of open land decreased from 45 ha to 41.76 ha, the area of shrubs decreased from 2.799.99 ha to 1.523.97 ha, the area of mangroves increased from 204.66 ha to 206.91 ha, the area of residential land increased significantly from 58.23 ha to 261.45 ha, and the area of water bodies decreased from 133.44 ha to 126.45 ha.

Abstract

Kendari as the provincial capital, is the political center. Political parties are essential in recruiting legislative candidates to positions of influence. So that, people require information regarding political maps. This study aims to: (1) Analyze the distribution and dynamics of changes in the voting based on the area of the city service center system and the administrative area of Kendari City; (2) Analyze the supporting factors of the winning political party's voting base. This study was conducted based on data elections in 2014 and 2019, data used is secondary data of party vote data, which were examined using spatial analysis, which included percentage analysis and Location Quotient analysis first, followed by qualitative analysis. The findings of this study are (1) PAN received the highest votes in 2014 but was replaced by PKS in 2019. In two periods, the four spatial structures underwent different based changes. The central city, the education center, port and industrial center and the terminal center in 2014 became the base of Demokrat, PDIP, PBB, and PAN while in 2019 was replaced by PKB, PAN, Demokrat, and PKS; (2) Vision, mission, and money politics are the most influential factors supporting a party's victory.

Abstract

Earthquake is one of the disasters that can cause damage and losses to the affected communities. This research was conducted in the Moramo District hills, where an earthquake incident had occurred previously. The objectives of this study are to determine the characteristics of the region based on the parameters of earthquake damage vulnerability and to determine the spatial distribution of earthquake damage-prone zones based on interpolation results. The sample data consisted of microtremor data using the Quota Sampling method at 15 field measurement points and the shapefile of the Southeast Sulawesi Province. The data was processed using the Geopsy application and mapped using the IDW method by calculating the RMSE value to select the best interpolation result. The findings of this study are: The research area is generally vulnerable to damage caused by earthquakes, although the level of vulnerability tends to be low. There are three zones prone to earthquake damage: a low-damage zone covering almost the entire research area (eastern part of Pudaria Jaya, northern Wonua Jaya, western and southern Sumber Sari, and western Ulusena). A moderate-damage zone is located in the northern part of Watu Poramba, Wonua Jaya, and Sumber Sari, as well as western Ulusena. Meanwhile, a high-damage zone is found at T2, located in Pudaria Jaya Village.

Abstract

In 2016 a reservoir was built in Ladongi District East Kolaka Regency which is targeted for completion in 2021. The existence of these reservoirs has an impact on existing land use. The purpose of this study is to analyze land use in 2013 and 2022 and identify changes in land use from 2013 to 2022. The materials used in the research are East Kolaka Regency SHP, 2021 BPS data, Landsat-8 OLI/TIRS imagery and RBI maps. The method used in this study uses the OBIA classification (object base image analysis) processed through ArcGIS 10.8. Based on the research results, land use changes in 2013 and 2022 are as follows: Forest has an area of10,592.60 acre reduced to 9,313.25 acre, open land area of 266.15 acre reduced to 209.70 acre, residential land area 360.84 acre increased to 1,019.53 acre, plantations of 2,461.30 acre experienced a decrease in area to 2,295.31 acre, the area of rice fields increased significantly from 2,059.66 acre to 2,725.44 acre, and water bodies whose initial area was 23.22 acre increased to 169.47 acre.
