Abstract

This research aims to analyze and examine the effect of leadership style of headmaster to teacher discipline at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah of Bulukumba Regency, South Sulawesi. This research is a quantitative research with the ex post facto method. Respondents in this study as much as 92 teachers, taken at random. The data collection techniques used is a questionnaire then analyzed by using regression analysis to examine the hypotheses. The results of this study indicate that the leadership style of headmaster influential positive and significant to teacher discipline with determinants coefficient of 0,305. So, teacher discipline 30,5% influenced by the leadership style of headmaster and 869,5% determined by another factor.

Abstract

This study discusses about the teachers performance in optimizing learning in the Full Day school program at SMAN 22 Makassar. This research was qualitative research.  Data collection methods obtained through observation, interviews and documentation. The data was analyzed by reducing data, presenting data, verifying data, and validating data (triangulation). The result of the research showed that; the first was the teacher performance at SMAN 22 Makassar has improved such as planning, implementation and evaluation. The second was Full Day school at SMAN 22 Makassar about school schedules based on school rules. The third was Effective efforts to optimize learning are carried out by teachers and schools. The teacherteach the learning to the students, gave some motivation and learning methods. The school helps teachers by school rules, teaching and learning process (PBM picket) and controlled by hand master in the school.

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the impact of work motivation on teacher’s performance at the MTsN (State Islamic Senior High School) in Bontotiro District Bulukumba Regency. This research is a quantitative study with the ex post facto method. The participants of this research were 67 teachers from MTsN in Bontotiro District. The method of data collection used was questionnaire then the data were analyzed by using regression analysis to test the research hypothesis. The result of this study showed that: 1) the teacher’s work motivation at MTsN in Bontotiro District was in medium category indicating that the teachers work motivation still need to be improved; 2) the teacher’s performance at MTsN in Bontotiro District was in a medium category indicating that the teacher’s performance was not optimal so it still needs to be improved; and 3) the teacher’s work has significant effect on the teacher’s performance at MTsN in Bontotiro District. Thus, the high strength of the teacher’s performance is determined by the strong of weak motivation it possesses.
