Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana perkembangan kepustakawanan Islam klasik dan bagaimana kontribusinya bagi perkembangan perpustakaan di masa sekarang. Metode yang di gunakan dalam pembuatan artikel ini adalah metode literatur dengan menggunakan beberapa sumber buku dan Jurnal-jurnal mengenai perkembangan perpustakaan pada islam klasik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pada masa kejayaan Islam, perpustakaan menjadi sarana belajar sehingga membuat umat Islam di masa itu mampu membangun sebuah peradaban besar dan bertahan hingga berabad-abad lamanya. Perkembangan perpustakaan ada dan muncul karena adanya kecintaan akan buku-buku dan ilmu pengetahuan oleh para raja-raja dan bangsawan serta kaum intelektual terdahulu. Dengan adanya kecintaan mereka terhadap ilmu pengetahuan maka muncullah namanya perpustakaan sebagai salah satu pusat pendidikan. Berdasarkan dimensi sejarahnya, kontribusi perpustakaan pada masa klasik terhadap perpustakaan yang berkembang dimasa sekarang tentunya memiliki kontribusi yang sangat besar dalam memajukan peradaban dunia di masa sekarang ini. Kontribusinya meliputi berbagai segi baik manusianya, koleksinya, maupun bentangan sejarahnya yang masih dipelajari hingga sekarang ini. Kata Kunci : Kepustakawanan Islam klasik, Perpustakaan masa sekarang     ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze how the development of classical Islamic librarianship and how it contributes to the development of libraries in the present. The method used in making this article is the method of literature using several sources of books and journals on the development of libraries in classical Islam. The results showed that during the heyday of Islam, the library became a learning tool so that the Muslims at that time were able to build a great civilization and survive for centuries. The development of the library exists and arises because of the love of books and science by the kings and aristocrats and former intellectuals. With their love of science, the name of the Library as a center of education emerged. Based on the historical dimension, the contribution of the library in the classical period to the library that developed in the present certainly has a very large contribution in advancing world civilization today. His contributions include various aspects of both his people, collections, and the historical landscape that is still studied until now.  Keywords: Classical Islamic Librarians, Today's Libraries

Abstract

Background of the study: Circular Letter No. 62 of 2020 concerning the Preservation of Covid-19 handling archives is a public policy that needs to be implemented by State Universities as part of government agencies. Purpose: This study aims to explore efforts to implement policies to preserve the records of Covid-19 handling at university and understand the challenges it faces as university that does not have its own Archive yet. Method: This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. There are three informants selected through the purposive sampling method. Informants were selected based on the following criteria: 1) has mandatory duties in archival activities and 2) positioned as an archivist. Research data obtained through interviews and documentation studies Findings: The university efforts in preserving Covid-19 handling archives are carrying out internal communication to preserve archives within the General, increasing archivists’ competencies and knowledge, and conducting from preparation to Covid-19 archives assessment. Related efforts in the organizational structure have not been made because this process takes a long time. The challenges arise from the lack of human resources in every unit of PTN X and the absence of an archival institution which makes it difficult to implement implementation in all units of university Conclusion: The university has made efforts to preserve the handling of Covid-19 within the smaller scope, the General Bureau. For a wider scope, the implementation has not been carried out due to lack of human resources and the absence of university Archive owned by university. Abstract

Penyusutan arsip merupakan kegiatan pengendalian arsip yang efektif dalam pengelolaan arsip. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan proses penyusutan dan upaya yang dilakukan dalam mewujudkan efektivitas penyusutan arsip di Pusat Arsip I Kemendag RI. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode studi kasus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses penyusutan terdiri pemusnahan arsip yang tidak bernilai dengan menggunakan jasa pihak ketiga dan penyerahan arsip yang memiliki nilai berkelanjutan ke Arsip Nasional Republik Indonesia (ANRI). Unit Kearsipan I telah berupaya untuk mencapai efektivitas penyusutan arsip melalui penetapan tujuan, integrasi, dan adaptasi. Penetapan tujuan dilakukan melalui penetapan jadwal penyusutan arsip; integrasi dilakukan dengan melaksanakan pembagian kerja untuk mendukung pelaksanaan penyusutan arsip yang maksimal, dan adaptasi dilakukan dengan menyesuaikan dengan perubahan terkait sarana dan prasarana. Penelitian ini memberikan gambaran tentang bagaimana pelaksanaan penyusutan arsip dan rangkaian upaya yang dapat dilakukan lembaga arsip untuk mencapai efektivitas penyusutan arsip

Abstract

Introduction. The spread of the infodemic during the COVID-19 pandemic prompted the need for e-literacy to counteract the negative impacts it had. This study aims to describe how students apply e-literacy in response of infodemic on social media. Data Collection Methods. This research is a qualitative research using a phenomenological approachthrough interviews. The four informants of this study are students of Library Science at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. Data Analysis. Data analysis was conducted by reducing the results of the interviews, coding, then connecting themes and descriptions, and interpreting them. Results and Discussion. In communicating infodemic, students apply e-literacy by operating laptops and mobile phones in accessing information; find, evaluate, and use information according to their needs; consider ethics, religion, and social norms in communication; access, analyze, evaluate, and create infodemic content on social media; as well as being able to absorb information, transform and create new ideas. Conclusion. Library Science students are able to apply e-literacy in communication on social media, both in consuming and producing information related to COVID-19. Research on e-literacy aside from the infodemic and post-pandemic needs to be carried out to see the results of e-literacy implementation.
Preserving Silat Sutera Baja as an Intangible Cultural Heritage through Knowledge Transfer Irfaniah, Hikmah

Abstract

One of Indonesia's intangible cultural heritages that needs to be preserved is pencak silat. Through knowledge transfer, such cultural heritage is transmitted from one generation to the next. This study aims to elaborate the knowledge transfer process carried out by Silat Sutera Baja Kemayoran Community. This research adopts qualitative case study to gain in-depth understanding of knowledge transfer performed in the community. Research data was obtained through observation and interviews of five informants. Data analysis conveys reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results shows that knowledge of Silat Sutera Baja is transferred from Silat instructors to the students through training. The knowledge transfer process takes four stages, including initiation, transfer, ramp-up, and integration. The initiation of knowledge transfer stems from the instructors' motivation to maintain the culture and facilitate students.  Transferring knowledge is carried out by giving examples of the movements followed by students, while knowledge other than movement is given by storytelling. At the ramp-up stage, students' knowledge is known by how they show the movements they have mastered, while at the implementation stage, students' knowledge is known when they practice competing. The Silat Sutera Baja community requires more suitable equipment and space for their knowledge transfer practice.  Despite these constraints, the instructors can continue passing their knowledge to the younger generation.
