Abstract

This research is an application of Hill Cipher cryptographic techniques in the process of encoding messages in the form of Arabic text. Hill Cipher is a classic cryptographic algorithm that uses modulo matrix and arithmetic in its application. The Arabic text used in the Hill Cipher cryptographic technique includes hijaiyyah letters ا, ب, , ي, أ, إ, ؤ, ئ, ى, ة, space , ., ،, ؟, !, and Arabic numbers 0, 1, 9, so the modulo used is                    . This study discusses the steps in encrypting messages with examples of their application in securing Arabic text documents.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji etnomatematika pada tradisi weh-wehan yang ada di Kecamatan Kaliwungu Kendal. Weh-wehan merupakan salah satu tradisi keagamaan di Kaliwungu Kendal yang dilakukan dengan cara saling menukar makanan antar tetangga dalam memperingati hari lahir Nabi Muhammad SAW. Data diperoleh dari sumber dokumentasi dan wawancara beberapa tokoh masyarakat. Selanjutnya penelitian disajikan secara deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Merujuk aktivitas fundamental matematis menurut Bishop, diperoleh  bahwa tradisi weh-wehan memuat lima dari enam aktivitas fundamental matematis yang ada, yaitu counting, locating, designing, playing dan explaining.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the basic reproduction number for Covid-19 with vaccination. The research method used is a literature study. The research step begins with construct a mathematical model of Covid-19 with vaccination, determining the basic reproduction formula and simulation. The mathematical model of Covid-19 is constructed by distinguishing susceptible subpopulations that have vaccinated doses 1 or 2, as well as infected subpopulations that have been vaccinated or not before. The model is . The analysis shows that the basic reproduction formula consists of several types of parameters. It is in accordance with simulation by using Matlab software. Simulation was taken based on Covid-19 and vaccination data in the Central Java Province. It shows that the greater the value of individual being vaccinated, the lower the basic reproduction number. This means that Covid-19 can disappear if more individuals get vaccinated against Covid-19.
